Interlagos really does just encourage barging/pushing your way past. If the person behind you is faster than you, then you kind of have to defend the inside at T1 otherwise you are probably looking at multiple places lost, even if the driver behind is clean and passes fair. So you stop them overtaking (most of the time anyway) by holding the inside tight but this tends to just frustrate the guys behind as it is by far the easiest place to overtake. So if they don't just ram you up the arse, or try to go around the outside into, with a little pushing of course, then you can bet that somewhere in the middle sector the barge pass will be coming out. This is even worse if you are stuck in a group of cars, there will always be a chance to do it then and most just can't resist, the mid-field is just full of this rubbish.

Almost the only way you can get a clean race (a real one, not the clean race bonus, you can get that with penalties and multiple incidents) is driving off into the distance from pole.

Still no idea of how I got that time with the Mustang the other day, so switched to the F-type now, not quite as fast yet but it feels better in the race so I think it is faster. Also if someone has a nice livery for it (Gr4 F-type) then I'll happily use it when I next race, just point me in the correct direction. ;)

I got a few Jag liveries. My psn is lazaruskie. Feel free to help your self if you like any of them

I'm not kidding but from my times in SR A, I've had cleaner races there than at SR S 99. The way I saw it was people trying to get back into SR S so were driving a lot more safer/cleaner. I guess your experience was an unfortunate one.

I can because it's PD.

So you're saying next week Race A is a Mini

It's not impossible. I've had cleaner races as DR/B in SR/B & SR/A races, especially SR/A.

As has been said previous, SR/A racers are trying to get into SR/S, so have to race a little cleaner.

Fellow races do abuse the SR/S level.

Okay then I have no idea what was going on with the SR/A people I was racing. It honestly seemed like they were doing the "Drop down to 1 SR as fast as possible" challenge.

Soooo... Why... Don't... You... Move... Up... A... Ranking... Where... It's... More... Competitive... For... You...??

You know, just saying... ;)

Well see the problem for me is, that my buddies also use my account so I get my DR and SR up and then they play and tank it. So basically I end up in slower lobbies where I seem to be faster then everyone else.

So I decide to not qualify because it’s a lot more fun passing guys then just running around the track by yourself. But again when I do that I’m not out there trying to get the win and racing super hard I’m just out to have fun.

I’d make an alt account to let my buddies use, that way when you want to race you can actually have a decent race. :)

My first race last night was like yours. It was total chaos, and pretty much everyone but the leader, myself and a couple no qually people seemed to be in on it. Everyone was chaotically barging, punting and brake checking. After halfway through lap 1 when I had already seen 2 punts, a couple of brake checks and had 2 people barge me in turn 4 I figured the game they were playing. From there it was trying to wait for them to kill themselves and their tires or pass them at the penalty zone. All the while making sure I had a gap behind to try and prevent dive bombers. Got as low as 11th but by the end I was up to 5th yet lost it down to 6th with a nudge at the last turn as the guy behind had pitted for fresh tires and mine were garbage so he didn't realize I would be having to stop that bad. Once that carnage was over I got into 2 lucky lobbies that were still mostly B SR but managed to get 2 clear races, only prevented from 2 CRB by a hairpin slide on the last lap on race 2.

Keep hunting, good lobbies are there, but luck is huge in that factor.

But your fun is at someone else's expense. OK, you might be ultra clean and if so it's not a problem that you do no-qualy, but the majority of those who do are not clean. They don't always wreck our race but they do always disturb it. I have no problems being overtaken, swish by me on the exit, do an over-under, out brake me if you have the corner I will yield.
But don't nudge me, don't draft-bump me. It's the faster drivers responsibility to pas safely and to allow me to use my own braking points and even my own line. The one coming up is always the one responsible.
I haven't done a no qualy for a couple of weeks, but some of what could be perceived as over aggressive behaviour is actually just down to speed difference. We, as runners from the back need to be aware of it - especially in very mixed lobbies.

I had an incident a few weeks ago in the GR2 at Autopolis, I was catching a C/S rated guy after pitting at 4s a lap. In the run up to the left hand hairpin I didn't feel I was quite close enough to make a move so the intention was to brake slightly early, get a good corner and exit and overtake going down the hill. What happened was he braked 50m earlier than I would expect someone to brake, I dived left to avoid ploughing into the back of him, he seemed to think I was doing some sort of dive bomb to the inside and moved across, I got as tight on the inside as I could, was fully alongside, stopped on the apex but was crawling around the corner, he turned in, hit me, spun, I get a 4s penalty and loads of abuse after the race. It would have looked ultra aggressive from his point of view, but I was just reacting to him doing something I completely didn't expect and trying to avoid contact.

Whether he normally braked that early I don't know, but it's just an instance of a massive speed difference between two drivers almost 'forcing' an aggressive move when there was never an intention to do so, and they pop up regularly when running from the back in fast cars.

My next no qualy though will be when I've got that particular account up to 40k so there's not such a huge speed difference between me and some of the guys I'm racing, it should negate it somewhat

I am aware that the speed difference is a risk. And also probably a source of adrenaline :)
And I don't think that all the aggressive behaviour is on purpose. Much of it is likely down to what you say and then there is the aggressiveness needed to be competitive in high lobbies. Most of us slower drivers doesn't have that. You guys have it and use it in every race among your peers. But we spook easily ;)

Well, I've managed to literally battle my way up to DR C now, been a learning process, getting a bit of a calmer head about me as I now kinda understand what to expect more, and my SR is starting to rise again after taking a pounding (99 to 36 in a day!), I'll be honest, I'm not exactly mr innocent sometimes, but neither are a lot of people! But anyhow, I'm still early days. Need to get myself up to S again now, without destroying my DR in the process!

A late start to the week for me. Head hasn't been in a great place. Still, lap one at Suzuka, and I'm half a second off my best ever lap time. Not bad at all.

I don't think I'm going to be racing this week. Not on my main account, anyway. Maybe we'll give Interlagos a crack on the R4M account, while Sarah is in Bracknell . .

SR.S is a mess. Yet no matter how many red ratings at the end, it never changes. They always come back. Here is 2 laps of SR.S

It's not really dirty, more reckless, clueless, impatience, lack of situational awareness, mixed with plenty lag.

And I guess I'm DR.C now, this being the final nail in the coffin
