We have the "Rethink American" campaign for Saturn...which I find funny because half of their line up is from German GM.

I have a sweeet find!

I was at a shopping center in Irvine, California and spotted this Nissan Skyline GT-R. I did some reference in Gran Turismo 4, and it seems to be a 1973 model year, rear wheel drive too.

Prolly the most out of the blue car I have ever spotted. It made my day.

thats one of the best spots I've seen in my short time here, and it looks like it drive straight out of the game in such good shape

...Working the overnight at work screwed things up, so here is the stuff from the past two days:

- Jaguar XJS:
n78001441_30319709_650.jpg

Still one of my all-time favorite Jaguar models. Although, I don't think this one had the V12...

- Merc S550:
n78001441_30319710_927.jpg

Sexy to the Nth degree, I just love these cars. With a V8 or a V12, they go like stink, and drive well to boot!

- Ford SVT Cobra Convertible

Too bad the guy driving it was a total douchebag. I haven't seen anyone sit that close to the steering wheel before, and furthermore, make such a horrible attempt at driving like he stole it...

- Hooray! Buick Enclave!

They're just the right size, look great, and have a beautiful interior. This one was a bit expensive for my tastes (fully loaded, $44K), but more reasonable models are available.

...I'm so happy Grandpa is looking at one (or the Acadia behind it), as they are wonderfully good vehicles...

GREAT night tonight...

xlr_v-060707.jpg

Cadillac XLR-V. Female driven.

s63-060707.jpg

cl63-060707.jpg

Mercedes S63 [top] and CL63. First I had seen of either vehicle. Wow - the S63 looks sinister. Loved the opportunity to see them tonight.

quattroporte-060707.jpg

Maserati Quattroporte.

m6-060707.jpg

BMW M6.

v8_vantage_bentleys-060707.jpg

Aston Martin V8 Vantage + Bentley Flying Spur + Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner. Later I gave a thumbs-up to the V8 Vantage owner - he returned it. Perhaps he likes the A4?!?

Also caught a Ferrari 348ts making a run for it and chased it down until it hit a local valet...

Shot of the night goes to the 348ts and the Quattroporte...

You wouldn't know it from looking at those photos, but the temperature tonight dipped below 50F, registering 48F on the car as I was pulling into my driveway. On June 7. It was unbelievable - we got considerable snow in higher elevations.

Sweet spot on the CL!

I saw one the other night as I was driving home, but it was too dark and I didn't have enough of a warning to take the photo. It was green, it was pretty, and I want one.

...Sweet on the XLR-V too. I've only seen a few here in Grand Rapids, most of them were at the dealer. Although, they keep saying that all they are getting have been spoken for...

The more I look at it the more I think the Maserati Quattroporte looks like an Italian Buick.

seen this today, straight away i knew it wasnt what it claimed to be but i have to admit a good copy, full M5 kit including side panels, wheels, exhausts, badge and reg plates.....what is it really......a 525  wing mirrors gave it away straight away

@ the m5- thats pretty damn sad to copy that much and leave the mirrors :)

@ the cl63, are those the wheels they chose for the near-top-of-the-line model? I don't like those at all

I saw a Merc 190E Evolution II a few nights ago at Heathrow. I would have slowed down to take a pic/get a better look but I wasnt driving.

Wow, the S63 looks very nice! Too bad I didn't have my camera today, I came across two very attractive girls in their 20's driving around in a top down BRG Jaguar E type.....3 beautiful things to behold at the stoplight. I wonder whose car it was though, possibly rich parents.

The 63's are beautiful. It seems like its the 63's that sport the aggressive looks while the higher performance 65's are more subtle.

I have to admit that this is the single most ridiculous post in this thread. I hate to be so blunt and I've loved your photos, but come on.

The vehicle is an M5. You'll note that in order to have changed his '525' into an M5 he would've had to have changed the wheels, the front bumper, the rear bumper, the side skirts, the fenders - and then LEFT THE WING MIRRORS after spending thousands and thousands of pounds to do all that. Of course, you could've considered that he decided instead that the M5 mirrors - which are considerably SMALLER than regular 5-series mirrors - simply weren't big enough, so he spent a small amount to get them changed out. But no - your explanation seems right - he made unbelievably drastic changes to his vehicle (not to mention the M5 number plate) and left off the mirrors. Of course you presumably have no shots of the interior to back up your unfair allegation.

Can someone please explain to me why, whenever a Brit sees a cool car, he automatically assumes it to be a badge job? Obviously this is an almost comical example of this happening (to the point of absurdity), but is posing really that common in the UK?

Ha! You're right! So, what type of person would go to all that trouble to make a car look like another car that's only good point is not it's looks but it's engine? Bizarre.

No, it's a fake.

1 other clue are the lights to the side of the head lamps. In the 5 Series, they are clear like the picture. However, the M5 features bright yellow lights.

The fellow though, got an entire kit. I can clearly see the side skirts on that picture.
The M5 also has a moonroof, which this apparently does not have. Moon roofs though, are available on 5 Series if wanted.

Um, next year, those will be available in carbon fibre, so yes, they will serve a purpose.
I'm sure that purpose will be the same as the carbon fiber seat adjuster buttons on the Ferrari 599. Oh, and you can paint carbon fiber too, but that grill will always be there, tearing at your soul and making you wish you bought a 911 Turbo or 360 Modena.

Of course you could've mentioned that at the time of the post.

Again I openly ask - what is it with Brits and posing?

What is it with people jumping to conclusions without checking their resources?

Because I had access to the number plate which he blurred out?

I'm sorry - I thought my side by side comparison of the vehicles from Google Images was enough - turns out, Holdenhsvgtr had the reg number and ran it through yesterday. Then after he posts that nugget, you come in forty minutes later talking about the headlight wipers - a detail you no doubt would've missed had you not had access to the certain knowledge that the vehicle was a fake. And then you give me **** for not checking my resources? I'm not buying it, buddy.

I went on my judgement based on the information I had available at the time - you had more information available. Case closed.

Spots today...

turbo_r-060807.jpg

Bentley Brooklands/Turbo R. Purchased in 2002; not in the best shape.

Not one but three:

Sadly my cameras consistently conspire against me preventing me from taking a decent Arnage shot in Denver - truly.

v8_vantage-060807.jpg

Aston V8 Vantage. Frequently driven; sometimes posted. Owner got plates.

db9_volante-060807.jpg

Good aftermarket wheels on this DB9 Volante.

morgan_roadster-060807.jpg

Morgan Roadster. And...

morgan_v8_vantage-060807.jpg

Admit it, a very cool British car photo.

Also caught this:

m6_mondial-060807.jpg

Note the Ferrari Mondial behind it; caught that the other day - here's a different shot from today:

I'm done posting those - they're everywhere now.

Highlight of the day:

Hell. Yes.

Don't make me repost the SLR500!
