I'm out of themes for now, but it was an unusually high-photo-count day. So I guess that sort of makes a theme....

Bentley Continental GT - dark, fuzzy, incomplete...still a Bentley.
Dodge Magnum SRT-8 - I could have sworn the 300C SRT-8 had a nice exhaust note, but this had almost nothing.
Ford Mustang Saleen S281 - I see this almost every day, so I should be able to get a better picture. I want to know which S281 it is.
Maserati Quattroporte - the fuzzy stuff at the bottom of the picture is the bottom of my rear-view mirror.
Mercedes-Benz S600
Mercedes-Benz SL600 - the two top-end non-AMG twin-turbo V12's from 2005, 20 minutes and 10 miles apart.
Aston Martin Vanquish S - my first picture was garbage, but I took it because I thought I'd never see it again. An hour later, it's still there, so this shot exists. I probably should have stopped to get out, but I was under time constraints.

Very good shot - thanks for it. 👍 Are those Connecticut dealer plates? Damn you for getting to see a Vanquish on the roads. How the hell come I can't see this car? Am I the only one? I think I might be. I think even the poorest AIDS-infested famished kids in Africa have seen like two base Vanquishes and at least one S.

Ok, so if car shows don't count, can we still post pictures from them? I went to the New England International Auto Show today in Boston and saw some very nice cars.

That appears to be Massachusetts plates, although there is a good Aston Martin dealer less than 1 mile from that photo's location: Miller Motorcars, Greenwich, CT. Four large showrooms spread out throughout town. The website is just a fraction of what they offer. When I do business in Greenwich, I invariably travel US-1 right through town, increasing the likelihood of arthritis in my neck each time.

I would be okay with it. Anyone else?

I don't have a problem with it. And whoever said something about not seeing a Vanquish . . . well I have not seen one and probably will not any time soon. But then again, I was surprised by the SLR, so who knows.

Saw the new GT500 in white/blue. I would have got a picture, but I was 4 cars back in the turn lane and he was the first car at the opposite light.

sorry about the poor quality (M5 power should identify this place)

Definitely! Do you live in the area? I was down there today and caught an Arnage Mulliner, Gallardo, and Maybach 57S (plus a super-rare, super-expensive Ford F-650) but the rain today kept a lot of good cars out. There was also a 575 down the road at the Intercontinental.

You guys are going to have to wait at least a few more days for my pictures, though - my hard drive failed, so I have to wait for Dell to send me a new one before I can upload my pictures (right now I'm on a friend's computer).

No problem with car show pictures as long as there's less than 25 of them. Google can turn around car show pictures, too.

I'm going to see many goodies today. I'm going to a tuning show. Some the F'n F' cars are going to be there.
For the Belgians on this forum. I'm going to the "tuning show in Mechelen, Nekkerhallen", today.

Wow, today I saw a Ferrari 550/575 (I didn't get close enough to tell) open top, I think it was a 550 Barchetta, very rare, especially in NZ.

Rare in general! Do you know which it was? The 575 Superamerica has noticeable B-pillars, like this:

30-575super.jpg

The 550 Barchetta had no roof, optional or otherwise, and as such had no B-pillars. The 550 was a bit rarer than the Superamerica; about 450 Barchettas were made, while 559 Superamericas came out.

Are they really that rare? I see at least 2 on a weekly basis at the racetrack, they are the tow vehicle of choice for most racers. ill see if I can get some pictures of em up

Yesterday, while walking to the stadium for the OU game, I saw a black 996 GT3. I am pretty sure it was one of the second generation 996 GT3 too.

It depends which one you see. Standard, personal-use models, like the one I photographed (and should be up by Thursday) start at ~$90,000 and can run as high as $150,000 with options (which are plentiful). F-650s that see commercial use - like heavy-duty towing and hauling - are typically different vehicles, which are nowhere near as unusual or expensive. This is the sort of one I'm referring to:

Wouldn't be too surprising if a lot of racers were using that, honestly, especially if they were making a lot of money racing.

The Barchetta is a spectacular car. I can't think of any other car made in any even remotely recent year that came without a roof. Oh Ferrari...

It's an Attack K1... Based on a 1991-1993 Honda Accord platform, incredibly enough.

Well, the Lambo Mucielago Spyder has a useless roof...
But seriously, while I'm not sure, I don't believe the Panoz AIV roadster came with a roof. Or, if it did, Google Image Search didn't see to suggest so.
Edit: Okay. If I recall, the Panoz had a roof in Midtown Madness. Nevermind.
