 Looks sort of like the photo you posted a year ago today here. And by sort of I mean exactly.

Famine
The Mazda MX-5/Miata would like to say "Errr, no."...

I was referring to recent numbers, not overall. The Sebring has been the leader the last few years, when Mazda stopped doing anything about the Miata.

Apparently Alex Roy hit the Chunnel first. Considering how far behind the Murcielagos he was, and the fact that he was running a Porsche 911 with audible police siren and flashing lights down a very highly patrolled motorway, that's quite surprising...

You can just make out the flashing lights at the top of this pic:

I'm a petrolhead. I like to see these things opened up (conditions permitting). I'm not so keen on a massive crowd struggling to be the first to fellate a nonentity who can spare £24,000 and a week to play around with likeminded zeroes. I've no idea who Alex Roy even is, nor why I should want his autograph. I wouldn't recognise the bloke who can't spell "Exhibit" if he stood in front of me with a sign saying "I'm Xzibit, the famous" whatever he is.

Gumball 3000 is about the people. I'm about the cars. I heard a Ferrari Enzo Ferrari nail past me 15 feet away at 80mph+ in 3rd gear today. That's what I was after.
He was not running a 911, he was running his famous Team Polizei M5.

But *McLaren* most of the best stuff for watching happens at the checkpoints or just 1-2 miles from the checkpoints, anyway I post my Gumball 3000 shots up, when there all ready. However I also heard the Enzo reving up, while hearing and seeing a A1 GP car do burnouts.

Ah. The worst version of the best "Normal" Porsche ever.

Seriously? I love it!! I especially love that it was offered with Tiptronic. I'd get a 968 cabrio if I had the means, although when I finally acquire the means they'll be so dated it won't be worth it.

Ha Ha! Good rare-car spot!

Its a 2007 Ford Mustang GT California Special. I think there were fewer than 5000 made, as it was the first of the 'special' Mustangs (to later be followed presumably by the Mach 1, BOSS, and Bullitt). I saw it when I was coming home from Target, sitting in a Wal-Greens parking lot. I immediately turned around and snapped the photos.

Hey, its an SSSRRRRRTTTT Four!

I should have clarified, entirely my fault. It's exactly the same Ferrari i have been seeing around the broadway, but i couldn't take pictures as i was on my road bike, next time i'll walk down there and hopefully bump into it! sorry for not clarifying that it is a re-post of the picture.

Gah SRT-4 are like mice, they are everywhere and you can't get rid of the damn things,

X5.

Better have your camera ready on May 1, 2008!

About those SRT4's, theres a yellow one running around my town, without a wing. Its yellow, but it looks pretty cool.

A guy in my neighborhood has a modified, red SRT-4... The black one was spotted out by my 'farm' (aka, my Father's house), which is normally a better place to spot some high-lux and extreme-sport cars on a regular basis. A guy who used to live down the street (before committing suicide, long story) had a few Bentleys, and I believe a Ferrari as well. The rest of the folks in that neighborhood drive fancy cars too, your standard Rolls-Royce, BMW, AMG, Porsche, products and the like...

The neighborhood where I live has a surprising number of rare-ish vehicles. I'm not certain if that Mustang is a local car, but I'd presume it is (being that that particular Wal-Greens)... So add that to the modified Dodge, a few local Saleens, Z06s, Elises, and what I thought was a Ferrari 365 Daytona... There are some nice cars here.

...Problem is, they don't live on my block. I hate to say it, but the only car here that can upstage mine (a '96 Wolfsburg) is a 2006 Cobalt LTZ...

These are from the past couple weeks.

Hooray Super Bee!!! Even when living in Michigan you don't see those too frequently...

...Have to love that M5 though. It is still one of my all-time-favorite cars to ever come from Germany...

Seeing as how Doug has Buckhead on straight lock, I decided to just head to downtown Atlanta instead. I didn't have nearly as good a day as my visits to Buckhead, but I enjoyed myself.

It started off with filling my tank. On the way into Atlanta I watched some stupid red car fly past me. I didn't think much of it until I saw the jerk blocking the interstate. I felt great after seeing his luck. He was fine by the way. I parked in a parking garage where I saw a GT400? Afterward, I grabbed a bite to eat at Steak & Ale, which sucked. I proceeded to walk around downtown taking skyline shots and shots of bums and stuff. Only car I saw that I enjoyed was the Saleen truck. First one I've ever seen. Anyhow, here's just a small sample of what I took yesterday.

I saw a Saleen Mustang that I see every now and again.

I'll try and get pics, but it's not around often.
