Are you going to 'mass' produce an analog (not on-off switch) usb handbrake that comes already assembled, just plug in and play?

It's not mass produced, but it is ready to be ordered:

We make everything in my production facility, and everyone who works for me is a fellow sim racing enthusiast. :)

What's in the photo is what's shipped to the customer. It's proving to be popular and orders are being made.

@Logiforce - I wish to offer components which appeal to everyone whether casual or extreme. My customers are from every point on that spectrum :)

I know Derek. I just meant to say that components for one group won't always appeal to the other and visa versa. Which is why luckily all have many choices available to us as sim racers. ;)

Derek, I just want you to know I got this reply from Casey Ringley over at WMD with regards to the support of the physical brake bias on hydraulic pedals.

That is an extremely cool setup. Probably not difficult to support, but would have to be wayyyyyyyy down the priority list as it's something only maybe 0.001% of players will use.

So it is not a big no as with iRacing as you can see. :)
I told him it was fine as long as it gets on the list.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know some good news in this regard.

That's a notable update. I have been asking for proper three screen support in CARS since day one, but they seem to ignore it - or assign it low priority. I made this same suggestion to KS, and Steffano had it implemented in less than a month after they realized the enormity of it - apples and oranges, I know...my point is this:

Developers use the "no one will use" it excuse, but they overlook the realities that if it's there - MORE WILL USE IT. Not only will enthusiasts use a new feature, but hardware makers like DSD and others will see it as a new opportunity and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT.

I recommend iRacing anyhow - it's worth every penny, and is my sim of choice. I actively compete in official events and depending on the workload, race every week along side my customers and friends from all over the world. The ARX is SWEET :)

BTW, A shipment of handbrakes have arrived today :) Get one while you can - general note ;)

Derek, I have my handbrake all assembled and ready to go. Only problem I'm having in windows game controller setup is that the " Z Rotation " is on all the time and is up and down in the settings and in games when trying to assign the handbrake. Also not getting hardly any travel when using handbrake.

Does this mean I have not bled the system of air enough?

I'm kind of lost here.....

Support for DSD circuits is on this page:

http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/circuits

The instructions there and any accompanying documentation with a DSD board must be followed so the devices perform as expected.

NB - I leave a ton of information in my various posts. I made a post recently about how to bleed the system for first use. It's a page or two back. When in doubt, search up the post as I've probably covered it :)

Got my board with the two gain knobs today, Derek.

Thanks a bunch for providing these. They look great.

Edit:
I hooked up the 1600 psi transducer to the Y-rotation-axis. However, the Z-rotation-axis is also responding for some reason. All remaining analog inputs have a jumper on A(n) and GND, so my assumption was that this is the loadcell axis.
So I so I used a short cable as a jumper between V+ and GND. Result wise (in the driver menu) it seemed correct.
Didn't see this on your website, so I thought I'd share the experience so to speak.

Remember: When in doubt, my site has the answers :)

Let's keep in perspective that if you use a DSD 12bit board with integrated load cell amp, there is a chance that you will experience calibration interference from the unused Load Cell connection. The board is intended to have a load cell element connected to it, and as such, the Z-rot interference is encountered only very rarely.

However, my vigilant customers do find these things, and Logiforce has also determined the undocumented workaround :gtpflag: For best results, connect a load cell element to the load cell channel :)

Oh, another one is that if you use a USB hub with the DSD 12-bit board with load cell amp make sure it's a powered USB hub.
The board will need the full 5 Volts @ 250 milliAmpère that a USB 2.0 port can deliver.
So when other devices draw power from the hub already, the board will not start up and be detected by the PC.

Forgot to mention it earlier.

Oh and as far as why I got the one with the loadcell amp, it's because I wanted to get the MeaSpec pressure transducer at a later date to try out and maybe in the future use for hydraulic pedals. But didn't know the workaround was needed.
The board itself gave me the hint because of the jumpers on the analog inputs though. ;)

The thing is working blisfully now. Though now I have the urge to add buttons. lol
As they say... a rig is never finished.

Thanks for the awesome work, Derek. And of course to the others who might've helped to make it happen as well.

Still having issues with my handbrake, there is alot of pressure built up in cylinders leaving hardly any travel for lever, also having trouble with y rotation and gain control.

Y rotation is not gain controlled. ;)
Only Z-rotation is gain controlled as this is the load cell input. (If you have the same board as me).

If there is a lot of pressure, you will need a different master cylinder with a bigger bore size (if I am not mistaken).

Having seperate issues with y rotation and z rotation

I just noticed you put a handy extra 5V and GND rail up in the corner (though without pins). I made some handy use of that for give a couple of LED's in buttons some juice. ;)

Hi all,

In honor of Memorial Day Weekend, I'm pleased to announce that I have a very rare and limited edition "Master Sarge" (Track Boss) to give away. There are only two of these, and the OD green one is in service now with a soldier who's returned home from overseas. Everyone is eligible to win Master Sage #2, and the winner's name will be announced Monday, May 27th at 1800 (6pm) Eastern Time US.

To get your name into the mix, send an email to the address below with your name in subject line:

Each of us should think of the sacrifices others have made for us. Irrespective of where you live, all of us have people in their lives who have done for us in order that our lives are better. Thank you for letting me offer the components I do for your enjoyment. We are privileged to serve you!

Cheers and GLA!

Nice job! Derek's boxes look great mounted that way 👍 👍
Clever use of the pivots, maybe I can do the same on my 80/20 rig.

It is good to see, within short time your awsome material will be sold throug the rSeat company in France 👍

Hey Derek.

I know you don't take requests... But I do know you do one off's when the feeling hits you. If you ever decide to to a one off, in a red and black combo, I would be interested :P . I quoted the two above as reference to what you have done in the past. :sly:

I am not ready to buy now (unless you have a red/black combo sitting arround :P), but when I am I would love to get a Track Boss with all red if that is an available choice.

Also, I am not fond of the FVSII with a mirror finnish. Is it possible to get it with a black or carbon fiber plate? If not I understand.

The painted ones are done as we have time to make them - they are very limited editions, and I generally frown on making more than one of each type. In fact, the limited editions are all unique.

We've not made a red frame FVS II, but only one exists with a black face:

I am considering offering the FVS with black instead of mirror. If you made an order for a FVS II (either type), and the order came in today before 12 midnight UTC, I'd do one for you in red, but if midnight comes and goes, this offer (and I never take special requests) will not apply.

If you want it, don't wait. ;)

Just threw in an order for a T500 wheel adapter, so I'm looking fprward to being yet another satisfied customer. Do you ever plan on doing the Tilton-style pedal pads for the T500 Pedals, Derek?
