Casio, that looks more like a H2, than a H3.

Is it? I just assumed it was a H3 because they are being released here soon. If it was a H2, then that's amazingly rare down here. (Not that a not yet released H3 isn't...)

Lotus Europa

I saw "something" sitting in a closed repair shop. I initially thinking there was an Audi Quattro, and went to check that out. The Lotus was behind that, but I was hoping it was something different (Miura or DeTomaso). Poor thing had the driver's window open all weekend through the rain. Not that having the window up would have prevented any water getting in, but it's the thought that counts.

How rare are these?

First Australian Hummer H3 GTP sighting?

That's a Hummer H2, indeed.

I see this car from time to time when I'm out at lunch. I parked next to it today, so I snapped a quick pic.

Yes, it's a D3 S8.

No, my cell phone camera does not take better pictures. This pic really doesn't do this car any justice. It is much longer, wider, lower and meaner looking than the Razr manages to make it look.

You own an XL7?

Well at Santa Barbara I saw a few cars--Porsche 996 911 GT2, Porsche 550A Spyeder (prolly a replica), A 'Vette that looked like the race-mod of the split window in gt2, a porsh 356, a Saleen S281E and a new Sebring, but i missed the 550 spyder and the vette, and since my memory card reader isnt working you might have to wait a while...

Oh and in dealers which I didnt bother to take pics of were a 360 modena spyder, a 911 Turbo, a new M Coupe, many Audi RS~s, and an Alpina Z8.

Will have pics ASAP, as soon as I find my working memcard reader.

Saw a Dinan M3 on the way down to AC this past Saturday. The woman who drove it had it loaded to the gills with kids and luggage, which almost casued it to drag along the Garden State Parkway. I've never see such negative camber on a car in my life.

I looked at a Lotus Europa enthusiast website and it says that there were 9887 Europa made from December 1966 to October 1974.

Any idea on how many came to the States?

Fantastic shot - have yet to see one of those yet. Seen an S6, but no S8.

Not a clue, I could not find anything quickly looking through a couple of links. Just information on how many Europas were made.

Finally I can add some photos to this thread....:)

Bentley Continental GT, pretty crap photo I know but we were driving past so meh....

I also saw a new Audi RS4, DB9, 996 911 Turbo and a SL55 AMG but no photos since they were heading in the opposite direction.

Nice! Where in New Zealand are you?

I live in Auckland, biggest city (but not the capital) in New Zealand. I think about 2.5 million people live here, of our 4.5 million total country population :dopey:

When I took most of these pics I was over at a mates house in Herne bay which is probably one of the richest areas of Auckland which explains all the minter cars.

Expect more pics from me from now on, got a camera I can use all the time now...

:D 👍 Good deal.

By the way the Porsche you posted wasn't a 993 - it's a 964, the model directly prior to the 993. A bit rarer than the 993, but the C4 is more common on the 964 model than it is on the 993 model. For the record the 964 went '89 to '93, and the 993 came out in '94 and went until replaced by the 996, following the '98 model year.

Oy vey, should have picked that up when I stopped to take a look :dunce: I'm not used to seeing 964s, there are so many 996s around these days I get teh 964s and 993 mixed up.

i saw a new british racing green Bentley arnage, i think 2005 or 2006, not too sure.
Dont often see cars of that calibre around here so it was a nice surprise.
also saw this elise, not amazingly rare, but its not local as ive never seen it before.

note: this is not the recycling point! 💡 :P

Nice shots Revheadnz, cool to see a fellow Kiwi around here. 👍

I remember seeing a Aston Martin V8 Vantage around Wellington. I love the look of that car. Too bad I don't have a shot of it.

Here is a picture of it anyways.

👍

Sorry for the OT but, Doug, you havent seen a MKZ before then? I've seen 3 already. Also, there used to be a BMW 2002 (Non-Turbo) out side a T-Mobile shop, but I finally brought my camera, and it was gone....:(

Very common. See 1-2 a day (190's and 111's) but I do live in a fairly wealthy area. My friends dad owns a red 111R Elise convertible (<- Red convertible Elise, guessing the spec.)

Gotta hate when that happens. :grumpy: Worse when it comes back, and you don't have the camera.

Saw my second one yesterday, finally, and it was in private hands. It only came out a couple of months ago, so they're not too common yet.

I sort of figured that. Here they're a sight to see, but I refrain from photographing them because I know Europeans see them all the time.

I don't think you'd get many objections. If not Elises, definately photograph Exiges as those are fairly uncommon over here. 111Rs are always welcome.

I didn't realize that the Exige was so rare, but everyone's been telling me it's quite unusual. As for the 111R, to my knowledge we only get one form of Elise (190hp 1.8-liter 4-cylinder), so I don't think those are around.

I'm not too familiar with Lotus, unless it's a Cortina.

I just group all of the 'new' Elises under 111R and that's good enough for me.
Today I saw a Sport 190 and a 111s, but Lotus are usually ignored and I take note of the more exciting stuff: Red Hillman Imp, fully stripped out, ready for tracking, sounds great, know the owner and of course, the compulsory Carrera.

Plus a mystery car. Avacado purplish, probably lighter (vimto colour) with a flat rear panel like a Ferrari 250. Definately a sports car, 1960s era, didn't get to see the front end.
