It's always been like that. Ever since Colin McRae Rally. The best - and most challenging - stages have always been Welsh.Wales is definitely my worst location - oddly my favorite at the same time. I love how difficult it is.

I think that the controller sensitivity is lessened for a reason. Track racing being for the most on a relatively smooth surface is a different beastie from gravel, dirt or compacted ice - if you were to do several stages, you'd have tingling hands from the constant vibration...also, the batteries would likely last half as long.Regarding controller feedback (or lack thereof), I've posted a thread on the official subreddit. I know 1 or 2 people here had similar issues so feel free to chip in. Hopefully it's something that Codemasters can look into.

Also, the rallycross cars feel dull; there's none of the nuance that you get with the rally cars. They feel like they're better-suited to a demolition derby, designed to take punishment above all else. Penalties are also dodgy as hell - I was racing on the Holjes Clubman circuit and put two wheels over the ripple strip on the chicane without any penalty on one lap, but did the same thing on the next and was under investigation.I have decided that I HATE rallycross. It's impossible to get a good start with a controller, and the slightest bit of contact will spin you around.

You do know how to sit in a Stratos, right?I am doing a Stratos run in the Clubman tourney. First event is Wales and managed a 3rd. I will take it, that thing wants to kill me.
I knew I was doing something wrong. There should be a video tutorial for this. You do know how to sit in a Stratos, right?
First, you sit down and lean back. Next, bend your left leg so that your heel is up against your butt. Then, stick your right leg up at a 45° angle. Place your elbows against your knees and push outwards so that you can hold the steering wheel, but your knees cannot go any wider than your shoulders.
You can now drive a Stratos.
Such was the era of the F2 Kit Car.I hat the Peugot kitcar. So much undesteer that I want to cry.
I chose the Stratos for the Clubman Championship as well. I blazed through Wales without much issues but was getting slaughtered in Sweden by two Finnish AI drivers - was down by 25 seconds until I made a comeback in the last two races to 1st place, very much thanks to one of them badly damaging his car in the last race. Though, admittedly, I rage quit the game two times during that event. Those snowbanks are lethal.I am doing a Stratos run in the Clubman tourney. First event is Wales and managed a 3rd. I came second in the Open series' as well thanks to some very rough beginnings after diving straight into career. Still though, suppose thats the way the career is meant to be played given you are moving up the ranks. Getting my first overall championship win will feel amazing.
Basically the only reason I chose it. Without any doubt one of the best sounding cars and I absolutely love pushing it sideways (although that can and will bite you in the ass).gotta love the sound of the Stratos though. And actually I like the way it handles.

This is one of the positives of Dirt for me, most other rally titles (looking at you WRC5 and SLR) have AI drivers who never ever make mistakes. In Dirt not only can they mess up, but the timing gaps between places are far more realistic.I chose the Stratos for the Clubman Championship as well. I've been using the Alpine too, and I can actually win races. But that is compared to the Mini, which was slow as crap.I restarted my career the other day to use the new Alpine. I've currently finished first in the first 4 rallies so far. Either I've gotten really good or the Alpine is overpowered.
Xbox one and the TX are mega powerful FFB, having to turn it way way down and really finding the use of handbrake very tricky when mapped to B button on wheel. FWD cars I hate, RWD I love and the modern Rally cars are just sublime, which I'd expect as if after years and years of technical advances if it was easier to drive a Group B car than a modern day Rally car it would be daft IMO..
This game is hard though. Motorbike racers and Rally drivers get the most respect out of me in the world of Motorsport..
The TH8A actually supports analog handbrake mode, but sadly it's PC only:

First up, he was talking Xbox One.
