*Waves hands* Not to be persistent, but I still don't see my name on the member list too, but, do I have to physically show up in one of the lobbies for my name to be on the list? I know I haven't been ever since you accepted me, due to conflicting time schedules. But I was just wondering, it's no biggie if you're really busy, just wanted to remind you.👍
 
There was maintenance? I signed in just fine and have been playing Grand Theft Auto just fine, but then again I always play solo so maybe multiplayer wasn't available. How long's this maintenance supposed to last?

If you haven't signed on for 2 days, then are unable to sign on right now. If you signed on within 2 days, you probably don't even know about the maintenance and you won't be affected.

It lasted me 5 minutes or so with high speed internet

The earliest I could show up atleast is like, 4 to 5PM EST. If I could, any later than that, then work drags me off to do evening shift. But, I have Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays off, so I could be online all day, but then most of people would be either at school or at work. I can't show up on the weekend because I have to work all day. So, far as I can see, I can only show up on those days, or during the holidays, unless you guys are spending time with family.

Suddenly, an idea pops into my head. Anyone remember the Level 2 cop cars in Need for Speed Most Wanted and Carbon? They were Pontiac GTOs or the Australian equivalent to it. Black GTOs could be a new patrol car/fleet vehicle. Although they can be difficult to obtain since they only appear in the UCD.

EDIT: Holy disappointment! This thing doesn't go past 205 MPH with 812 horsepower! WHAT?!?!?!

I have a stock 1998 Taurus from the UCD, has relatively low miles, but I was planning on cruising with it :(

What will you offer for it, though?
 
I've also got a Taurus in my used car dealer. You'll just have to remind me to send it or else I'll forget. 💡
 
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this yet but the Toyota Aristo and Lexus GS300 make excellent police cars. Incognito styling that blends in with traffic but ballistic performance upwards of 650 horsepower have made my GS300 my undercover police car of choice. Long gears mean that I can keep my racing exhaust's roar subdued, but as soon as I need to pursue someone I can kick it down a couple gears so the baddie can get an earful of what they're about to encounter. :dopey:

You see undercover cops Isint going to help much because the point is to stop the vehicle not just taking him by surprise and if you want to get someone chances are there already speeding and you just want to get them. Also yes the 650 bhp helps but not a lot because of the car being 4 door the handling is impacted but not a lot also it adds weight to the car which slows it down.
 
I'm real excited about the Taurus police car. I can't wait! I suppose if you're making a replica of the current (2013MY-) Police Interceptor, you'll want to go for the 3.7 V6 model with front wheel drive, as replicating the 365HP EcoBoost AWD model could be challenging with an FF Taurus...

Now, onto the second part of this post (and this is big!). While digging through this thread for updates, someone mentioned the Pontiac GTO and its role as a State Police Cruiser in NFS: Most Wanted. I was inspired to list down some of the police cars in certain NFS games, as well as their stock performance and fully tuned performance (data gathered from mygranturismo.net) to help you guys to make decisions about your next cop car. Be warned, there are supercars here (what do you expect?) so unless you are sure cops are exempt from the supercars rule, you might want to steer clear of those cars you are certain are supercars.

There are games I missed out. I started from Most Wanted (2005) as that I feel was the beginning of the NFS pursuit system. ProStreet and the Shift series were track racing games that did not feature police. Hot Pursuit (2010) is a game with lots of police cars. Maybe the police cars in that game are for another post. There are a lot of police cars in earlier games. I may add them in a later post.
*The State Muscle Cruiser in Undercover and World is a fictional car that is based on a mixture of pony cars. In my opinion, it most looks like a Challenger.
**Performance figures are for the '05 Mustang (Standard), may differ for the '07 Mustang V8 GT Coupe (Premium)
***Federal Police Car in The Run is a Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni. For the most accurate result, restrict horsepower by 10HP and set power distribution to 10/90.

Thank god my semester exams are finally done :D Now I can work on some cruising cars instead of studying :yuck:
