Thank you, Bryan :) I know you'll enjoy your Velocity and iRacing!!

Still a lot to do before that. Setup the rSeat, decide which wheel to mount, the CSR with CSP or the nixim modded G25. Find out the perfect position for the velocity and make an adapter so it will fit the rSeat.

And somehow these Tilton style pedal pads and Bend rod GT shifter are geting my interest... That G25 adapter too...

Guess that in the near future I will be back again.

Happy holidays

Bryan

Hi Derek,

I've decided looking at other boards is the only solution to my rotary encoder problem. I have a question regarding you're 32 button board. Can it be used with xpadder to simulate a keyboard? I am already up to the 3 USB controller limit in the sim I use most (race07)

Also, what connectors do I need to connect wires to you're board, other boards I have use screw terminals but yours has pins? If possible could you link me to a suitable connector.

Many thanks

All that information is on my site - please use this page:

http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/circuits

Circuits are a DIY component - that means each man has to use their best judgement for their own installation/use.

Tech support for Xpadder is offered at xpadder.com

Some titles have limits - there's no way around them with any devices. USB Devices are ordered by their vendor and product ID Numbers, a function over which no maker has control. The operating system initializes and sequences USB devices by their VendorID. From there the particular software uses what it does in order in which it "sees" the connected devices. Those titles with limits grab the first three.

Those titles are legacy applications, and it's unfeasible to attempt to develop components for them. Modern titles have unlimited controller compatibility.

I'm pleased to hear it made it - they must have sent the first one to the moon or the South Pole :)

Cheers!

Hey Derek.

I'm pleased to say my Pro Sequential Shifter arrived much earlier than I expected so thank you for shipping it straight away 👍.

I just have a quick question, do you have any idea where I might buy the wire that connects the shifter to the PC etc?

Nevermind, I just read the FAQ's on your website and found out it just needs a simple printer wire.

The issue with USB cables is that they are tough to get cheaply enough. Since all my devices use the most common USB A to USB B, they are not hard to obtain. Moreover, the feedback I receive it that everyone has one. :)

Thanks for your post, and I am pleased to hear your shifter has arrived safely to you!

Happy New Year to all!

Please allow a minimum of 10 to 15 working days for all international shipments. Once the shipment leaves the US, any tracking is not reliable - some may have results by looking up the number with their own national postal control.

I ship thousands of packs all over the world every year. They make it in time.

Happy New Year!

Introducing the FVS II Sim Racing Controller

Hi folks,

As many sim racing fans know, it's vital to have a button box controller for racing. I'm pleased to have a few of mine into service in the sim racing community, and I am probably the biggest advocate of having the right control component in the right place at the right time.

Some may have learned the hard way that reaching over to the keyboard to type a command or look for a particular key to cycle a menu can mean a 4x...or man :( :( :( or even "You %$^#$#....I can't believe what a $#@#$@ ^&%&%& you are!". The need for an easy to use, intuitive and attractive Sim Racing Controller is effectively self evident. DSD is the one to choose!

The FVS Button Box we produced over the past couple of years was retired late last year. It was originally named after the first customer who brought me the idea to include a large illuminated button on a box. It turned out not to be impossible, and the FVS was born. That large button is pretty cool, and the FVS was the most popular of the GT1 series I used to offer. Anyhow, I retired the FVS knowing I'd offer the FVS II. Here it is:

This is the first pre-production test unit. I plan to make some more of them for a "pre-release" run. The "Pre Release" versions will have 4, two way rotary encoders, 4 pushbuttons, one large lighted pushbutton (blue, red, yellow, green or white with DSD Logo), 2, two way toggles and 2 on-off toggles. I'll most likely put those out for right around 99 USD (and hoping to include shipping for free).

The production version will have 1 twelve position rotary switch, and three, two way encoders with integrated pushbuttons instead of the 4 encoders on the "Pre Release" version. That one will be around 120-125 (TBD).

I plan to start taking orders and update my site for the Pre Release version by the weekend.

Cheers and thanks for looking!

I'd say that's some serious gear!

@All - I will make sure there are plenty of FVS II's to go around - and I have another new one to come out in the near future ;) Actually...I have a few more things up my sleeves :)

Here is my rig with DSD Velocity box ... those rotary switches are brilliant for brake bias, pit menu selections and boost in rFactor

Hi BillG - Thanks for taking the time to put your photos and thoughts here :) Your setup looks great and your Velocity looks right at home!

Happy racing!

Oh my god ,

Love that FVS II b-box. Guess that would add a nice estra to my rig,
Can't have enough buttons I found out. Still have to figure out how to assign them rotary controllers on the velocity.
How can I pre-order that FVS II? Seem to have trouble finding it on the website? The Bend rod shifter has to wait a little longer then...
