"impreza_wrx_sti6_99" refers to Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version VI '99, which is the sedan variant, at the time the primary variant of the Impreza.
This is what you're referring to:

If it does land itself in GT7, it will be converted into a premium car with a full interior.

Files found from datamining do not necessarily mean they'll all be added to the game.

A good proof of that is the datamine @TheAdmiester did of Forza Horizon 4 early-ish in that game's life, which I've put below. Highlighted in bold are the vehicles that have appeared in either FH4 or FH5 since then.

That's barely half of it, over a period of nearly 4 years, from a developer that likes to throw cars at our faces. Don't get your hopes up, folks.
And don't forget the ones that never made it - Horizon 1 mentioned the Fabia VRS and Fisker Karma over a decade ago, and Horizon 3 had an entirely playable SLR that still never showed up despite being the furthest along of any leaked cars. Add that to Famine's post earlier about the 996 GT3 (and if I remember right, a text string of the EB110?) being in GT3 but never materialising and it's clear that any purported leaks from a game shouldn't always be taken at face value.

It's why when I post Forza stuff I usually say to even take my own posts with a grain of salt.

Don't get me wrong I also want a 993 Turbo but I love 964 turbos a bunch so this troubles me not
It wouldn't be overly hard for PD to add the 993 Turbo.
There are various versions of the 993 in the game.
Just do any body updates for things like bumpers or what ever is specific to the 993 Turbo.
Make the car a RR-AWD, update its engine stats and weight.
Less work compared to doing a car from scratch.

The car's wider, wheels are different, interior's different too. There's still work involved.

Here is my interpretation of the list, a few of them are just guesses due to the text string being vague:

The only one that stumped me was "eagle_type122_09" so I left it out. I know Eagle was a Chrylser marque and has featured in GT before (The Eagle Talon, which is a badge engineered Mitsubishi Eclipse). There is also the AAR Eagle Indy Car which won the Pebble Beach award. The "09" at the end of the string is throwing me off.

UPDATE: As explained below, it's the code name for the Lotus Evora '09. I've updated the list to add it back in.

That was already covered, it's the Lotus Evora '09.

The car's internal name, "eagle_type122_09", refers to the codename of the car initially reported by the motoring press, while the "type122" refers to Lotus' internal numbering for the car.

Did you try looking at the Eagle E-type? They basically make modern interpretations of the Jaguar E type, my bet's on something from them.

I'm not surprised by the lack of Bentley, considering Bentleys are boats, but I'm definitely surprised by the lack of McLaren. I'm actually wondering whether it's a licensing issue, because it's a bit unusual.

Few leaked cars didn't make it to Forza. I know the 917K was leaked for FH3 but has yet to appear in any Forza game. The SLR was victim of licensing disagreement between McLaren and Mercedes (which is why I think PD's license to the car must be quite old).

But that's, like, 2 cars. The vast majority of Forza's leaks have appeared in the then current game or the subsequent ones. Both Turn 10 and Playground have been known to test future content in the games they had out at the time. FM7 was a large testbed for FH4 content.

I believe MP4_4 88 is the Senna McLaren-Honda. Although this could be an internal name and it comes under the Formula Gran Turismo banner.

There is Lotus Evora GT300 car maybe it is it. I hope the list is real but not complete. It is very very good but it lacks certain cars.

I went with Gr.3/Gr.4 because the text string matches the other fantasy Gr. cars, they end in gt3m_xx. I would prefer the GT300 as well, an Evora GT4 Concept exists too.

The list is most likely real but that doesn't mean these cars will be in GT7. Some might, some might not, some might not appear until GT9 on the PS6! And I bet PD are modeling cars that aren't on the list as well.

On gtsport scapes, i made these liveries and kept posting them a few years back...

This is brilliant! 😁

Those 3dr Touring Cars were absolute monsters. IIRC they pushed them to 600+BHP for qualifying laps. When you consider how long ago this was, it was one hell of an achievement with just 2 litres.

Obviously then came the Sapphire Cosworths and the Escort. Iconic cars, no two ways about it.

Now I’m not sure if ‘RS500’ in the datamine might refer to the Touring Car or the road car, but either would be fine by me. And if I’m being greedy, also the Saph, Escos (and a few RS Turbo Fiestas and Escorts while we’re at it) would make a lot of people happy 😏

And I bet PD are modeling cars that aren't on the list as well.
I do think this way considering the Suzuki VGT Gr.3 plan and whatever the mystery car for the Toyota GR GT Cup finals is, if they do have one - as neither are listed.

I highly doubt there'll be a MP4-4 coming to GT7... entirety of this list seems made up and just because the GR010 was included means nothing,

The twitter source said "I was just told on the fly in a friend's Discord server." so I mean if you want to believe this list then wow ok... It's a wish list that may have one or two cars correct, it's not a datamine

The thing that makes it believable and not fake is the fact that pretty much every car is consistent with the choices PD have made lately. There are some classics PD haven’t done before that are very comparable to the classics that first appeared in GT Sport, so like a continuation of sorts. Then we have the former standard and premium cars which also seem to be consistent with the choices PD have made for those up until now. Yet some obvious favourites are missing, adding further credibility because there will always be sacrifices. Finally, in true PD fashion there’s a striking absence of “new” aside from a few standouts in recent years.

So overall I feel the list would look a lot more like a generic wishlist if it was faked - unless of course it was faked by a calculated psycho.

I find it odd that PD is focusing on the 2005 M5 versus the 2008 model they added in GT5. You would think that would be the focus. Then again, it's probably not too hard to make changes to their 2008 model to make a premium 2005.

There's the 2 2004 Impreza wrx stis aswell. My guess is one of them either being a typo or maybe they have the spec c version.

Lastly, there's the 1963 Corvette Coupe mentioned. I guess they could mean the z06 race car, but you would think the script would say otherwise.

A 1973 model of the BMW 2002 Turbo has been in the Franchise before:

That car appears in Gran Turismo 6 as a standard car. I bet once the 2002 Turbo comes to Gran Turismo 7, it will have anew premium model & a full interior.

Why? The MP4/4 came to Forza Motorsport, no reason why it can't make it to Gran Turismo. They already hold the McLaren license so, wouldn't be too difficult to imagine.

Any sort of licensing limitation I genuinely think is because of something weird going on inside PD. There's no reason they cannot have a roster of more modern cars, or brands such as Lotus or Koenigsegg when even games such as Driveclub do.

I cannot see Lotus demanding such an exorbitant amount that PD (and Sony by extension) go "whoa no way" when they make it into Forza just fine - the same goes for cars we don't see such as Bentley etc.

It feels more like licensing laziness than licensing problems.
