I done three races C and I'm done with that. Got punted in all of them. Also, I struggled to make the first corner, losing to everyone in the room. I don't know, but I find very hard to turn these cars on slow corners like T1 and the Bus Stop at Spa. The result of these three races was me going back to high B ranking and losing some SR as well.

After that, I did two races B and I won both races. At least I got a happy ending to my night.

Tried another race B, this time in the Evo. Got I a lobby where the Q lap times were all low 1:01 to mid 1:01, with a couple at the back with a 1:04 and 1:07. Thought I would get dominated, starting P7 with the Evo when I couldn't get a lap time under 1:02 in the three practice laps I had before the race. Went out and stuffed up the first corner and was in P11 at T2 on lap 1. Managed to fight back to P8 in the end, but was quietly surprised by the lap times, even dropping down to a 1:01:9XX at one point. Evo is worth a try if you want a break from the WRX.

Just had a look at GTBlade. My Q time is top 25% of B rank, yet I was consistently placed Q7-10... 🤦🤷‍♂️

On another note, what's likely to be META for the Willow Springs race next week?

Don’t think I’ve ever seen Gr3 at Big Willow. It’s definitely a power track with mostly high speed turns. Maybe the RSR or the R8? Corvette or DBR9 for FR fans? Ford GT might be solid as well.

We've had Gr3 at Big Willow at least once before. But that was a couple of BoP adjustments ago. Last time it was the Pug VGT spaceship, fast but fickle. As always though, keeping your car on track is always the real OP strat.

I feel like the Supra might be a car to look out to.

I did some time trials and I seem to produce at least 1:11s on that track with the Supra while the Vette meanwhile the best I can get is a low 1:12s.

It's been a while. My videos go back to Feb. 2020 as the last time the combo came up. Might have been the last time Big Willow came up at all.

Pug was the qualifier in Feb. 2020, but hell to drive in race. Ford GT & Corvette were also good in race.

Never driven that car. Tempted to try and run lots of different ones as I really enjoy Big Willow.

Supra is a good shout if you can keep it on track. For me the lack of stability is likely to cause problems, particularly over the hill. I will be sure to pack a bucket and spade if I drive it.

My car and beverage choice for this week. Car may change. :)

If you are worried about stability then avoid the pug. It likes to bite back. It is definitely fast there, or was, but it was very easy to lose it over a couple of the cresting turns as it was very twitchy. I despise the Supra, but still found it more stable than the Peugeot.

Gr.2 is up and running.

Edit: Must use both compounds. RM/RS.

Sticking with all three NSXs this week. Trying the '08 NSx first.

Edit2:

Both a really good. Thought I'd be in strife, but handled extremely well in my hands. Ran 8RM/6RS in the '08 NSX. 7RM/7RS in the '16 NSX.
Both A/A+ rooms. Full grids. No qualy. A couple fast players. More players my speed. Got gifted two spots on the last lap, in the second race, as two GT-Rs were ghosting before the uphill PZ. For the most part, fair racing. Early days though.

I'll no qualy at Big W, to see how players are racing.

Edit3:
Just sat back in the cut and watched. A C7 tried to go up the inside of a car ahead, two-wide into the final corner. Like, come on, son. Wait for the straight.
Someone in a Beetle was being a bit silly. Dredge got by and I followed. Next, the Beetle goes flying off behind me. Followed Dredge for a couple laps for a gtp finish.

Done 5 races at Big Willow. Good fun in the Group 3 cars. I ran the Ford GT in my first slot, led from pole position to the chequered flag 8 seconds ahead of P2. My 100th sport mode win (but in a drop split where I was the highest rated driver by far).

Race 2 in the C7. Ran nice and smooth but lacks speed on this track. Then ran the RSR. Really good speed through both of the long right handers.

Tried the Pug VGT for both of the next 2 races. That thing is lightning around this track. It is a bit unstable through turn 4 at the top of the hill but once you work that out it flies.

The go-to cars in my grids are clearly the Supra and the RS01. I think I’ll leave them until last.

Shout out to @05XR8 who could have had me several times in his NSX in race 3 but sat back and let me feel good about myself.

Really want to try RAce A. It's my favorite weather condition and layout at Maggiore. Guess I'll jump in the Redheaded step-... er, Renault.

Booo👎 Thought it was the overcast condition. Oh well.

I did 4-5 sessions of Daily Race B (one of them included @D_Dragline) and while I managed to land at least one win, it wasn't enough dispel my anger because I really wanted to win in a McLaren F1 GTR and in those 2 sessions, I was that close to winning a race with the F1 but then some players who are in second always tap me in the last corner and it destroyed my chances at winning a race with the F1 GTR.

At that point was where I really just converted my anger by settling in using the GR Supra for the whole week and just win races until my anger is gone. Will also be using my main account for the whole week in doing Daily Race B also but I need to beat my quali time that my alt account produced which is a 1:10.9.

Here's my run for Race B. Nothing much happened and at around the end of lap 2 was where the race was settled because the top 5 behind me oofed up turn 9 and it allowed me to gain a huge gap that I continued to expand until the end of the race.

Tried a Race B this morning. Started/finished 12th. Decent race.

Decided on the DB9, a bit slower but wanted to be near the back. Not confident in my connection. But it looks OK now. Fingers crossed.

Race wasn't dirty but I got bumped off deservedly. 4th lap I had to blow by a ghosted car really close or risk going off track, must have scared the crap out of the driver. Final lap that driver was behind me waiting patiently and when a car in front looked like they were about to go off track, that driver pushed me aside, 2 wheels in to the dirt, just enough that I had to lift and they went past a bunch of cars while I...well it all even out in the end. Have to admit, nice move.

Ok I hit race C before the change this weekend, (in the 787B) Q15 and finished P9 but I was hit with a massive SR point drop, went from S95 to B56. I saw the red B in the standings and I can account for being squished and battered in the first chicane everything else was clean, but now that penalty system is gone caca, and I don't see the little green up arrows, how do I get my SR points back up, had 2 clean races this morning, legit clean with the star, and my points are still same?

I agree about Race A. The track is great. Did get a final shove, by a too eager player, on the final turn, after I was racing to stay out of trouble. Surprised I wasn't the only Megane.

About that first race, the penalty system is at it again got reset quick. Seems you get the penalty points if you get punted or sideswiped into the walls or off the track. Got reset from A today. Just thought I would warn my fellow racers.

Well, I guess the SR system is active again because I got a DR reset after getting murdered about 57 times and revenge-punting only a couple of them. It wasn’t even that bad. I got completely obliterated several times in the same race and when I caught back up all I did was take the inside line and push the punters wide a bit. Race C was pretty brutal but I did have some great races and even got a couple no-qualy wins in top split. After several good races I told myself I’d run “one more.” Should have just called it a night. Now I’m down to 40k DR. I haven’t been racing much at all since the end of the last FIA season, maybe one or two days a month. but it looks like I’ll need to do a little grinding to get back to A+.
Race C at Monza was responsible for my DR reset last year too, and that was after maybe 5 collisions... That was the Red Bull Jr. race at the no-chicane version. Good luck rebounding!

Had time for one race C. Started p9 with my 1:10.4 qualy, so quite fast lobby I think. Made small mistake and dropped to p13. Finished on p8 so quite happy for first race.
will race more for sure, good race 👍👍
