I'm only trying Race C this week if it's compatible with my SatNav 😂

I'll look out for you. I also use BarneyDaDog occasionally in an effort to maybe get an A rating.

Barney_Da_Dog hovers around mid-B but occasionally plunges to low C if the tracks don't suit me and the motion control.
Would you and @MidnightRun85 mind if I add you as friends. If its OK I'll use your B ranked I'd as I'm currently hovering around 17k. One of the benefits of adding you guys from here is I get a benchmark for my lap times

Yeah of course, go for gold! 🤘😎🤘 Its always nice to have some comparative times to race against.

Dropped my time down to 3:07 in Race C. Using the RX-V. No torque, but gives me a better top speed on the back straight. Much better rear rotation.

Previous race, was in the M6 Power. Super stable. Had to keep slowing for a non-gtp member friendly. Allowed cars behind to catch and get runs on me. Disappointing, as I dropped from 5th to 12th. It’s like those Super Touring BTCC moments, when a train of cars just keep passing a car.

Most fun watching the awesome replay camera positions.

In this spirit, if there is anyone in the Asia region who regularly competes in race A feel free to send me a friend request. I could use a few more times to race against.

It's such a pain that you can't compare times with friends in other regions.

The only psn friend I have who (sometimes) plays is @Pigems and there is absolutely no comparison. I just hope that GTBlade registers my time and check it out there.

Here's me doing the wrong thing. Don't do this.
The dude in first was a clean guy, and I was ready to pounce on any mistake at the final turn.
He did okay, but it wasn't ideal, and I was not planning to dive on him. The dude in 3rd gave me a bump forward, and I went with it.
I ended up shoving the poor leader out of the way, and won the race. I felt like a big jerk. It's not how I want to race.

I apologized after the race, and he said if I was sorry, I would have let him go past me on the final straight.
He's 100% right.
I sent him a message with a big apology. He didn't respond. :guilty:

Don’t worry man, you’ll see him again. That happened to me one time, and a couple races later we got to race again and I backed off at the end and made sure he won that one. :)

Not that bad. If I was on the receiving end of that I would just consider it a bad bounce. I wouldn't expect the spot back. Would be nice though. Don't see enough of it.

Had three terrible races at DTG and bled DR like a seive. Lost nearly 2.5k in three races!

First round I tried the Alfa 4C after a couple of very sketchy practice laps and finished 13th.

Then tried the NSX, knocked 1.5s off my previous Q time and ended up 14th.

Jumped into the Megane and knocked another 1.2s off my Q time, and finished 15th..... 🤦🤷‍♂️

Jumped into the WRX to set some decent Q times, took a chunk of time off my previous but not enough for me to try again.

Over onto the alt for a few Race A. Great racing there. Only had three races but thoroughly enjoyed all three. 6th, 4th, and 4th. 🤘😎🤘

What?! Your transits have a 3.5 twin turbo engine?
Ours are 2 litres with maybe a small turbo for aesthetics.

Whaaaaa??? And we’re talking about the full-size transits right? Not the transit connect? I haven’t gone from a dead-stop-quick-hit yet…. But I know this van will pull any of my buddies’ alpha-male diesel trucks. It would probably pull a lot of imports too. The mpg is getting better as the motor breaks in. As long as I keep it at 70 mph on the highway, I’m at 16.3 mpg right now. Not bad for a rig that’s close to 10’ tall.

On another note, I still haven’t logged into GTS this week yet. Hopefully tonight. I moto’d again today. Finally getting most my speed back. My fitness isn’t half bad either which I’m quite pleased with. However, I feel myself tightening up already, so I’m still out of riding shape. This 25 year anniversary stone IPA 12.5% should help…

But what I’m really worried about for this 24hour race in 6 weeks is my hands!! I’ve literally lost all of my callouses. Not good!! I need to try to get my hands roughed back up soon so they don’t turn to beef jerky in 2 hours!

