Ah yes, rugby, that famous non-European sport.
American football is just rugby for people frightened of getting hurt. See ice hockey and actual hockey.

Unfortunately more injuries in American Football - particularly brain. Padding provides a false sense of security and the speed of collisions goes up negating the benefits of the helmets/padding. Kind of a Sterling Moss argument in favor of Rugby... you don't hit full speed b/c you know what the result will be. People still get hurt but not to the same degree.

As for hockey, it reminds me a bit more of certain drivers in GT Sport dailies...

What if there are multiple all equally perfect racing lines?
What if the rival cars have lots of difference in their breaking and acceleration capability?
What if the battling pilots have much difference in their skills?
You wouldnt like my attack at Nur chicane from the outside but i believe its fair. :) I managed to pass there three times/two of them no contact.
look at the f1 battles, they also make unpredictable moves, bottas vs hamilton, schumacher vs alonso etc... Sometimes they get really dirty when defending, example hamilton. Also max verstappen may always come to have his unique racing lines.
Once i made the attack and hold the advantage, the defender must avoid a collision.
Sorry i havent been practicing my english lately.
Too many "ifs", what do you want me to say? Yes, there are situations when such a move can be done CLEAN... Really, I dont know what to say:)

Exactly... something is not right here. My guess is that the power/weight figures disclosed by PD does not accurately describe the BoP adjustments they are making under the hood. As such, would like to get a better understanding of the following (have inserted my best guesses into the below)

1. Top Power Cars
Viper
Aston
Corvette
MB
GT-R

2. Top Momentum Cars
458
650S
Lancer/WRX

3. Top Tire wear
M4

I'd replace the Vette with the Ford GT

When I think of hockey hits, Scott Stevens is the first name that comes to mind. :D

Penalty system and contacts but nobody talks about the ghosting.
I am watching the replay of the race atm i managed to win with a crb in a C/C field. I believe PD made a very good job with the ghosting. It is kinda arcade thing but a must with these online races especially lower rating lobies.

We got to rename that long three apex curve on Gardens II the Hanson Brothers!

Well now I'm confused. When my SR is at 99 I usually see around 5 to 10 A/A+/S drivers in a lobby (with me qualifying anywhere between 3rd and 7th) and the rest of the room gets filled with B/S drivers, pretty rare to see a C or D driver on them. But when my SR goes down below 90, suddenly my quali lap is good enough for 2nd or pole, and I start to see C and D drivers in lobbies.

What region do you race in? I raced all Sunday, 56 races in SR.S on race B and never saw more than a few A+ and A drivers. Every room went down to D/S. I'm racing on the NA server.

When you go below 90 it gets messy due to a bug in matchmaking.

What it does is
A1. Collect everyone in 90-99 SR range.
B1. Sort all entries on DR.
C1. Create rooms in descending DR order, first room starts with A+, last room ends with DR.D

A2. Collect everyone in 80-89 SR range
B2. Sort all entries on DR.
C2. Continue filling rooms, starting with the left over spots from C1, in descending DR order.

A3. Collect everyone in 70-79 SR range
B3. Sort all entries on DR.
C3. Continue filling rooms, starting with the left over spots from C2, in descending DR order.

Etc.

Now suppose it's creating rooms of 4 and we have these entries (SR/DR)
99 A+
99 A
97 A
99 B
99 C
99 D
91 D
87 A+
89 D
85 D
88 D
76 A

which results in

Room 1: 99 A+, 99 A, 97 A, 99 B
Room 2: 87 A+, 99 C, 99 D, 91 D
Room 3: 76 A, 89 D, 85 D, 88 D

Adding the highest DR drivers, from a lower SR bracket, to fill the last spots from the last room in the higher SR bracket where the lowest DR drivers are, is what creates those unbalanced rooms, high DR on pole and then a big skill gap, low DR behind.

It makes much more sense to take whatever is needed to complete the rooms in the higher SR bracket from the lower SR bracket(s), resort and then create the rooms. so you would get

Room 1: 99 A+, 87 A+, 99 A, 97 A
Room 2: 99 B, 99 C, 99 D, 91 D
Room 3: 76 A, 89 D, 85 D, 88 D

Or take drivers from the lower SR bracket that match the DR range in the room that needs to be filled.
The system is way too simplistic and continuously creates unbalanced rooms even when enough entries are present. Only the top 90 to 99 SR rooms work like they should. Yet on the NA, that sample is so low nowadays that those rooms usually are A+/S to D/S.

Big fan of Gr.3 at Monza coming back.

No offence but I'm starting to feel Europeans don't know what contact sport means. :P

American Football, Rugby, Ice Hockey are contact sports. There are guidelines on the way contact is allowed.

Soccer, Basketball, Motorsports are non-contact sports. Contact is to be avoided and penalized at the discretion of officials.

It's not about the amount of contact. It's about the rules of contact.
Football and basketball are both contact sports.

Since I'm not too excited about any of the daily races, I spent a couple hours putting together a bunch of clips of my GT Sport daily racing failures. This compilation contains no victories or sweet passes. It's me making stupid mistakes, other people doing stupid stuff to me, and PD issuing some hilarious penalties. Some, I guess is just rotten luck. Feel free to laugh at me. A lot of you have experienced these same things.
Some of you may see yourselves in these clips, or someone you know. 👍
Sorry, it's long. The clips are all short. I found more stuff than I expected.

I'm from Brazil, so I also race on the Americas server, and in fact, I was just racing an hour or so ago (got into A+!) and the rooms had no D/S drivers. There were only a few times where one or two C/S drivers would appear.

Also, in one of these races I ended up making another move similar to the previous one, but this time it was over two cars.

In my opinion this one was better. I was much closer to the cars ahead and the Corvette left a huge door open plus he was too worried about oubraking the Viper (which he did) and squeezing him to the outside of the corner.

I LOL'd often.. Nice work!

Having a chat in FIA, about using Chevrolet(Hey, that rhymes).

Tired of he radar like people suggested and first time using the GR.3 C7 in an ONLINE race(seriously). It's a bit loose, but nice gearbox! I missed the apexes like nobody's business!

As for the radar, I don't like it. Felt like the car behind just pops up. From P2 viewpoint, I'm chopping it's front off and felt a bit anatuerish from me. I did switch to the redundant track map. It allowed me to see more of the cars behind and judge the gap better.

Surprisingly, I only used the look behind on the last lap(again, it probably shows how I misjudging the car behind). I'm usually using it all race. :)

I'll see how it goes in FIA Nations.

Very nice piloting. You deserve to be A+ :)
I managed to pull couple of similar overtakes today at the same breaking zone. Also a couple at the chicane attacking from outside and one irregular overtake attacking from outside while breaking at the last turn after the chicane, he slided on the chicane exit and recovered but much slower than me, i managed to pull it clean and got the line secure but rammed after. I watched the replay he didnt break!!! Said sorry after chat but killed my podium.
