Did some Cs and was having fun, getting better so decided to improve my Q. Knocked over 3 secs off it and went from an average of Q16 to starting from the back in 2 races. Now I don't expect pole or even being at the front every race, but how can I get worse positions with a better time if I'm running the same rating? Basically PD hates me and is going to put me at the back unless I can become an alien. 1st race with new Q and there are As and 1 D, I'm on C. Before I'm getting Cs and Ds with the odd B. I think not having a QT for this race would be best, might get races where I can compete, too late now.

Sounds like you got bumped up a split for a race, could just be the matchmaking at the time as well as a faster qualy lap.

Urgh! This week.
Had two fairly clean races with maybe a slight touch here and there, but no issues. Red B's in both races. I wouldn't be surprised if you lost SR for a CRB this week. Something is really wrong here.

It always amazes what I get hit for and what I then get away with. Like you said, car spins or super light touch and penalty and SR down, run a guy off the road, no worries.

Last night a guy in front of me took the inside then took the outside then took the inside, I absolutely despise that and on the long fast left hander (second one) i got inside him and unintentionally squeezed him off the road, he would have been ok if he eased off but i wasn't letting up after the crappy defending he did. he ended up in Narnia and i got away free of blame.... like what.

decided to do my own 2 week “no TCS “ trial period, to give it an honest try before I right it off completely.

Throttle control is a discipline that is tough to master. I've gotten it for 2 classes of race cars, but not any of the fast ones.

So I am taking a risk by fiddling with TC as i race.

Sounds like you should just run TCS 1 the whole race & see how you fare. Fiddling with options during a race is a recipe for disaster.

I binned it once. Realised I was still at TC0 entering the first chicane and hurridly flicked it up to TC2 but lost my poise and binned it.
I would either drive off the side on the straight, or totally miss my brake point and hit the wall. I've done that last one a couple of times because I use bumper cam. Drafting, and miss my marker because I can't see around the guy in front. Last time was at Tokyo, coming into the pit hairpin. Pulled out of the draft on the inside, hit the brakes, and realized I missed my mark by 50 feet (meters?) Thought I was going to take out the top 4, but I dropped the brake and hung a left between P2 and 3. Probably hit the wall at over 100, but didn't touch another car. I don't like doing that to people...I got lucky.:ouch:

I have no idea how you folks can drive some of these twitchy. oversteery Gr 3 cars. For me it is trying to fly a 20 dollar drone in a 20MPH wind..lol. Obviously I need to get better (better throttle control) to handle some of these. Until then, I am sticking with the 911. Beetle, R8 (at TSC 2). I love the DBR9 but it is not very competitive. Anyway, there are people obviously driving the twitchy cars on the edge. At Kyoto - Yamigiwa I have seen several cars oversteer off the track at the entry to the first chicane, at the hairpin, and at the last part of the 2nd chicane. Anyway, until I improve, the Beetle has been quite driveable in race B. I am not blowing by anyone, but I am gaining spots by staying on pace and on the track.

I am the number one fan of that car, you can just LAY on the gas so early. It does understeer though but to me, it is by a good margin the fastest of the "safe" cars on just about any track.

Give the Ft whatever a run, you will be pleasantly surprised. Managed a 32.9 in it.
Just drove the 2020 AMG GT3 Evo in ACC. That car is niiiiiiice. I'm warming to it. Might try another qualy, on the alt, for Race B. I'll leave the FIA events for my main.

Got Platinum Trophy the other night. Exactly 365 play days according to KudosPrime, which wasn't planned on my part. Nurburgring Circuit Experience was the hardest thing I had to do. Completed all the accomplishments except for the 15 clean races, & 1000 photos taken.
Online stats:
Races 1394
Pole Position 219
Fastest Laps 209
Wins 214
Consecutive Clean Races 10

I know this thread isn't likely the right place for this, but didn't want to create a new thread, and daily races did contribute to a lot of exp.. haha

Me too on c...
Has anyone tried A race on NA?
<...snip..>
Very slow cars on a horsepower track, zzzzZzzZzzzZZZzzz
I did it once. It's not very fun. FF :indiff:

It is a nice mental break. The last three weeks of Race C (Spa/LS/Bathurst) plus the current SF/Suzuka fireworks chaser have been intense.

I am enjoying a little slow motion R&R at race A. If you bump another car... nothing really happens... it just continues to putter along and so do you.

For Suzuka, I have done one race and am still working on QT. I have not yet found the race rhythm.

