Any going back to a point someone else mentioned earlier, yes, the high proportion of night vs day and wet vs dry stages in career is odd. I always thought the night stages were a novelty in rally, not the the norm lol.

It’s how the repetitive nature of the game is masked. If you can’t see where you’re going it takes longer to learn and recognize the stages. Surprised there’s not more fog.

 Never thought of that, the deceptive swines lol
Guess that means it won’t be fixed then lol great....

Is there ever any point to using the hard tyre compound seeing as your tyres only ever need to last two stages before getting to the service area again?
I’ve been using medium is the next two stages are quite long and soft if they are both short...or 1 long and 1 short, noticing a tiny bit of drop off towards the end of the second stage... but to be fair that could just be a placebo effect.

I've had a few rallies in historical chmapionships that have had 3 stages between services. Also have to manage it based on how many times you can change .got caught out with that as well and had to run 4 stages on one set of mediums.

Ah okay, thanks for the info. I’ll look out for that.

Are all the stages not real? I'm asking because the game features a Spanish village called Bellriu, but I cannot find it when searching on a real map.

The stages are real (with a touch of creative license) and can be matched with WRC onboards, but they use fictional region/town names to avoid licensing issues with WRC promoters.

I'm very happy that they are starting to add some variety to the community events, now I can see how much I suck across even more categories!

How is the gameplay with the Xbox controller on Xbox One X guys?

I can't comment on the 1X part, but I use a Xbox controller on PC and it works great (the only thing I had to change was the sensitivity).

Rivanov i,m finding it fantastic using a mix of pjtierneys and attax johnsons settings .all available in this thread .now if only i had setting for csl elite wheel on xbox x i just cannot get a good feeling

Not that it is of any interest but I'm still deciding which version I should get. :irked: :ouch:

I think I've found the problem with the game being too dark sometimes. HDR. For some reason the HDR in this game is very overpowering on the contrast. Disabling it in the video menu on the Xbox is a dramatic improvement in the game.

I can't seem to tune the rear wheel alignment on the Escort, this the same for others?

Yep, the rear axle of the Escort doesn't allow adjustment, which is the same IRL.

Yep, I turned HDR off in the hardwaresettings.ini on PC yesterday. The too dark to see problem is now gone!

The RWD cars are very difficult to drive. Now, before anyone gets all "you probably just suck"... yes, yes I do, but the RWD physics, even on the slowest of cars, such as the Ford Escort are difficult to control with a controller (wheel might make things easier), but no matter how much I feather that throttle, the back end wants to swing out. But then maybe it's realistic?
Yes they are very difficult to handle on a controller. I've only driven the 131 Abarth but my god it's tough to keep it on course. However when I do, I can win the stage but that's only happened once so far. For the others, I'm completely off the pace.

More players should consider taking on the wet leaderboards in Time Trial. They are so empty compared to the dry ones.
Good idea. To be honest I completely forgot that one. Will do some wet stages.

PS Yesterday I found out that one stage had the same name as my wife. Now I understand why it frustrated me that much ;) haha just kidding she's the best I can imagine. stage Marynka in Poland. Flat out and very fast (the track...)

Daily Challenge did not end that well. According to my co driver Phil we have only some minor damage.

Oh, for an instance there I thought 'Wow, his wife's name is Elsthorpe Sprint Reverse, how cool!'

:P

One of the weekly rally’s is in Spain, 8 of the 9 stages are wet...in spain...

I hope they patch the weather forcast in career and have it a little more realistic for the daily’s.
I agree, the rain and the dark are starting to take the fun out of the game. With so much rain and so many night time stages it's becoming a chore rather than the challenge they should be if they were less frequent.

My first custom championship is almost exclusively day running.
