Thanks for the great clean racing. I've had a hard time finding clean races lately but this time maybe it was I who was a bit aggressive in some situations.

I choose the Integra with consistency in mind, didn't really think through this and man how slow it was on acceleration.

I'm not sure but I think I only had one lap under 1.35 and it was the last lap of race 3.

Looking forward to next time (if there is any Eurofriendly race).

Thanks for coming out Cobrius, always nice to see a new face. Most guys avoid FF's just because of the slow start. Positions are hard to come by at most tracks so to give up two at every start makes it tough. But if it's what you enjoy then by all means stick to some FF's. We'll probably have an FF only race pretty soon too.

When it comes to clean racing we do our best to follow the [post=3176790]GTP Online Racing Rules[/post]. We expect everyone to have read and be familiar with it and to follow it while racing. If you have any questions about it just post them here and we'll answer them for you. We've elaborated on them a bit with these two posts:

[post=8134965]Leaving a Gap & When Not to Pass[/post]

flesxruoyxllik/Citrion C4 WRC 08/Premium/451PP/Tuned/sports hard Tires/ABS off/108mph

Added no parts just adjusted what was there.

I won't be around for this one and maybe not the next one, but I can gurantee I'll be available in about 2 weeks (school/friends getting in the way) and I can finally begin participating. :cheers:

Will there be some possibility of pre Monday Rally car racing this morning?

Maybe early this afternoon, not this morning though.

Feedback Needed

I have some time tonight and I'm going to be in the Lounge for a while setting up future targets. If you want the room for setting up for tomorrow's race, I'll head off to my Lounge, no problem.

If anyone has any ideas, along the lines of this week's Rally Car only idea from Cote, drop it in here for everyone to see and discuss. Although I think streetcar racing on CS to SM tires will be the basis for much of our racing, there are some themes I'd like to explore such as:

1. FF's only, probably at Laguna as someone has mentioned already.

2. Racecars only along the lines of the Altezza Touring Car, IS200 GT1 Race Car, S2000 LM Racecar, Spoon S2000 Racecar etc...all hovering around the 500PP mark, probably detuned to 475 or so.

3. An all 4wd event, probably at Eiger.

4. Jags vs. Astons, probably somewhere we can stretch our legs like Daytona Road Course or Monza around 450 PP

5. One make races with some of the iconic cars in the game like the Alfa Zagato, 71' Mustang, 69' Camaro etc.

6. A special one make race, perhaps separate from our usual schedule, only for Yellowbirds and/or BTR's?

If you like or hate these ideas let me know, we don't want to be planning races that people dislike, although to be sure, not everyone is going to agree on every idea...lol.:ill:

FF's for sure, on SH/SH...

Perhaps open up the Aston/Jag to all Euro cars (Alfa/Mercedes/BMW/Maserati/etc) or do a separate Euro cars event.

1,2,3,4,5 all excellent. On 5, I would like to see a non tuned AC 427, CS/SH.
Other car, could be the original Mini CH/CM

I added this to the feedback post:

:scared::nervous:

I've never raced them, in fact I hated driving them altogether until I got my G27 and figured I'd have another go at them and now I love them of course:sly:. They aren't for everyone that's for sure and they do require a lot of skill and patience to get around the track in one piece, which is why I suggested maybe making it a Special Event of some kind...maybe a Saturday event type of thing or an additional date during the week, in case it doesn't have wide appeal.

I love that idea JP, reminds me of my BTR tune for Indy Road or Yellowbird tune for Cape Ring South ... maybe we can use stock tune instead and sports medium/soft tires at dare I say ... SPA :)

I can picture RUFs hammering down at Eau Rouge ... mmmm :embarrassed:

Anyone ever thought of having a race at SSR7 using any car that have 320kmh top speed at max and CS/SH tires or SSRX with NASCARs ( draft battle all the way :lol:)

@ JP : Do you have all the links to posts with the descriptions of race issues that have the visual aids on the OP, or is that all there is that's already in the OP?
Just wondering if I need to go poking through more pages of this thread.
I thought I happened to see another one not too long ago, that isn't linked from the OP... ?

If we do a race with specific car, it should be tuning prohibited, as what would be the point driving a iconic car because of it special caracter and then iron it out with tuning.

Yeah, but then it wouldn't be the same as what we're doing now - there would be no "parity". The fast drivers would be fast and the slow drivers would be slow.

The tyre choice is a great equalizer and removing power does not alter the car behavior that much. It is just a suggestion, if the group prefer to choose a special car and then tune it to be be something else, I am good with it too. Originaly the Parity was done with tuning prohibited and every one had the same pace, no problem then, even when we had Elise vs trucks. LOL

We can do tuning prohibited, the room will still allow power limiter use and BB changes. Set a target time achievable by having say 80% limiter on harder compound tire - JP, that's your job :), that way the slower driver can run higher power and/or softer tires to keep up :)
