I have to post more often. If this forum were printed, this post alone would consume half a tree.
Toyota Supra
I took the photo thinking it was a turbo, but obviously it wasn't. Still haven't seen a genuine Supra Turbo in a long time.
Volkswagen Corrado
Just read about this in Car and realized I never noticed the pop-up spoiler. Neat!
Mazda RX-7 Convertible
Old-school rotary...with the top down.
Subaru Impreza WRX STi 2009
First I've seen on the road. I'm still trying to find time to test drive this for myself. It's only right to follow up
my review of the WRX sedan. And I kind of want to see what the big deal is. I'm still expecting it to pale compared to my 2005, but considering the dearth of turbo Impreza's on the road (and the lone STi still sitting at the dealer), I guess I still have time.
Packard 160
I might have seen this one before, especially considering it's in the same place I've seen Packards before, but I couldn't resist taking the photo. It's so picturesque.
Ford Model T
Is it actually a Model T? Looked like one; a later, 20's model or something.
Bentley Continental T
Funny how Hyundai copied this design, but is still the polar opposite of the Bentley image.
Ferrari 355 Spider
Soon to acquire classic status, I'm sure.
Hummer **
Not sure of the model, or the spec, but that snorkel intake caught my attention...if not a better photo opportunity. I shouldn't be so hasty, yes?
Honda Z Act
The owner of this also owns a Smart, which he usually drives. An apparent fetish for not small cars, but
tiny cars.
Lotus Elise
Stuck in traffic with me. Strong contender for my next "fun" car.
Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5SE
Not that special, of course, but while I've seen a lot of 2.5L coupes, this is the only 3.5L I've seen. Seems like a good alternative to the 350Z...until you take price into consideration, in which case it's totally not worth it. And it's still ugly.
Maserati Gran Turismo
As much as I see the common Ford-bin parts, I still think this works...mostly. It needs better coherence, but at least the design components are good. Hard to beat the engine note, though.
Mercury Comet ~1964
Something about this car just draws me to it every time I see it. I'm not sure why. It's not particularly special. Maybe it's that early-60's space-age name and image it...well,
tries to conjure up.
Pontiac Firebird 1967 convertible
I thought these were super-rare, or was that just a specific trim level? The gold color, I'm sure, was a popular option.
Mercedes-Benz C230K Lorinser
Lorinser? Or fake? It moved well, sounded good, so I'm leaning towards real. But was it even offered by Lorinser?
Mercedes-Benz S600 2001
Love those massive wheels. As if you couldn't have a wheel with more metal.
Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG
Previous-generation supercharged version. I suppose it's okay, but it needs that much torque for a car that heavy.
Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon/estate
I'd seen one about a year ago, in silver. I thought it was rare enough, but here's someone with not only a taste for AMG, but a desire to make the car look as old-fashioned as possible. If it weren't for the badges and exhaust, I'd assume it's a clanky old turbodiesel.
Porsche 911 Turbo 930
Not sure of the year, but it looked like it had friends.
Porsche 911 Turbo S 996
With GT3 wheels, no less. It actually looks quite good with them.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S
Not one, but two. Right next to each other. It's like looking at two coked-up elephants watching traffic roll by.
Ford GT
I posted a Mercedes-Benz SL600 a few weeks ago. The owner also owns this little Ford, and one more....
Porsche Carrera GT
SL600, Ford GT, and this. That's, what, $850,000 in cars right there? Nice to be able to have trouble choosing which to drive to work in the morning. Still need to learn how to park, though
