I can come if someone accepts my FR to the lounge.

Gimme 5 or so to reboot..apparently I shut down improperly last time. We did some housecleaning last week and deleted a bunch of guys that FR'd and never showed and some that raced once or twice and never came back..sorry..:)

Not sure if anyone is struggling with the Rally Cars or not but I just wanted to post this as a reminder:

These three cars I used to set the target time, all spec, except as mentioned below. Any one of them or I suspect most of the rally cars, would be great for Autumn Ring in Spec version, even without the ride height drop.

Toyota Celica GT-Four Rally Car (ST205) 95’, Premium, Spec*, 454PP
Subaru Impreza WRC 08’, Premium, Spec*, 457PP
Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac Rally Car, Standard, Spec*, 455PP

Front Straight Top Speed - 172 km/h (107 mph) - 174 km/h (108 mph)
Max Speed - 178 km/h (111 mph)

Take note Gentlemen. All three qualifying cars were completely stock except for ride height which were all set at -30/-30. The Subaru was the best handling of the three with the Mitsubishi close behind and the Toyota was a little understeery, easily correctable with a couple of points of front downforce.

An easy way to shave time, if you are hitting the top speed target but are over the time target, is to add downforce. I added +5/+5 to the Subaru and shaved 7/10ths of a second easily.

Credit for this idea goes to Cote Dazur:tup:

Ford, Suzuki and Citroen, also have WRC rally car in Premium.

cotedazur06/Citroen C4 WRC '08/Premium/445PP/Stock/SH/ABS Off/172 KMH

I tried half a dozen cars yesterday in "Spec*" form. I'd say if one is looking for consistency w/o spending time tuning - newer WRC cars are the way to go.

Or go to SH tires and remove DF. That way the tow you create on the straight will be weaker and you'll be harder to overtake. Higher DF will mess up people following you more in corners, though. So it's a tough call ;)

I've got some terrible news:

After this last update, GT5 has stopped playing nicely with my connection. Today I joined a GTP hosted room, with racers I've previously raced with without even so much as a tiny bit of noticeable lag. I got DC'd 4 times, then during the race, I had Orido-like symptoms of cars flying everywhere. I also keep getting signed out of PSN randomly. I hope this is just a fluke. I'll update & reset my router tonight and see if it does anything to fix the problem. But right now it seems that 2.11 is the cause, as all of my other devices are working fine, and my connection speed is as good as normal.

Gonna jump into the lounge to settle on the car for monday.
Done

Specs for Monday:

dsgerbc / Subaru Impreza Rally Car '99 / Standard / 450 PP / Spec / CS Tires / ABS - 0 / 108 MPH (173 km/h)

Welcome cobrius,

Someone will make sure that your FR gets accepted prior to race time today. 👍

Welcome to the DNE lounge Cobrius, let us know if you any question or concern.
Go the lounge any time you want, it takes a little practice to get to a consistent pace and beeing able to practice online with others can help.
You are good to go.

Thank you very much. 👍

Tried to join in again, kept getting Dc'd :ouch: 3 times already ...

All of them while having the black screen - loading the track ( with the long bar filling up )

Is this what Ferrari had a while ago ?

Puff, I am restarting GT5 :grumpy:

I am in after restart :) funny ... and Dc'd again after a few moments :( arrrghh ... back again and stabilize, quirky little bugger...

Saturday submission:

iainoflo85/RUF 3400S '00/Standard/420PP/Tuned/CS/ABS/106mph

This is after the latest PP reverting update and also from dropping 4 PP.

My entry would be the Viper GTS or Civic EK Type R, not sure yet, will edit this post later on :)

Ridox2JZGTE/Dodge Viper GTS '02/Premium/420PP/Tuned/CS/NO ABS/102mph

Not racing as I was lagging in the room...the Viper was a real joy to drive, 225HP, 1769kg, stock everything except suspension, excellent balance, feels like GT86, only fatter  The stock real life wheel alignment works like a charm on the car, also running stock springs.

I'm switching my connection to a secondary channel while I fix my main one. I'm updating and resetting my modem very quickly, because I've been DC'd twice.

Haha that's some real extremes you got to chose between. I'd chose the Civic, i like the sleepers. :)
