TVR T350 - in my colour too... :D

(I always race my TVRs in GT4 in that colour, except the V8S and Griffith which don't come in that colour)

it looked like it had the Ford badge in the first pic

and before you mention it, i know it is a TVR badge:D

The 80 was sold here from '88 to '92. Not sure which engine the 20V is, but I think those were definitely imported.

I know the 80 was here, and I see one (and the 90 & 100) every few days. It's the "20v quattro" that caught my eye. I know that model exists, but I've only read about it in the UK. I guess it could have been imported, but it was a bit unexpected; it's right out front of a huge BMW service center. They're doing a benefit for the Open Door Medical Center there, right on the gigantic garage floor. The new V8 M3 should be part of the show. Unfortunately I won't know for sure until next month, and the event isn't until March.

M5Power
Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, Rolls' "base" model from '55 to '62. Around 2,500 were manufactured. Being driven very slowly by a very old man. The whole thing seemed fitting.

Outside of wedding limo service, I've only seen this driven one other time. A guy I met named "Legion"; did a lot of work with Trent Reznor and Killing Joke. The RR was jet black, and he never waxed it so it had an almost flat black look to it. "Goth" was an understatement.

That settles it I'm moving to Atlanta just for the cars.

Lots of places to go for that. For real variety, though, you need to move around. Europe opens up a whole new world of "interesting" cars.

MatttheTuner
 The most exciting thing I saw was a Lincoln MarkVI, and a 71 GTO. The funny thing is, whenever I go to the Seven Eleven, I always see cars like this.

The pictures! Where's the pictures? :dopey:

*McLaren*
About the Enzo. To bad you moved at the wrong time Doug. I believe they had the rare orange McLaren F1 w/ aero kit in with the Enzo a few months back.

That'd be the F1 GTR. Ultra-

Famine

Never seen it from such a high angle. It looks like a Scottish Fold:

Mixed bag over the weekend:

BMW M3 Convertible - taken for the license plate, not the car.
Mercedes-Benz S600 - same thing...well, the car is cool.
Maserati Quattroporte - guy had his back to me the whole time. No clue I took a picture. Great color, though.
Peugeot 405 S - rare in the US, at least. I think.
Toyota Celica GT Convertible - never seen one until two days ago.
Volkswagen EOS 2.0T - I thought these weren't due until next year?
Studebaker Avanti - completely mistreated. It doesn't look as good as the picture makes it seem.
Mercury Montego - best picture of the week. It's a landau top! Ridiculous, right? As I walk back across the street checking to see how the photo came out, a M6 Convertible rolls on by. Completely out of range by the time I realize it. to :( in 10 seconds. Seen this car just three times and simply can not get a picture. There are more Aston's on the road than this!

Volkswagen EOS 2.0T - I thought these weren't due until next year?

I saw my first one August 26, and have since seen another. They're definitely out; in fact, they were slated for a November release. Here's my August 26 shot of one:

The Quattroporte is a Sport GT, by the way.

Great sightings as always! :D 👍 The Montego landau is really special - it's weird though, the landau top would serve the car much better if they had the up-spec wheels, not the base ones.

Well, that's what a lot of people think at first, but it's not. ;)

BTW, this is the McLaren in question.

This was at SEMA which is in Las Vegas, so those reports of it being seen in Las Vegas must be referring to this.

Not necessarily. There were far more GTR's made than LM's (28 GTR's across three years, and 5 LM's during one year), so chances are they saw a GTR. The LM pictured above is ridiculously rare, of course, but I find the non-stock wheels strange considering everything else on the stage seems to be factory stock. Although if the "reports" were made while at SEMA, then the whole argument is moot.

I think you misunderstood me Harry. :)

But before I explain why, let me apologize. The F1 they had was the one I believe Dan Kennedy had. It was a regular F1 in that unique orange.

Anyways, when I said it had the aero kit, I meant it had the optional areo kit that was available to standard McLaren F1s. It was no form a GTR.

The car picture above is also not a F1 LM. First off, that orange is nowhere near Papaya Orange. 2nd, those wheels are what are offered when you buy the optional Aerodynamic Kit. The Aero Kit is quite easy to spot really because the lower side panels and rear bumper are not even with the front bumper as the GTR is.

Here's 2 more F1s that were built later on with Aerodynamic Kits.

Most McLarens are re-sold through McLaren themselves. They'll happily modify F1's to new owners tastes, from re trimming the interior to making it into a full LM or GTR spec car, and any level in between. Even US based cars often get maintained at the Mclaren factory - if you can afford £1m+ (going rate for a used F1) you can afford the shipping costs.

Well you cheated then. :P

So why does it read "F1 LM" just below the car (which I didn't see even as I went on about how it was a GTR)?

Edit:
Crud - I almost forgot: a trio before Thanksgiving.

Lotus Elise - in front of the Porsche dealer, with a BMW M Coupe in the driveway.
Mazda Mazdaspeed Mazda6 - my vote for most redundant name. "626 MPS" was much better. (Did I post this before? I suffer from CRS these days.)
BMW 335i Coupe - wasn't this supposed to be "335Ci"? Cool nonetheless. Side shot stinks, so I just had to walk up & capture the badge.

What car are you referring to because I'm a little confused.

The LMs were GTRs basically except without air restrictors.

Well today, I saw a Maserati Coupe in black. It must have been brand new because I did not see a tag on it. I also saw a 997 in blue, probably only the second 997 I have seen. Yesterday, I saw a 964, along with another one today. All in all, it was a pretty good day. The only problem with my sightings is that the good majority of the time I am driving and do not have a camera available to take a picture while driving. Probably not a good idea to try and take pictures while driving either.

only a couple things today.

an 06 325i:

pretty sexy if you ask me

and an is200 sportcross:

these are rare arent they? any ideas on production run?

Yep. The car was disaster for Lexus. Don't believe me? Remind me tomorrow to take pictures of the 2 BRAND new ones still at Lexus, and the one with 30 miles on it from the year it came out.

For today's sighting, I may have been at a showroom, but that's the only place you'll see what I saw. This particular Maserati spent 2 months in customs, and was the 2nd out of 7 in the US. It's not street legal, and costs a nice $750...K. ;)

Pics tonight.
