Pretty sure it won't make any difference in real life either. The electric motor is only used at low speeds and low revs. On the track, it's always going to use the ICE motor because you're pretty much always flooring it. It is either or, you don't get combined power from both motors (at least that's how it is in my Prius, and I'm pretty sure it'll be the same for Honda, though I've only test driven a Hybrid Fit, not owned one).I think the battery charge indicator in the Fit Hybrid at race A is just for show.
I just got my best qualifying lap while the battery was showing fully depleted. Compared to my ghost lap, which began with a full charge, I saw no difference in acceleration.
I believe it's only races with fuel consumption (race C/FIA) that actually consume electric power too.
Do any of you know for a fact if that's true? At this point, it's what I'm presuming.
Perhaps I'm lucky, but it's mostly been clean racing this week for me. Had a few fools in Race A, but the cars are so slow it's difficult to spin off. I haven't tried Race C yet though, gonna give that a blast tonight. Any tips for pit strat? How much fuel do you start with?
