Thanks, I'll mess around with the tuning a bit and even see if Traction Control settings help, as @GroupB suggested. It just seems a bit more difficult to control the RWD cars than it was in DR1, to me. All hope is lost if they add the Lancia 037 in DR2.0.
I'm still having a blast, the steep learning curve is actually a good thing to me in the game.
I’m surprised how quiet the forum is, would’ve thought there would be more posts given that the masses have now got (as opposed to just the people that got it early.
Poland, arg, and NZ are great and are of the calibre of the stages in the first game in terms of how intersting they are (that’s a compliment btw!).
A little disappointed by Spain and and New England, feel like Dirt 4, and so does the car list. New England benfits from the degradation though so i guess it feels a little fresher.
Looking forward to the Fabia WRC though.
I'm feeling like there is a jump in difficulty, too. I won my first championship easy but am struggling to keep pace in the 2nd championship in my VW GTI. I don't mind it, though, it gives you the chance to race until you either get better at the stages with the car you're in, or you can afford upgrades/ a new car.Is there a big difficulty jump in career? Because i breezed the first championship in the Fulvia, but now in the 205 in the 2nd championship,im something like 10 seconds down after the first checkpoint vs the same cars?!
How about they created the Spain Stages with YourStage and added trackside objects etc to give it a unique feel ? They say YourStage has a lot of repetition but I think there are quiet a few similar sections throughout the new stages (Youtube footage) or am I wrong? Argentina and Poland feel unique. Michigan, Spain, New Zealand pretty much generic.
Really disappointing about Pro support.
Xbox One X: 2160p (dynamic down to 1800p lowest), Locked 60fps
PS4 Pro: 1080p, Locked 60fps
PS4: 1080p (dynamic), Locked 60fps
Xbox One S: 1080p (dynamic, down to 810p): 60fps with drops

Yes, Spain just feels like Dirt 4 with extra trackside objects. New Zealand is outstanding in comparison to the rest and really stands out, 6 new New Zealand locations would have been amazing.
I remember when the first New Zealand and Poland footage was released within an hour people on the Codies forum had already traced the stages to their real-world counterparts, with Google Earth screenshots and YouTube onboards. I have not seen any of that for the other locations.
To me I think NZ and Poland were done back in the day as DLC for DR1 but for some reason were whitheld. Spain, Australia and New England look ripped right out of Your Stage (with some handmade details to make them "alive" and distinct). Argentina also looks Your Stage-ish. Could Argentina have been a possible Your Stage DLC for DiRT 4?
This is just speculation on my part based on my observations and impressions. @bogani you and others have referenced La Figuera for the Spain stage. Do you have any video/photo comparisons as convincing as what I mentioned for NZ and Poland? I must have missed that at the time.
I notice that one of the daily challenge is for DLC only and it won’t let me enter it, i didn’t think the dlc had been released yet? What am i missing?
I believe the ones marked “D+” (which btw Codies is a bad grade here in America) require the Deluxe Edition Content, which at least on Xbox, is available as DLC.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they said there would be unique high value daily events for deluxe edition owners. Very similar to the VIP events in Forza 7.

Urgh. I own Deluxe but I'm really not a fan of splitting the player base this way.
I’m getting much enjoyment out of Historic & Time trial in Free Play mode. I haven’t touched Career mode since.or just leave the carreer mode and have your kicks in the Free play mode. I mean everything and even more is available over there.
Think of it another way - At least when the new car classes/environments arrive, we can use them in My Team. It's a far better solution than placing them in the poorly-structured career mode championships.
start at 1:24 - the stage has been called many things over the years, but it's famous for the El Molar hairpin (hence Dirt 4 modelling one of its tiles after the same hairpin, just without the scenery...)
For the record, Australia has the same route, but it a little off scenery-wise:
The reason any of them familiar from Dirt 4 is that these locations were clearly used as inspiration for the tiles in that game. Only now they have the genuine route that were used as 'inspiration' previously. So personally I'm glad - I never spent much time with DiRT 4 but now I get to drive the proper versions of those stages in a game I actually like. I'm one of those that really wants to see Finland, Wales and Greece's stages come back from DR1 though (seeing as I haven't played them for two years and remember very little of the actual routes).

After seeing the onboard footage of Spain , I start to appreciate D4 YS effort even more. They did a pretty good job actually with the generated stages.
I would say that Spain was the best location from a YS point of view while Wales was the worst/most repetitive.
