I made one. Use it if you like :)

(Sinister, I am not sure anyone can make a GT86 look sinister or menacing. But I tried)
Thank you so much! I love it. I'll be showing off it's backside to everybody at Willow next week. :D
I'm staring at your Tide Mustang right now, waiting for some more design ideas to come to me. I feel like it's almost done, but it just needs something more. I'll have it wrapped up soon. 👍

Holy Toledo!
Last night I decided to run a qual lap while waiting for the race to start. Think it was like 40.7 or so...
Start 8 all b s.
First 5-6 laps were nice racing, clean as could be but for one dirty Cayman from the south. I was by him so all was well...
I was driving clean, and of course guys ahead were battling and bogged me down which allowed the Cayman to catch, first chance he punts me, I’m not reset, but now the pack begins to just mob me. Things got ugly.
I dove away inside going for the hard deck crying no joy, which further angered the swarm behind...
I was able to be ok, caught and passed the Cayman I think 4 times in that race, but they would not let me escape their door banging nonsense.
Finally, lap 8 I pass that little rat through t4 exit, and hug inside track, he pit maneuvers me and himself...monster sick rally drift, cutting the whole track, mid drift my nose points him straight, and we both get back on the tarmac but he’s maybe 2-3 seconds out. It may be possible if you get bashed off at t4:
To just continue and cut the track, I dunno, but I know I cut it with him when hit took me out and didn’t get reset....
I didn’t let him survive t1, plowed him at full tilt, nightmare Mario kart joke of a race lol.
I was rewarded for not smashing the guys ahead by getting clobbered and getting into a raucous brawl.
The Cayman did finish ahead of me, but he started seven and finished 14, so I sort of made him pay.
Sven was right there was some ugly stuff happening last night. When will people learn battling is bad juju.
After the race I did a few qual laps and did 38.6:which was what I had last time...
The mistake I made last night was not taking the Cayman out soon enough completely enough and getting away, he was just fast enough to continue his bs, since traffic was holding people up...
The evil side of me kinda wants to do another prime time b s room, and park on the apex t1, t2, lap one from a decent starting position and just let it begin...
Is that wrong?

Interlagos is just getting worse as the week goes on. One clean race this morning, the rest all bump bump barge punt dive bump. I just quit another hopeless room, got better things to do than play pinball. 5K Dr left. I also got a disconnect in a race that started out well. It seems every day now that I get disconnected.

Silver lining, I'll actually get to start near last at N24 on Monday :)

Glad you like it. A new kind of theme for me :)

I agree with Interlagos and all the pushing just wrecks the tyres, as if it isn't bad enough already. Driving with tyres so rubbish isn't much fun. :indiff:

Even if I switch to the Trophy because it is Op as far as wear is concerned, I would probably just get bashed off on the straights where it is so slow and I wouldn't feel right just pushing the other cars out of the way in the 2nd sector so I could fly through there, which seems to be typical of anyone driving this car. :indiff:

Did a couple of races in the Jag tonight after using it to improve my Q time. I like it, but it does eat it’s front tires quite a bit in the race.

Started at the back for the first one with @Winnie847 starting either on pole or P2, I can’t remember now. Had a good race but there was one guy in a Megane that was bump passing every thing he came close to, causing buildups in traffic as he did it. It makes it harder to gain places when the cars bunch up into 2/3/4 car groups. It was still a fun race though and @Winnie847 ended up winning the race, Congrats on the Dub Man!

Thanks! That was a really fun race. I started in P2 and the guy on pole had a qualy lap in the 37’s but he chose the Huracan so I knew he would either pit or his tires would die of death. He chose death! This guy was a very smart defensive racer though and it took me awhile to figure out how and where to pass him. We each made some dumb mistakes and traded positions a couple times but I don’t think we were out of each other’s slipstream the whole race.

This was actually my 2nd race there in the Lexus and after that I switched to the 86 because I was done saving tires and that car ended up being faster for me over the course of the race. Here’s the vid of our 11 lap battle:

I raced until pretty late and ended the night with 7 wins I think it was. 3 or 4 at Suzuka and 3 or 4 at Interlagos, can’t remember. Lots of podiums in between, and a few really bad ones. People were starting to get real dirty and desperate at both races so I started driving more defensively and it paid off.

Quick update on actual races. My first foray back into racing after a self imposed ban last week (for losing my rag just a bit....)

Was going very well until the very guy I had the run in with last week showed up. Can't be bothered with that rubbish so sat out a couple, then went back in to find this fella:

You can imagine how he reacted every time I went anywhere near him. Seriously, morons everywhere it seems. Shame, I really enjoy Goodwood and the first few races were great. Hope they revisit it with the Gr. 4 cars as a race C - that was a fun combo.

That final chicane is a destroyer of dreams. It's really worth watching the top laps to see where small differences equate to big chunks of time.

The chicane at Goodwood freaks me out more than the one at Dragon Trail. On DT you kind of slice trought it in one move. But at Goodwood you negociate it.

Seven race this morning and my QT of 1.28.8 got me 3 poles then @Dairyworker showed up and he got the poles. Also manage 3 wins with fast and clean racer.

Three great races so far in the clio this morning. @Mc_Yavel has been in them all so far. One of them was an amazing race from start to finish with him and two other friends. He may have taken down t1 in the last race, not sure what happend.

Going in for more, hope the quality keeps up...

Yesterday, we managed two laps of 4 cars in the same second. Today we improve it. We manage 5 laps of 3 cars in half a second. Fourth was also close. From start to finish, no contact, best feeling! I saved the race but there is not much to see, but man that was a good race!!!

