@UltimateLurker. By not using the oil change or high RPM turbo was a fuel saving decision. The car also has plenty of power without those additions for this event.
forgot about that in my moment of angerThe race was over for them...
I think they attempt to simulate cold tires/tarmac. I mean, that would actually make some sense. But the implementation is questionable since there is no in-race temp gauge and the tires temps are always "warmed" when fresh...............Happened to me while using a Merc C9, although it was after the first pit stop. The car got wobbly for a lap, but then in the next lap, things returned to normal. Haven't encountered it with any other cars, yet. Must be another random occurrence...
Has anyone managed to win this in the Jag?
What tires did you do it on? I'm gonna be attempt it later on with that exact same car.
Guessing the KERS runs out pretty quickly?Just gave the TS030 (615 PP) a go and ended up 13th. Without power upgrades, I doubt it's possible to win the event. Can only hit 177 MPH on the main part of the track. That's with final gear at 2.060. Ran 15 minutes before pitting for fuel. Tires were still at 6 on all 4 corners. At 529 HP, the other cars just kick your butt.
Wait a sec. How on earth did you manage to get penalised for speeding in pits?? It's autopilot right? This was ridiculous.
After a few laps to play with brake balance, I restarted and won my first complete attempt. But I shouldn't have!
I used RS tires, so two pits were necessary. However, I misjudged the fuel I needed and had to take a THIRD PIT two laps before the finish.
When I pitted, I was six seconds in the lead (despite a spinout, collision penalty, and penalty for speeding in pits). When I returned to the track, I was 26 seconds behind the new leader, and in 6th place.
I won by nearly 10 seconds! It's like they stopped competing.
17 laps w/ a Sauber Mercedes C9. RM's all throughout the race, 3 PITS. Not a hard race (once you realize how you should pit. I found 6 full laps with RM's just perfect). Was winning by about 37-40 seconds on the Pescarolo but at one of the last intersections i kind of spined out because my tyres were bald already. Other than that, it went rather smoothly.
Yes I agree it's all about your pit strategy cause I redid this event in a newly bought V12 LMR using Priano's tune on RH's and I won... My pit strategy was end of 5th lap, and end of 11th lap... And it got me through the race so yes pit strategy is crucial in this seasonal event.
This event was total frustration for me with my favorite Sauber, started like 15 times but only finished one in fifth place. But the 905 did the job for me on the second attemptJust happened to me with the Peugeot 905 on RH: ran out of gas as I was leading in the last lap. So I decided to change strategy, pitted twice with RS and everybody was left one lap behind (the last one even two laps). Might try to drive slower on RH in order to pit only once if I feel like playing this seasonal again. Not sure though as I don't like this track too much...
PS Thanks to Praiano for the 905's tune
I don't know, but the 905 that i bought for this race has ~520Hp in the dealership, and now mine has 860HP (only changed oil, still 200+ hp more than it should). I wonder why give wrong stats in dealership.....Why is it that all the LMP cars gain ~100HP when doing an oil change right out of the dealership while every other car in the game gets maybe 30?

2. Has anyone else had big blocks of the track just disappear while you were driving? I was looking down into space, and it was damn cool honestly, like I was back in Skate Heaven from Tony Hawk Pro Skater II!!!!
How much fuel did you take on lap 11. Thank you!!!Yes I agree it's all about your pit strategy cause I redid this event in a newly bought V12 LMR using Priano's tune on RH's and I won... No, standard + oil change,Well done. I started using the Pescarolo, which I prefer, but completely messed with it. The 905 is quite reliable on this event, I think.
Did you install power parts?
The speed limit for entering the pit lane (before autopilot) is 50 mph. I was probably going 150. My penalty was at least 10 seconds.Wait a sec. How on earth did you manage to get penalised for speeding in pits?? It's autopilot right?
