It makes you start on heavy wet and you have to pit for intermediates. Pit stop is required.
Which is so dumb because the inters are basically useless in the wet conditions at Spa. There's going to be absolute carnage. Best strat is going to be starting on the inters, pit for wets after lap 1 and finish the race.

Good grief. Down to B SR. Impossible to stay contact free down near the back. Got rammed into the back of someone and it sent them off and then someone span out and didn’t ghost and I hit them side on. Assuming the algo didn’t like it. Guess I can just drive around in last place to get it back up.

The way it's listed you have to start on heavy wets :/ The intermediates work decently as well at dawn.

If it's at dawn the tires are pretty close, from my tests a couple years ago against AI

Spa x5 x5 GR.3 Audi R8 Bop start 20th 4 laps Pro AI

Dawn rain 6:30
2:40.2 best lap 6th place finish Heavy wet
2:41.5 best lap 6th place finish Intermediates
3:11.2 best lap 20th place finish Racing Hard

Day time rain 11:00
2:50.5 best lap 5th place finish Heavy wet
2:58.1 best lap 20th place finish Intermediates

Dusk rain 20:30
2:46.9 best lap 4th place finish Heavy wet
2:52.6 best lap 20th place finish Intermediates

11:00 AM race would be very bad, dawn best if we have to use both.

I'm pretty sure you can change the starting tyre in the pre-lobby settings no? Similar to switching to a different compound of dry tyre for normal Daily C races.

Sadly Sportmanship doesn't exist anymore, not at the top either. PD has really turned this game into a farce. I've been racing all day, clean races found: None. Sure there are plenty decent drivers and some very clean ones, but every race has these clowns.

Checking his profile, yep does not belong in SR.S. He did get a red S and got rewarded to start on pole in the 80-89 SR room next race. (84 SR left) One more day left, can Sunday be clean 🤣

linked the replay on his profile.. now he knows the world can enjoy it

I didn't know you could do that. It's an alt anyway. GT7 should lock you into one profile imo, not this create another one when the water gets too hot, too risky or just to have some 'fun'. But for that I would like PD to separate FIA from Sport races. Both their own DR an SR. No using daily races to 'recover' and no worry daily races are going to tank your FIA account.

Not when it just lists one. I think we've had that before where it makes you start on one compound and have to pit for the other. But it would be a first since Wet and Intermediate are always unlocked. Can use em now on the Nord!

And next week will bite me in the ass later as the game doesn't reset rain tires. So next time I use the same car I'll still be starting on wets since I hardly ever show up until its too late to change tires

I just search for the PSN on kudos, go to the official profile and comment on their uploads/gallary with a link :-)

Intermediate are impossible to drive even for one lap if start is at 11h, I participate to Digit gaming race this afternoon and everybody was wondering what will be this race...

With regards to 'mandatory tyres at pitstop' on KudosPrime for this upcoming Race C, it says mandatory tyre every week even if there isn't mandatory tyres, it usually just shows the hardest compound available for selection (or in this case 'closest to dry')
So it should be a no stop from what I can tell

It’s not gonna make you start on wets. Like you said, that would be a first, and these settings aren’t any different than many races have been in the past. There is no mandatory pit stop since it says “none,” just a mandatory tire. So heavy wets and inters are both available, but only inters are required. The question is, is using inters only faster than using wets and pitting for inters only to use for one lap? The time of day will likely determine the answer.

Just managed a 7:22 in the NSX (thank you @OJBrit and @MidnightRun85) a whole 8 seconds off my previous best from 2 days ago, and almost 20 seconds from a week ago!
Many thanks to all the tips and replays on here :-) I'm certain I can get a 7:18 if I make no stupid mistakes.

Survived this heart-in-mouth moment on my best lap.. think I gained 4/10ths

Glad I could help somewhat. Was a surprise to see you so far off to be honest, you're normally just quicker than me.

Only took one race to get swiftly reminded why I don't take part in daily races anymore. One guy kept punting everyone off at nurb...not a single second of penalties.

Sundays used to have some clean driving, everyone attuned to the track. But it seems without a penalty system people only get attuned to where they can make dirty moves. A popular dirty move is at Hoheneichen, before Flugplatz. Position the car on the inside and brake too late for the slight right to slip into the inside of the car ahead and use them to make the corner. There are more corners suitable to that 'tactic'. Sickening and nothing you can do about it when in traffic behind other cars.

Wee, finally, a race in SR.S where I could do a 7:12 second lap! I didn't get punted off, people were sensible, leaving room, fast pace over all. It is still possible

Actually before that race we had a 5 way sprint to the finish, big clump coming down the hill an no incidents! (Earlier in the race was not so pretty) I saved the footage but as usual forgot to save the replay. Would have been nice to see that sprint from above :)

Fingers crossed for a clean evening. Break time, then 'a couple' more laps until the races change :gtpflag:

It's doing it, best racing all week tonight!

Was nice to finish on a win, been loving Nords. Next week seems to be a week of no racing for me.
Last race I ran had a great clean race with a guy in a Corvette for almost two laps

You are correct. The race is at 11 AM, heaviest rain. Heavy wet tires no stop it is.

Race A is the Mazda RX-7

I’m out. Done a few Race Bs and cannot see the point in that combo. There is exactly one overtaking zone and unless you’re in a Megane you can’t catch anyone into it anyway. Just a boring, boring race.

Horrible set of dailies this week.

I agree, daily races are horrible this week, they destroyed a wonderful event in SPA with rain, cars completely undriveable and usual idiots who throw you off the track easily with the wet road. The only good new is that February 2th a new championship on line is going to start.

I would like to know who is the genius responsible for creating the weekly races. The two circuits A and B are the worst in the game. The beautiful SPA event is ruined by the choice of rain which makes it boring and impossible to play. I run two times, and both a couple of idiots had fun throwing people off the track, very easy in that road conditions.

I hope the wet driving isn't this bad in GT7...it's impossible to tell where the tyres' grip limit is. The "dry line" is gonna make a massive difference.

Had a good week overall at the Nord. Best race lap is 7.12 I could reach 3 times only. Most of the races I stayed on track and finish higher than I started.

This my best move of the week. There is not plenty but I'm not always on full attack mode when racing there.

I'm heading to Spa and hope for best starting from the back.

it's really weird that on kudos it says the mandatory tire is the intermediate.

WHATEVER PD :dunce:
It's one of the foibles due to how the site scrapes data from the GT site. When there's two (or more) required tyre grades it often flags up that one set of tyres is mandatory to start and another is mandatory to swap to in the pits, when the reality is you can use any of them at any time.

Great C race this week! However, you need properly configured FFB to feel the grip - or you're ****ed.

TC 0 and MR car of choice. TC 1 is a lot slower, if you have a gentle right foot with TC 0.

This surprised me - I thought I'd have more control with the usual motion controls but as it turns out, I can barely keep the car straight. Roughly 5 seconds faster with a wheel...

The rear tyres wear down by the end and I just keep spinning...I don't know how anyone has that much throttle control, aliens I guess. It'd be great if I could actually hear the tyres losing grip...
