Or the other Driver´s :sly::banghead:
This x100

Just had another race were I was leading, and took extra lap in the hope all the slow people in the back have pitted. I exit the pit on lap 7 and an idiot goes into the most idiotic driving for the next few turns, causing the othe 3-5 place to catch up and getting sandwiched and killed.

From now on, anytime this happens ( slow driver try to pretend he is no1), I’m just gonna drive him of the track and be done with this nonsense.

Continuing to mostly run the McLaren. I can’t quite gel with the Corvette. There’s something about the way it transitions from braking to throttle that doesn’t suit me.

If the gearing on the DBR9 was slightly different it would be my car of choice. I find at the hairpins it bogs down in 2nd but slides in 1st. Everywhere else it is brilliant.

Have run a few races in NA today. Top 4 finishes in top split each time. DR on the Alt is up to 57k.

Still loving Sardegna.

I had 3 races where I had a great shot at the victory, but had to settle for second place since either someone not pitting or someone who pitted early and now clearly didn't have the grip to keep up anymore felt the need to block until death. Wildly swerving on the straight, moving in the braking zone to block, pushing out when trying to go around the outside. In one of them more caught up and I got punted of course. At least I still had the fastest lap :/

Racing in GT Sport has just become about slowing the other car down. Also when I have a fast driver behind me, fast enough to keep up, they won't set up a pass. Nope, just keep sticking noses in to mess up your lines, or drive so close on your bumper you simply can't brake when you want to. I can understand that kind of pressure when it comes to the final lap for first place, yet it's every corner, any lap, while the driver sitting in front keeps increasing the gap :banghead:

So I wander back up to SR.S (only takes a few race C, so dumb) where you get these idiots, then reset myself back to low SR to be able to race with fast people that enjoy swapping positions instead of slowing each other down. Better corner exit, pass on straight, repeat. Much more fun than block till you drop, nose sticking and not leaving any room anywhere.

They are still there, mostly in SR.C lol. I had a couple great races there yesterday. First 3 wide through the 'karoussel' without problems in lap 1 when everyone was still bunched up. Then later swapping positions for a couple laps with another driver, all contact free. People that still know the art of the undercut and leave room when exiting the corner side by side. Make room when they make a little mistake so you can pass, and they can use your slipstream to minimize the time loss. I guess they are in SR.C because they get just as fed up as me with the crap dirty blocking / not leaving room tactics and punt them out of the way

I pit as late as possible not to get behind idiots again after pitting, sometimes I don't pit at all haha. At least the race was fun.

Thats exactly the same what i see on last Races. I'll start at 6-10 and use the most outside Lane on right Side for the first Corner after Race Start. Too many "DiveBomber" ans this guys can't drive fast with good Pace and if you have this Guys in front if you, your Race goes to an Disaster. That why i'm start on Medium Tires.

Soooo, as anyone else seen that the Genesis is top of the leader board at RBR (at least in EMEA)? I put down a 1:37.1 in the pug then tried the Genesis and imediately took over a second off! Down to a 1:36.0. I'm on call until tomorrow so I've not been able to race yet.

So maybe not the FF fest everyone was expecting...

I did. I tried it and I'm over 1.5s faster in the TT for some reason. Can't gel with it (the Hyundai) at RBR for some reason.

Have you tried the Aston? Doesn't have the top end legs of the McLaren or the Vette but I am eating guys alive (in A not A+ rooms) through the awkward left/right after the church.

Also, I don't understand why top guys don't run the GT? It has excellent top end, MR means you can lay on the throttle hard and she has excellent agility. I know she wants to slide so I cannot use it but for better drivers, where's the weakness?

I blame the fact the top car in trials is McLaren causing all the morons to pick it and go diving even when over half a second behind.

Edit: my SR dropped to A…

Here's an interesting one, when it happened i lost my temper and post race the other guy defended himself politely. i check the replay and seems it was 70/30 my fault. It's a REALLY awkward place to try and pass and he went inside JUST as i was swinging left but in the end he did leave enough room so my fault.

My position was at that angle he wasn't going to hug the kerb and would have turfed me off (accidently). It's a really tricky place becaue even if he pulls it off he in on the outside for the next turn.

Looks like a racing incident. It doesn't appear that anybody did anything malicious.

Only 1 race for me tonight. I start P5 for this one and start on the softs to gain some time on the middle of the field. Which worked great! I made a huge lunge on the start of lap 2 on turn 1 after P1 and P2 were fighting and I figured that everyone else has been doing it to me, it was my turn. I break away and lead until the end of lap 6 where I make my pit. I come out P4 and see if I can’t go for a win. Well, when you have the P1 driver that will block and impede your progress, you can’t do much. They were constantly trying to drive me into the wall once I got behind therm. I was way quicker than them, but I couldn’t get past. On lap 9 they run me into the wall on the straight and take out another innocent driver in the process.
This is a prime example of my rule. I'll give someone the benefit of the doubt when it comes to contact. But 2 things will take it from "accident" to "revenge". First, if I see you pushing other drivers off, I'm pushing you off to pass. You've shown your hand. The second is if you try to push me over to the side on a straight piece of track. As the video I posted the other day proves, I'm willing to get dirty if need be. Hopefully there is a competent penalty system in place for GT7 so we can penalize the pushers & shovers.

Agreed. That will always set me off. The intent is clear.

I switched to the Aston (Vantage) from the Jaguar today. Although I had been getting good results with the Jag, I knocked 1 second off my QT with the Aston, putting me further up the grid and giving me even better races.

