DR is hard to come by at LeMans tonight. Just did 2 C races in 45.5K DR / 99SR lobbies matched with an A+, 3 or 4 A's and filled with B/S through D/S.

Finished 5th and 6th and lost a total of 500 DR!

Theoretically driving should be getting cleaner. Anyone planning to enter the Road to GT Series, will be protective of their SR. Overall SR should trend up. :)
Emphahsis on the word theoretically. I doubt too many of the normal dirty players are interested in increasing SR for that championship 😬 And still SR imo is easy to get back up (I see some have trouble, maybe I am good at dealing with rammers/avoiding them?). Best plan to increase SR is actually to have a great quali time and just run away from the lower SR drivers. Starting from the back is risky, but can work.

Almost low key interested in this Road to GT7 championship, since it is a tuning one, which seem to suit me. But I stick by my words, can be my silent protest of GTS lack of penalty system and dirty drivers. But in reality it is just me focusing on rally games 😏 No dirty drivers on rally stages 😎

Interlagos has degenerated into a bit of a farce as the week has progressed. Loads of players have realised you can run down the inside of both hairpins and make up a ton of places guaranteed by using you as a brake. Doesn’t matter how defensive you stay inside they’ll go for it. I was with touching distance of A DR and now nearer to C due to being rammed off and coming last 3 times in a row and a network disconnect thrown in for good measure. And it’s always the RCZ drivers. Always.

I noticed the same. I have been finishing on the podium a lot yesterday morning and afternoon, top 5 at worst, usually 2nd with a couple victories along the way and my DR only increased to 47,314 from 46,484 the day earlier.

In the evening I was back in SR.S, finishing top 5 consistently in the top split, went up to 47,967 while beating a couple A+ every race. The problem is all the DR resets. The B/S drivers in the room with 3:17 qualy time were A+ start of the week. Now they finish ahead of me and suck up many DR points due to the DR difference. Then at the bottom the room is filled out with D/S. Very lean pickings.

Some rooms yesterday afternoon I lost DR by finishing 3rd and 2nd place just breaking even.

This is the exact same way mariokart does it 😆

No leaks this week about the next daily races?
Next week's races:

A. Lago Maggiore West II SM - N400
B. DT Seaside II RM - Gr.4
C. Suzuka RM - Gr.2

I've had the exact same experience, nice to know I'm not alone. I think the fact they're low speed corners makes it worse somehow -- it's like people get impatient that you're taking the corners properly so they just use you as a brake. I think it depends on who you're racing, I know a lot of people like this track, but in the mid Bs I found it a nightmare. I was an idiot and instead of walking away I kept entering more races to get back some pride (absolute worst thing to do).

Same for me at Interlagos. I think I ran a total of 7 races this week and got taken out in 5 of them. Most of them were the bump-to-pass type of people who brake too late and tap you wide, then take the position and keep going. Only once was I blatantly punted completely off track at T1, at which time I took it upon myself to cut the track massively and re-join so I could murder the punter. I let my rage get the better of me and revenge-punted all of them except one guy who got away. I'm coming for you one of these days LoopinJupiter.

This is exactly it. Because the corners are so slow it makes it trivial to nudge people out along the inside. The senna s seems to cause issues people get very annoyed if they’ve made a hash of it and if you get past I’ve found they’ll ram you at the next turn as if you’ve done something wrong by getting past them. It’s just too stop start to be enjoyable with dirty racers. The clean races I’ve had have been great so I also keep going back for more and I get why people like it. But mid B rooms are more often than not filth.

It's so hard to stay in SR.S on Sarthe. The race is worth 9 SR. Last race one contact: A B/S driver drafting me screws up his pass and taps me with his front bumper. I'm just driving straight all the way on the side. Red SR for the race, 2 points lost (guess I lost another point from a track limit somewhere). I was down to SR.A for getting bumped repeatedly, made it back just to get bumped again.

