Yet any one who has studied McLarens knows that's not true.
It's not a LM harry. That's just a GTR sporting the Aero Kit offered by McLaren. The LMs were Papaya Orange, a much "duller" orange color offered in 5-spoke rims.
That's what I said it was in the first place.
But that goes against two very obvious things:
- That's a Michelin display booth. Michelin had a significant part in developing the car. I would hope they know an LM when they have one.
- We've all established that McLaren does a fair amount of customization, and I can easily point out a number of awkwardly customer-modified F1's. That means that the color, wheels, and aero package are not exactly the right things to go by when determining spec level.
The extremely low production numbers on this car shouldn't make it hard to determine the full history of each car, but apparently it is. I've got the
official book right in front of me (which I have actually read, word for word). And I've actually driven one (albiet briefly, 10 years ago). It's not as though I'm pulling this out of thin air....

edit: also just noticed what a fantastic job the owner did of parking between the lines
Living in the city (or suburbs) means your car is at risk everywhere you park it. It's too crowded and full of people who just don't care for their, let alone
your car. He's on an end spot, so he's not taking away a potential space. I do the same thing. I want my car as mint as possible as long as possible. I end my commute among a small group of similarly-minded individuals who all park at the far end, edging just off to the side. Seeing the lot of us at once looks odd, all shifted 1/4 space over.
Toronado
Series II. It has the ugly restyle job (as told by the tailight location being under the bumper) and the 4.2L I6. The Series III had the ugly restyle job as well, but only came in 5.3L V12 form.
Thanks! 👍

I hope no-one objects to me following the rules of the thread, it's just going off topic and being irrelevant seem to be all the rage now.
Not me. 👍
M5Power
Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster (need I say more?)
Nope. 👍
Hella nice weekend. I think the Smart was both the "dullest" and rarest.
And that first-year Viper is fantastic. One of the few times three-spoke wheels look good.
Another trio: Ich lieb' dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht . . . da da da
Ferrari 360 Spyder - I could have had a shot of some assistant feverishly polishing it, but he just got in the way of a good car.
Rolls Royce Phantom - perfect setting for the car: NYC, Park Avenue & 48th, heading north. Caught it already in motion, but it looks great.
Ford GT - took multiple shots, but this one gives a great perspective of how short it is. The ticket was there before I got there (along with tickets on every car behind it - Range Rover SS, 760Li, S500, Denali), but none of those cars had moved when I "happened" by six hours later. Gave a real lift to over-crowded 5th Avenue Christmas shopping.