EMEA Today…

I give you a quarter of a moron point for passing on the straight after you punted the guy in #41. I get that the dude braked early and this straight lasts the average length of a Race A but you gotta demonstrate a bit of "my bad." 🤷‍♂️

I had a quandary like this in the RSR last night. A GTR punted me on the final turn and i cannoned into the Supra in front. The outcome was that the Supra swiped the wall and lost momentum whilst I held it on the black stuff and the GTR remained on my rear bumper. Normally I would try and give the Supra the place back, but I didn't want to reward the GTR for a heinous punt.

In the end I held my position (P9), the GTR was P10 and the Supra P11. I felt bad about the Supra but really didn't think there was anything else I could reasonably do. Thanksully he seemed to be understanding when I apologised in the post-race chat.

I like to think most drivers understand that the bad guy in those situations is not necessarily the one who gains a place.

Ok, so this time of night is a no go. I checked my DR today. I was 500 points from A. And the next two races were possibly the two dirtiest races I've ever been in. Absolute garbage people. I checked again and I lost 2000 DR in those two races. Total trash drivers. Knocking people off track for no other reason than because they can.

They probably didn't like the idea of being beat fairly by a B rated player.

I did. I was lifting off but my dude decided to be a you know what and acted childish.

I was late on the brake and hit him but didn’t lose him too much time. I was slowing a bit. He got in front of me and brake checked me.

Tried 2 Race Cs today. Started 10th in both. Both good races.

First one finished 12th. Felt OK.

Second race, saw Trone. Played it cool, didn't say hi. We ended up at the back keep each other company anyways.

My laps are getting better. But I still suck racing, specifically not losing positions.

What car are you racing? I stayed underground by sticking with the Jaguar. I've seen some people pull some slick maneuvers with the Renault and the Porsche but I like being different; what can I say?

Lexus.

I'm getting beat up by Nissans.
I haven't seen a single Lexus all week and I've done a ton of races. More power to you for keeping it weird. I say try some other cars. The Jaguar is stable enough (I use BB +1) and while not near as fast as the Nissan, it keeps up. I've seen a few Mazdas, too, but the sound...oh god, the sound.

Edit - I've also seen some Ford GTs go fast, as well as Ferrari and Corvette.

Man that one dude punted both of us at the bridge but I got the worst of it. I had to crawl my way back. When I got to him, I spun him. That guy you saw spinning as you went pass, that was me serving papers to him lol.

Also you should try Corvette or Aston.

0 BB for the Vette and +2 for the Aston.

Race C is amazing for the "train of cars going by" this week. My last race last night, I was in p6 and I made a mistake at the tightening right hander and had to slow down too much to get around. As I had run wide, the cars behind got a run on me and I stayed left to let them go. By the time we reached the following left I was in p10 with p11-14 lined up on my outside . This was at the end of Lap 4! The fields I'm in are so evenly matched for so long that you can easily drop 10 spots if you get a corner wrong or are the victim of unintentional contact.

It's great for the racing, it's not so good for the stress levels!

I like to think most drivers understand that the bad guy in those situations is not necessarily the one who gains a place.
Yet, in this instance, the bad guy got a reward of one place after all. You just sometimes want to be there when they get what they deserve.

And this is why I'm not lamenting my PS+ membership expiring. I can't enjoy the game if I am trying to be clean, yet get punished for being a victim while at the same time being punished for giving back what I get. At least when I play Wreckfest, I expect to be pushed off track.

I went down to a 3.04 qual in race C and race the A/S guys and they slaughter me in the race. I am using the Jaguar. At the beginning of the race all is fine but as of lap 2 i feel like using a group 4 car speed wise and the nissans etc are just outpacing me. I guess i have to admit that i am simply to slow for the A/S racers.

We have the connect, transit and a slightly larger transit. None of them will have an engine over 2 litres. I've driven all of them and never felt I needed more power. They pull very well.
That beer looks awesome. I hope you enjoyed.

Are diesel or gasoline/petrol engines?

If you can run a 3:04 qualy you’re not “too slow”. That is seriously rapid. What I’ve noticed is that I tend to tense up in race and brake too much. Particularly once I feel like someone is starting to make ground on me.

I’ve had a couple of good results today after constantly telling myself to brake less and trust the car. The GTRs are strong in race trim, partly because of where their strengths shine, but they’re also vulnerable in a few places if you drive smart.