Race B

The drivers behavior in EMEA server is worst than America's

I'm talking about my last two races there

I'm back to America for now
I've played them all and they're all the same. You get some clean drivers, some bad drivers and some dirty ones. It's just luck of the draw what you get each game, wouldn't say SR rating affects this much, but B/S and higher the dirty ones usually have a better idea on how to get away with it.

Don't false start on C, you'll get a pen when someone hits you too :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Been grinding through race C most of the evening and had some really fun close and clean racing at times. I can only say at times because there has been some pretty dirty races too sadly which were not so much fun.

My SR has took a bit of a hit early in the evening thanks to a Greek driver whom I didn't see complete a lap without having some sort of penalty. Thankfully I have managed to fix my SR, even better I am no longer racing in the basement rank and have somehow found my way into rank C.

Don't expect I will be troubling any higher rank as I don't have the pace and always feel like I am racing to my limits as it is but still I am happy I have made a bit of progress. Not bad for an old geezer with a controller

Ran about 7 Race Bs last night trying to learn this load cell braking. Slowly getting there. Lobbies were pretty clean up front. Got demoted back into the pack thanks to me being a chicane cutting cheater, guys in mid pack raced pretty clean as well. Not perfect, but no one was purposefully running you off or pushing to pass. I rather enjoyed myself.

I've done almost exclusively race B.

My best starting position was 8th. I'm usually between 10 and 12

Finished 5th 3 times, moving up multiple positions each race, mostly due to poor drivers in front of me.

In all my races (maybe 7) I've only encountered 1 overtly dirty driver.

I'm liking the Beetle. I can't control the Supra, possibly because I've never used it before.

Race A this week:

Monday: Clean racing, few dirty guys but nothing too insane.
Tuesday: Started off well and progressed to my first rage quit in months. It was a Type R demo derby. Bye SR!
Wednesday: I was the only A A in the race, everyone else was B A so I knew it could get dicey. Started pole, and had a clean 1st lap, but 2nd place decided it's time for the dive bomb attacks. I get knocked to 2nd (yes, physically knocked) and ride his a** for next couple laps. 1/2 way through the final lap I decide it's time to make a move, it worked. Now, 2nd place hot head attempts to rear end me into the sand. So, on the following corner I succumbed his low, low level and gently guided him into the sand. Did it feel good, yes, do I know better, yes. Enter race A at your own risk!
It's not very fun.

Dang it.
Crashed myself off at Spoon. Got into a pack. The system had its way with me pretty good.
I got sr downs for people coming to a damn halt wth.
Frustration has set in.
Did you see what the American did to me on the straight!? Turned hard right and put me in the support pit exit, totally unpunished. Because he had covered my tyres in 🤬 I couldn't accelerate out the chicane and you get 1s for a gentle tap. 🤬

Max gave me a second too, for who the **** knows what

Racing is intense in these cars at that track, and I keep finding out just how awful I am at controlling these things in dirty air.

Yes and I knew I should have made him pay!!!!
I lost the sr anyways!!!
I’m so pissed I didn’t light that guy up.
I should have taken him out, instead next race I got into it with three of my s American friends and quit to limit further sr damage...Too late.

Edit and I’m dead. Reset!
Thing that sucks, you slow for the car ahead, then get hit from behind and that’s your fault too.
Don’t slow, rub them that’s your fault.
Drive near them they go off also your fault.

Finally got a couple races in. Tried earlier but couldn't log onto the network. Got into a 9:00 race C, from the back. I'm low S going in, so a mixed bag with 4 or 5 no qualifiers. First couple laps were tough with traffic and cars getting together. Went 5s/1m/5s. Not a bad race, but lost too much time early. Second race was better. Started on mediums, figuring I'd be going slow, and making positions on the penalties of the first lap. Made it to L2 and stayed out since I was going well and moving forward. Ended up doing 2m/5s/4s. Tried to conserve boost for the last stint...used a bit to catch the draft, and once to ensure a pass on the way to Degner after someone went a little wide on the second stint, but had 3/4 left for the last. Pitted 6th, out in 8th with 4 to go, but 4th through 8th were close (3-4 seconds). Drove clean, made some passes, used some boost, and cleared 4th on lap 9. Made up about 2 seconds on 3rd in T1 and the esses, and was on his tail at the end of lap 10. Boosted past on the front straight, got some breathing room through the esses, but he actually bumped me a bit at the hairpin. Still there at spoon, but I hit the apex(es) and boosted up to top speed before it died. He must have run out because I just pulled away all the way to r130, and brought home the podium. Back up to a low S after dropping to A in the first race.