This is one of my favourite tracks - technical, but has a good flow to it. It feels really good when you get it right!

Big advantage of the Aston s it launches off corners like a scalded cat.

This was a good race from yesterday, really solid racing. Sorry but i keep checking the tyres in the replay. You can see i skooch away on exit.

It also displays a point I made yesterday about silly errors, I make 2 here that cost me a legitimate chance at a win, no guarantee I would have but without those two dumb errors i'd have really been on that yellow vette.

If you've driven the car, your judgement is welcome...😁

I've found the M3 to be surprisingly good. Instant throttle response, no turbo=no lag, solid torque and a VERY manageable chassis. The thing's a blast to drive!

I've found myself leaning into enjoying the game versus competing in it so have been getting a bit liberal with my driving style. Bake a corner, get it sideways and stick it out with a drift...may cost time but you can't buy those kinds of thrills. As someone else mentioned, chasing DR is an empty pursuit for me and sucks the fun out of it a bit. Tough to rage-quit when you're having fun, too.
That's exactly how I try to play the game..try to drive as fair as possible(if I bump into someone its not because of dirty driving, but because of lack of skill😅 ) and have as much fun as possible...

Driving the cars I like is part of the fun for me(for instance I don't really like driving the Mc Laren F1 that much...it sounds really odd and is far to unstable for my driving)...

The BMW M3 was good at Race C, but then I tried out the Mustang...and that was a killer...I could outbrake the McLarens and Corvettes without any problems at the turns, it is stable as a rock and it's not slow on the straits either...great car!

I tried the Mustang out in Race B as well...and it did compete really well against the FFs...
Didn't like RaceB at first, because i was thinking it would be all Peugeots and Sciroccos an no chance for other cars, but yesterday i did 4 races and the there were so many different cars at start...I had on race with two Peugeots, and all other 14 cars were differnt, not two cars alike-that was great...

My last Q Runs before a Race Start.....

1.41,08 optimal Time with Medium Tires.

Next Days i will try to optimize Soft Tire Time, i hope for an 1.39,xxx

3 from 4 Races Today was ok for me, Start with Medium and that Pace whats possible for me, works good.

Only "slow"Trafic in front of me slowes me down.

Are you still in A SR,or back to S?

I went up to S after racing with you, but then next race get few back bumps and somehow my SR was nuked from 93 to 69 in a single race.was a real shock to me.

I’m back in S and my DR was never higher!!! A glorious 24k :gtpflag:

After "our" Race i'll join a very "ugly" Race, i'll drop to B 😞

I reset last night, back in B/S again already. It's actually pretty clean today (so far, schools aren't out yet). Some really nice racing with lots of switch backs and side by side action. None of that nasty blocking, just good racing.

What works best against dirty driving is meeting the same people over and over. (not for the worst kinds mind) I started in D/E today and encountered 3 punt grind happy drivers again from earlier in the week. Now all three together in the race, it was 'interesting' 🤣 Total GTA wreckfest ensued. Yet then we saw each other again next race and by the third time the hatchet was buried and we all agreed to race clean instead of play whack-a-mole. And voila, no more issues apart from a bit of clumsiness and lag here and there. Clean close racing, sharing corners. Hence back at 99 SR again :grumpy:

And yep here we go again. One driver in a McLaren felt the need to defend, block, counter attack hard in lap 3 and 4. I pass him in the corner, he drafts back up with mc speed and tries to out brake me, basically a dive bomb, so I have to avoid him and repeat. That cost me 2.5 sec on my lap times, twice, 5 sec lost. That wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for finishing 1.4 sec behind first, couldn't catch him thanks to the delay. Mr got to defend till I drop (he went wide in the final turn lap 4, I passed, he pitted...) didn't fare so well, finished all the way at the back. I guess others weren't so patient with his blocking.

Got to lose SR to find faster racers

Ran the Vantage in a race this morning and won. I love the car and it was good to me last time this combo came up. It's about 6 seconds slower for me than the McLaren across a race though.

The GT just does not work for me in this combo. I don't know exactly what it is. It feels fine when I'm driving it, doesn't slide or squirm much and just on perception I'd assume it's competitive but when the lap time comes up its about a second slower than the McLaren.

Only time for one race tonight as I had to play taxi for a family member which resulted in a flat tire due to the gigantic potholes I couldn't see thanks to driving in the dark and the rain. Yay...

Anyway, I tried the Vantage as you all seemed to have some success with it, but I couldn't find any more time with the car. But, I did manage to get my time down to 1:40.619. Which moved me up the grid a few spots as compared to my old time.

I start the race in P4 but someone drops out and I move up to P3. On lap one I get passed on the inside, but I left the door wide open so my fault for doing so. At the tight left-hander after the "back stretch" I get into the back car that passed me and sent them into P2. My bad to P2. I manage to take the lead at the final corner after another accidental touch to the back of the car in front of me and never give it up until my pit stop. Everyone behind me switched to the Medium tires at the same time at the end of lap 6 when I did, and I just needed to keep it clean to win. It helped that had a constant 2 second lead after I took over P1. Last lap my lead climbed to 5 seconds and I eased it around the final set of corners to take home the win! AWESOME!

Kind of a dirty win with my accidental punts, but I'll take it. I didn't do anymore racing as I couldn't beat that performance and I needed to play taxi/killing my poor left front tire as mentioned above. That will actually be the last race of the week for me. With myself seeing what needs to be done to get my tire replaced, attending a sporting event Friday evening, and Horizon Forbidden West coming out, my weekend is booked.