Then you get in the misfit room (80-89 SR) where I'm at 48K DR, get to race B/S to D/S drivers. I survived that room from the back (had to brake hard a couple times in Tetre Rouge and in the Porsche Curves, people fish tailing and stopping to ask for directions  )
finished 2nd and lost 30 DR... A C/S driver (DR reset) won the race.

At least they all weren't fast enough to bump me from behind and I got enough SR to get back to the top split.

And back to the misfit room, -2 SR, top split is a pack of hungry wolves pushing and bumping lol. Not sure what's more nerve wrecking, unpredictable brakers and swervers or no TCS heroes spinning out at the start followed by a shoving match

Finished second again in the misfit room, FL+CRB, an A/S driver won (pole to flag), I lost 45 DR lol. Not qualifying is not the way to get DR, but fun to make it through unscathed :)

Well I’ll finish interlagos this week with a win. Got my qualy to 1.30.9 which I’m really happy with and helped me into pole. It’s hard to get rammed off when you’re ahead from the start. Luckily second place was clean and I kept a second lead for the race.

Have they changed the DR calculations? +200 for a top split win at Le Mans???
Who else was in the room? That's all that matters. Top split has been pretty bare this evening. Plenty fast still, but lean on DR since half of the fast people are recovering from DR resets. Drive like A+, but show as A/S or B/S.

I've been finishing top 5, couple podiums yet can't break the 50K. I got to 49,592 DR then the rooms became too poor again to gain DR with fast DR resets staying ahead.

Ending on 49.3K

Messy week and despite being 99 SR all day, the last race had to dock me 13 points :ouch:

The car in front of me stayed stopped and ghosted at the start. I turned to go around him, then he suddenly materialized while moving in the same direction I was going... I bump him which almost spins my car out but recover. The other touch was in Tetre Rouge, the car in front of me slammed on the brakes to take Tetre Rouge at 150 kph :banghead: I brake hard and try to avoid, but still give him a little bump (he still stayed inside the kerb we were going so slow) thus -10 SR for me.

It turned out matchmaking had put an actual D/S driver in the top split. Maybe that was all there was left. I take Tetre Rouge slow in lap one coming from the back, coasting in 5th, yet did not expect someone full on braking in the corner. The rest of the race went great at least, no contact, no penalties, 3:21.6 best lap, 3rd place finish.

Fun week at Sarthe, got a couple victories, some luck, some in lower skilled rooms.

Time for a break, maybe do a couple Suzuka races next week. I'm pretty bored of that track though, have been racing there since the first Grand Prix Circuit in 1988. Overused track!

Didn't do as many X2019 races last week as I did at Spa! But I'd say the level of carnage was about equal. Was a typical high downforce race though, one race you just get stuck in a group that keep slipstreaming past you because of the massive straights, the next you get a bit of clean air and lap 3s faster!

Done a vid (vids will be more common now - I've had a Postman Pat reset...), wanted to commentate but rookie error(s) - didn't give myself enough time, nor do I have a good enough mic and nor is my accent compatible with many English speakers! But we'll work on it!

Was a good race from the back though, couldn't really expect to beat Calster or Kelicful so was aiming to be best of the rest

Might pull out the wheel and give Suzuka a go, I am just absolutely DREADFUL there with a controller, and i mean dreadful. I get eaten alive in the first sector, i can go ok in sector 2 but again from spoon until the finish line I am beyond slow, i just have no idea how people generate so much pace there. It's a circuit that doesn't lend itself to squaring off the corners, it's all mid corner speed and using X and square is likely hurting me so will try the wheel.

It's not that you can't win at Suzuka on a controller, but after reaching a certain DR/SR level, your competition may have better skill. I won 5 races across Gr. 3 & 4, but with Gr. 2, the car dynamics are trickier. Don't immediately give up on the wheel either. Nobody goes from controller to wheel & strikes immediate success.