I was not push into the grass, I left some room on the inside for the car that got a better start than me. But I didn't adjsut my speed and put two wheels on the grass it suck me in wide. I manage a nice come back from 10th to 4 though.

Crap week for me so far. Every race SR down.

Down at 80 SR now. Honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm trying to drive as safe and fair as possible. I let cars pass, I make an effort to leave room, I stick to my line and I never retaliate. But every race I get warnings and penalties for out of control drivers hitting me. This is not a racing game anymore. It's an accident avoidance game.

Thanks, again.
I just finished your Mustang!

Apologies ahead of time, because after I finished putting in all of the design elements that I wanted, wherever I tried applying the Tide logos, it just wasn't looking good. It kinda cheapened the look.

So, I failed on the Tide theme, but I made you a nice looking Gr.4 Mustang. 👍

I really hope you enjoy it, anyways.

I'll share it in the game now, under my RPMcMurphy01 account. Should be visible within 5 minutes.

The strengths and weaknesses of the different cars really comes into play here. Some of the cars are all straight-line pace, some are agile and carry corner speed. They get the laptime very differently but get the same time nonetheless.

Firstly people need to understand the above, secondly they need to be willing to work with it. If you start at the front, the Trophy is a good bet but if you're further back you are much less likely to exploit that S2 pace, meaning you're immediately a second a lap down. The GT86 is a smidge slower in outright terms but will happily run 1:41 for 11 laps. If you're near the front, that should be competitive.

I had a race earlier in the Huracan and came up on a Cayman. It took me a while to figure the car out. Ignoring the pure erratic nature of its driver and the random lines it took, it definitely stopped faster than I could, which caught me out initially and I had to adjust. Many people just do the punt and run.

I've not raced at Suzuka but it looks like the BoP works well there. I've got 2:00.x times in five different cars.

This is Interlagos and how you have to race to get a good result, it's not pretty really and I would much rather not race like this but it is what it is at this point. :indiff:

This below is the sort of thing that is also quite common here and I just laugh when I see it now. Pathetic penalty too so they still beat the car they knocked off. :banghead:

Had a few more races with @Mc_Yavel and a great morning of racing after that aswell. Lots of familiar and trusted names in my races this week, it's a nice feeling to race with trust in the competition. Even saw @dlshearon and @Lgirasol in a few, good to see you guys on the track!

The race yavel mentioned was amazing, easily one of the best daily races i have had the pleasure of being a part of. I watched the replay and it is kinda "boring" but amazing to watch knowing how hard it is to run a parade like that in this game, and through the chicane every lap. Again, great racing today sir. Having you behind me in that race gave me the ability to focus on following mrclemmer without being scarred of anything from behind.

Had a bunch of really close races with a guy after you left. Traded wins, but this was the end result of the tightest fight we had....

.004 He ate a bit to much grass off the chicane and the drag race to the line was on lol never seen his name before but he was getting the pole with a .2xx qualy. Great competitor, races hard but with respect. Clean hard competiton is the best part of this game for me.

Time for beer things....

Give the GR4 86 a go. Very good on tires, and it's not as slow as the Trophy.

jeez, that tyre wear is unbelievable. Mine was worse than that after 3 laps in the Megane

I’m not gonna lie, it was a smooth run. I have the full screenshot in game and shared it with friends. After several races like this...

It was nice to just get a walkoff.
There was great racing to be had last time at Goodwood.
That’s where I met @Dairyworker and viewed some of the action up close...Last time...He’s so right about that race...
The car and track combo is really great, the car is excellent to drive.
I just focused on Interlagos for some reason this week. Trying to do better on gr4 in general...

Had a couple of tries with the 4C last night. Hmmmm. What can I say. Takes me 2 laps every race to start steering it right, even with lots of practice. Next to no tire wear but really not much speed. Both races I was in fast A and B lobbies so it didn't help my cause but I struggle to finesse that thing through Senna. On the bright side I passed 2 cars last lap both races due to my tires and steady speed. Second race my fastest lap was a 41.5 on lap 10! If you can stay up pack with good laps at the start and suck slipstream like a champ everything will come back to you last half of the race with that thing. I can't do it but maybe others can. Nothing else happened. Tried multiple qualifying sessions in the megane, still can't catch the jag though

Having fun in my one Race C a day in the GT86.

The tire wear is very low, which really comes into it's own in the final 4 laps or so.

Started 17 of 18, and finished 6th. But the racing was brutal. Of the 18 racers, just 5 of us had green bars throughout the race. Every South American flag entry either had red or yellow bars, and it was just a punt fest.

It is definitely becoming Mario Karts out there as the week gets older, which isn't normally the case.

Oh Plz not again...Its getting worsen and worsen when peanlties had mod... Here have a look this video:

I got 2 sec penalty for what!

My experience with race c and the rcf. Good for qualifying as i was able to get a high 1:38 without much practice which is really good for me. Race pace is pretty rough though since it seems to be pretty bad on tires. It was on pace to be at about 25 pct on the fronts id guess if i didnt pit. Guess ill try one of the others to see if i can get some better race performance.

Pitting takes too long. It’s like a 12s loss, I tested it last night and almost lost a huge lead I had. Find a car that is better on tires or try to adjust your driving style to save tires more. I think braking hard and braking too much while turning in is what eats tires the most, so brake a little earlier than usual and only in a straight line. Brake lightly if you must trail brake in the twisty parts of the track.
