Danny - You should check your camera, the colours are all weird...
Great spot on the ML, but shame on you for cropping the front of the Porsche.

Today.

Opel Rekord with Lotus Badge on the side.

Carrera with a wing.

Jaguar XF.Only the second one that I saw.

I had just took a picture of the back and the side of the car, when the
owner of the car(a woman) came out of the house and told me that if I would,I could also take a picture of the front.:)
She told me that the car is one month old and that there are only 300 in Belgium.

Saw something I'd never expect to see in my life in the US. A Lotus Carlton. Granted, it was at the Boardwalk show, but everyone was stunned.

Well I went to the Red Bull Air Races today (although it was canceled due to weather) but not surprisingly I found these. First time I've seen em.

Next time you see one, ask the driver for a free Red Bull nicely. They always give them out 👍

I love Red Bull - I have a friend who used to be a rep. I'd get hooked up all of the time.

I have 2 on my phone, but I'm positive photos will pop up on FChat. Such a gorgeous looking car to finally see.

Can't wait to see the shots! Please post them here!

Today...

Very early-model RT/10

A great license plate - do you get it? :)

Just read up on the Lotus you saw *Mc*. It's a left hand drive German Lotus Omega, registered in the UK, got a show & display waiver and was running around for a few months with UK tags, but the owner was pretty confident that he'd get Texas plates very soon.

Cool spot for sure, and I can't wait to finally spot one here because they've been fully legal to import and register for almost a year.

Awesome. Hope he comes to more shows. And I also hope he keeps his UK tag on the front. The folks here are usually drawn to them.

 I see those Red Bull Minis all the time.

Really? This is the first time I have ever seen them and I had to go to the air races to see it.

Yup I got talking to one of the guys, mainly because it was a MINI and I was a bit curious, and he gave Kate and myself a couple of them. All the Red Bull people I met were very nice and friendly, gives a real good impression of the company.

Tonights spots:

A pretty bad ass looking Viper , sounded awesome too!

Opel Corsa OPC, why this was in America is beyond me. Isn't this the record holder for the 'Ring time in the super mini class or something?

Aston Martin V8 drop top...sexiness.

Manufacturers are allowed to bring over and register cars for testing purposes in Michigan at least. You guys probably know more about that, but I'm betting that's why you saw that Opel.

Ya, pretty much anything can get an M plate in Michigan. We have Holdens running all over the place here and on occasion a slathering of European cars that are made by GM or Ford that never sold here. I'm wondering why they are testing it though, maybe a Saturn version is on the horizon?

I don't really see how driving it around Michigan will tell you anything about the car that driving it around Europe won't, but great spot. Very cool to see.

Roads are engineered entirely differently in Europe than America, so are consumer lifestyles. There are tons of cars that work in Europe but would fail in America, and vice versa. Someone's gotta test these things before marketing the car.

America hasn't seen very many superminis in the last decade, and things are totally different now than they were back then, hence the Corsa. I think it looks splendid FWIW.

Exige, there's no direct photos of it, but you should be able to spot the Omega here.

Even though I didn't have the camera ( :dunce: ), I'm not too sad. Most of these guys I've already photographed from last year, and I saw the S7 TT & Diablo "GT" back at the Concorso. The black LP640, and purple/blue Murcielago 6.2 though, were new to me. The photos don't show it, but the event was also raided by a bunch of BMW ///M owners. :P

Not a great day for car-spotting (only saw one Ferrari, an F430 coupe, and I couldn’t get a picture in time). Here’s what I got though (plus a neat surprise at the end):

gt3.jpg

Porsch-uh GT3. In the Ralph’s parking lot by my school.

db9.jpg

Aston Martin DB9 Volante.

sky.jpg

Okay, Saturn Sky ≠ rare… but I just had to take a picture of it because of those ghastly rims. I mean, seriously?

aztek.jpg

As long as we’re on the subject of jokes, I thought it was hilarious that this Aztek was hanging around with all of the posh cars in the ritziest part of downtown La Jolla. Actually, I would think that for La Jolla, an Aztek spotting is more rare than a Bentley sighting.

clubman.jpg

My first Clubman sighting, I think. Silver really does not go with burnt orange.

gwagen.jpg

G-Wagen. Sorry about the lighting and the damn tree – the color was pretty interesting in the flesh.

s63.jpg

Mercedes S63 AMG. And a miniature giraffe attacking a man.

rs4-1.jpg

Audi RS4, bitches.

rs4-2.jpg

Close-up of the back.

gallardo.jpg

Lambo Gallardo. Okay, now pay attention to the red overhang thing and valet covering to the left. Now, look at this:

gallardo-gmap.jpg

This is from Google Maps. I’ve circled the same red overhang and valet covering. Is that not a really cool coincidence? Obviously, there’s a separation of months or years going on here, but there’s a tiny chance that it’s the same car (even if it’s not, it’s still a really neat coincidence)… wish there were a way to figure out how many yellow Gallardo Spyders there are in La Jolla.

license plate is different. looks like in the google pic there is just a lambo plaque like it had just been purchased from the dealer, or a salesman taking a lunch break. but it still could be the same car. it was just not sold or recently purchased at the time of the google pic.

and on the subject of RS4's, i hardly see any cars worth mentioning beyond e46 M3's around tacoma but ive seen a good handful of RS4's. we like our audis here i guess.

and i just noticed this, but rs4 does NOT have drilled rotors? what a disgrace of an auto...
