Ever considered buying a real camera? lol

The majority of people aren't exactly hardcore photographers and wouldn't carry a camera around with them in the car all the time. They would however invariably have a phone. Surely that is kinda obvious?

Sorry but the comments regarding "you need to carry a camera around with you" or "you need a better camera" or whatnot tick me off a little. The majority of people who post in this thread are part-time car spotters, not dedicated spotters or photographers.

Haven't seen this in a while...

Nowadays, smartphones have pretty decent cameras on them... the SONY Xperia Z1. That camera is beautiful!

My S4 takes amazing pictures(4500x3200 or something, 13 mp) if you take your time.

But when things go by you at 40 mph and you're driving at the same time, sometimes it's just "ok".

Having seen this thread for over ten years, I don't think we are asking a lot from its contributors. Not everyone carries around a camera with them at all times, and nobody is required to have a pro-grade camera to add to the thread.

The only things we ask is that:
A) a photo exists with the statement
B) most of us could reasonably figure out which car it is without guessing - uh, Sherman Tank or Robin Reliant?

After that, it helps to try working on taking a steady photo. If one's camera is not up to the task, get out of the car and get a still shot when and where it is safe and prudent to do so. Quality still trumps quantity.

We're still talking about cameras and picture quality? My goodness, what have I started? I didn't mean to offend anyone, it was merely a joke. I accidentally left out the part about how getting a phone with a good camera would suffice as well. My apologies.

An Elise I seen on Saturday. Was nice to see considering my spotting recently has been composed of... well, nothing.

Edit: Just seen this. Amazing. 100% original Monte Carlo. The older couple who own it probably bought it new.

Here's a double. One's behind the steering wheel and one's directly in the middle of the picture. Can you guys identify them?

1965 F-100. Restored in '08, claimed it had an original 352 Y-block V8, which doesn't exist, so may very well be another bored out or a 352 FE V8. FE more likely. Guy tried to sell it to me for $7,500. Would have wrote him a check right there but I'm short handed on cash atm.

The "Falcon" I think is a GM car those taillights don't match '60s Fords.
I think that "Impala" is a Dodge or at least a Mopar but I cannot make out what model.

I agree. I didn't see under the hood but it sounded stock.

What is that? That's awesome!

It's a Nissan Figaro, a retro car only sold in Japan in 1991, but quite popular here as an imported JDM car. (I say quite popular, I've only seen two. But two out of 20,000 in a country where they weren't sold is pretty good, right?) Here's the back:

The first one looks like a Dodge Wayferer or a 3w. The second is a Aston Healey MK3 3000. I can't figure the third and the last one is a Dodge Dart.

Finally...got a slightly better picture of the white P1800 for sale in my town:

Also saw a red one on the same day, but no picture. :(

Got to see a brand new maserati grantursimo at panera of all places yesterday. The guy was really cool though and was happy to talk about the car, and it sounded amazing ( first time hearing an Italian v8 in person).
