Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 convertible - unless someone purchased the
rear wing afterwards, this is my first SRT-6 sighting.

Wheels match too, and that's an SRT-6 color. Very rare car - possibly rarer than the Viper.

Audi S6 2007 - can't believe I got this. I had only a few seconds between realization and that shot. You can see the LEDs in the front bumper, and just make out the V10 badge (top left of image).

Fantastic sighting. Did you take this this week? I had no idea they were out yet.

No, he couldn't have. At the top of the image, you can see www.mobotix.com, a security camera company. Also, if you were seen on the top of that building when Mercedes was showing the CLK-DTM to the press (as is probably the case in that photo judging by the October 10th date) you may or may not live to tell about it, depending on whether you had a valid press pass or not. ;)

Still, those are IP cameras (which is all Mobotix does these days). It's possible that the track owners (which is who?) decided not to run CAT5/CAT6/fiber over the 13 miles of track. It's possible that they did everything wirelessly. It's even possible that you can drive by the track totally out of view, hop onto their wireless network, and capture whatever video & stills you want. There's nothing of national security on that site, so I doubt the network security would be all that thorough. I'm sure the average sysadmin could be streaming video to his laptop within 10 minutes. I know I'd try.

Or you can just use the webcam ;) (it's at the Nurburgring)

Formula 1 track, as in GT4

Part of the track to compare with GT4.

Just another Porsche, like there are many of them at the ring

Another Z3 M3 version

Today as I drove home from university a

Audi R8

passed me. I think it was the 420 PS version since I raced it and while it of course was faster, it wasn't that extreme. There almost wasn't any difference in 4th ( I could keep a distance of about 5-10 m from 140-170) a little more in 5th and a lot more in 6th gear. He didn't really smoke me though, since the traffic was too heavy. Full throttle from 4th to 6th at about 260 km/h ( 150 mph ) he was maybe 10-15 car lenghs away. Then we had to break very hard. Overall I raced with him 20 km on the Autobahn. Then the testdrivers left the Autobahn and smiled at me. They seemed to have enjoyed it aswell ;)

I was able to take several pictures at first due to the heavy traffic

Great sightings everyone! I need to go to Germany, so I can see all of these cars.

Sounds like Max_DC had fun racing the R8. Sure it would have been a blast.

Did you get to hear the F430 take off kikie?

Well I live near Ingolstadt and Munich, so I get to see all the BMW's and Audi's as concepts, M5 touring, new M3, 335 touring ( al least I think so ;) ), R8, Q7 etc just luck so to say, it would be better to live near the Nurburgring regarding the concept car aspect ;)

ITR sedan ! Where they much slower than the coupes (hatches)?

No - they were very similar. Only about 200 were made, and all went down in Japan, though I've seen pictures of some outside Japan (including chaser_fan's). It's a very cool car, and one I'd love to own. Much more interesting than the hatch.

Fantastic sighting, Max_DC - with harry's S6 sighting, that's two Audis very recently after release.

max_DC - Amazing photo of the R8. Really special!

Doug - Really, only 200 ITR sedans were made? Wow! There are a lot in Hong Kong. I see them quite regularly!

Yeah well - I see them regularly in the States too - of course, none are real. :D It's an easy cosmetic conversion, so really the only way to be sure it's a "real" ITR is if you look under the hood.

Kikie, you do realize that F430 is a Challenge model? I would say it's the new CS model, but to my knowledge, the tow bars are not included on the Stradale models.

Wow, only 200. That's really cool. Maybe I'll make a homebrew ITR sedan. :mischievous:

The difference being that the Ferrari is actually worth money. That makes it wow.
Right. So is the Maserati 4200GT and Mercedes SL and I've seen enough of those that I'm completely indifferent to them. I've seen a total of 7 360 Modenas despite living in the middle of nowhere. I've seen 1 Lotus Esprit.

Leave it to an engineer to overthink things.... In my defense, I was thinking about other cameras along the rest of the track, which hopefully would be full-motion video. :dunce:

Yeah, it was all yesterday. Totally unusual day for me. It looked like he just got off i95, the exit of which is no more than 200 yards behind him. Big grin on his face, too.

And of course, nothing of notice today. I'll put together a nice batch tomorrow, all from the past month. I like doing theme stuff for this; makes it more fun. Cheesy like limburger, but fun.

Even then it's hard to tell. Aren't Integra's still near the top of the list of most stolen cars? Is it any wonder seeing stock/intact ITR's is a rarity in the US (despite GTP having three sitings in as many weeks)?

Most likely a Challenge model, definitely not a Challenge Stradale. I don't think Ferrari is doing center-lock wheels for their CS this time. Plus, with the hood pins, heavily modified aerodynamics, and totally relocated exhaust, it strongly resembles the same changes for the 360 Challenge.

How did the F430 sound idling?
Like a real mean fast motorcycle. It's was almost like hearing an F1 car with a lot less db's but also "high pitched". It revvs very, very fast, like an F1 car or a, lets say, a new Honda Fireblade 600 RR.

Is this a good description??? :)

No, I didn't know that. I wondered what he was doing with a Ferrari like that at the Zolder track (pics were taken at Zolder), without license plate.

Sorry double post, could have done it in one post.

That works! I am sure it sounded glorious . . . just wanted to see if my assumptions was close to being right.

I can see in Italian.

Ferrari 360 Spyder - the rest of the garage is not worth mentioning. What year are those wheels from? I hardly see them.
Ferrari 550M - see? Same wheel design, but this combo I see quite often, and it helps me distinguish between the 550 and 575.
Ferrari 308 - gotta be a fake. Who de-badges their Ferrari? Pretty good kit, though.
Maserati Coupe - every day, regardless of weather, this is driven to the train and left there all day. I'm waiting to see if he drives it in the snow.
Maserati Spyder - these are becoming almost as popular as Cayman's. This is an old one, isn't it? 2002?
Maserati Spyder - thought it was a Gran Sport because of the rear bumper, but seeing the side says otherwise. Dig the SPQR, though. Lawyer or government?
Lamborghini Gallardo SE - no, the guy's not posing. He couldn't see me against the sun. It's at an Audi dealer, so I'm not sure if this really counts. No dealer plates, though.
