Other GTP user (i can´t remember his name or even i am too lazy to see if it was posted here before lol) put this link that you guys must read.

http://imagequalitymatters.blogspot.com.es/2010/12/tech-analysis-gran-turismo-5.html

(after read that answer this)

So, Are you sure you want GT6 for the PS3?

I rather prefer GT6 being a PS4 (Orbis) launch title in 2014 than again a downgraded and not fully optimized game because of the current PS3 hardware.

Bring it to us a major and possible last update and one huge DLC and that´s all. Keep playing till the next game and console. I found new ways to play the game now with cars that i never used before. (sad part is that most of those are standard but still 'runs' great) And rally which is great in this game but needs more attention from PD talking about tracks and point to point + hillclimb. (will be a great addition as Pikes Peak was)

BTW i think that PS4 is going to come in 2014 because Sony announced today God of War Ascension (the 4th) for 2013 and amazon put a placeholder date December 2013.

Tornado,

Mario kart is actually fun. Unlike forza. You should try it out sometime. Fun=quality
And the paint system is not even on the same level as releasing games on a two year cycle with DLCs on top

At least they accomplish their deadline, too bad your dogma has an issue with that. Also DLC is wrong for other sim console games but oh let's give PD the double standard all the time.

PD and kaz are nothing but broken promises now. ive had enough believing anything they say and i doubt very much ill be getting gt6. they cant even keep up their promises of DLC every 2 months? we are still waiting for another batch. this game has done nothing but go backwards and kaz knows it too.

The secretiveness of PD and KAZ about DLC and the future of GT5 / GT6 is much worser than that of the Iran about their nuclear program.

But a paying customer like we are should not be treated like that! 👎

+1. I love racing but GT5 doesn't offer any. Just ridiculous rotating with 15 zombies around a track at best. When you want some competitive race, you have to start elaborating what car and what fiddling with it to do to make it as weak as possible, so eventually you could experience some racing. Usually with those weak opponents or with that 1 much faster winner. Not with all at one time. What a nuisance!!! :grumpy:

Ended up time trialing at Nordschleife, the same way as in GT4. No races, PD.

And in fact, I have just minimal hopes for better situation in GT6, to be honest. You are too distracted by beautiness to do a good game, too distracted by your team "almost family, I know" to hire right people for flawed parts of the game (offline and online game system, car sounds). :guilty:

👍 Exactly my toughts.

Let's see if someone can read what I wrote, I dought you can, and you won't bother too either because it'll bline you. Hahaha! Plus the font is small, theres no way you can read it now. :)

That's what I said from somewhere, I think in the news section. "If you can't walk to walk, then don't talk to talk." I'll laugh if the DLC isn't so "big" and what people were "expecting" it to be. That'll anger everyone and will completely drop GT for sure, all because one man couldn't even handle one simple promise to millions of people he promised too. Honestly. Well GT Academy 2012 is in, and Bryan and his friends who are winners are there also, yes!

He mind as well work on GT6, because I don't see GT5 going anyway, but angering and disappointing more and more people for something that's gonna be small. Oh well, who am I kiddin'. I'm not even a developer, so don't care much.

But I do know one thing. Kaz did say he's saving content for GT6 anyway, and I'm happy to hear that. GT5 is just disappointing people more and more everyday, and that's hurting me too.

I'd like you to show me when he 'promised', as you put it, that DLC will be every two months.
I remember Kaz stating that he would TRY and bring out DLC AROUND ABOUT 2 months. How is this any kind of promise? If I said I was going to try and be at the station in the afternoon, at approximately 4 o clock, would you expect me to be there 4 o clock dead? I wouldn't, and I'm sure most people wouldn't.

This is almost a GT5 hate thread lol.

Just what I was thinking. In fact, I'd go as far as it's seemingly worse than the depression on Facebook. "oh my god, unplanned DLC is 'late' upon estimation, I've lost all hope and I also believe Kaz has suddenly obtained amnesia!"

Now that we have that out of the way, we're ready to release more expansions and content to add to the game. I think that will include cars and trucks that we'll be releasing maybe once every two months or so from here on out. What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one.
Linky.

Take from that what you will.

This, he never promised anything! They only set a estimate for 2 or so months dlc.

Edit:

Your right, he didn't promise, my bad. And the meaning of "approximately", I don't know what to say to that...

Honestly, how much does GT mean to your life? :odd: You can't seem to post in the forums without making an aimless attack at PD and those who defend it.

Honestly it means alot to you. So much so you'd rather get ready to spend money on a game that doesn't even exist versus one that does.

I will continue to attack PD along with others because the game that took six years to copy and paste onto 1080p is still appearing to be a compilation of old GT games full of JDM standard cars and premium JDM electric hybrid race cars, while we get updates on GT competitions and speculation of a GT6 game.

Yeah your right, I paid 60bux for this crap and you can believe PD won't get a another wet nickel outta me if they kill future DLC for GT5. Everyone should know GT6 will be another copy and paste version of GT5 full of premium cars and tracks that were either already in older GT games or tracks that should have been in GT5 during the six whole years it took um to copy and paste it together in the first place.

I'm sorry but unless GT6 drops in less than a year, we'd be foolish to continue on with this current version of GT while waiting to spend another 60+bux on a game that was never "new" in the first place.

What are we paying for?
Exactly. We paid for a video game. Anything more that gets straight up DEMANDED by people is foolish. People are demanding consistent communication from a game developer's boss.

Good lord, some of you are ridiculous.

EX-ACT-LY. It's a damn joke. really is the appropriate response to these statements.

To the guy that said he'll constantly keep attacking PD and other members for no good reason at all, who the **** are you?

Let's be honest.. The money we spent on DLC for GT5 is money that we could have been used to buy GT6.. And the content in the DLC is content that can't be used to "lure" us to buy GT6.. So, my question to you is: why can't you be satisfied with what we have?? And just in case you'll start arguing about Forza having more DLC, I say "so what??" As I said, the more DLC released, the more they'll "recycle", and the less interesting the new game will be

Ewww we have a troll in the forums. His name starts with an "I" and ends with an "L" His name's letters are all in capitals mind you.

How is it trolling if he is stating an opinion?

Just because he speaks out against PD and how they have handled gt5 doesnt mean he should be silenced.

Probably one thing worth mentioning the delivery of his opinion could do with some work.

.....Yes. Your right. But some of the things he saids are sooo over the edge, which means it would do some work...

I used to remember the old days when if i bought a game and i didnt like it, i simply took it back or sold it. Nowadays people complain when they don't even have the game anymore. The mods are watching me with hawk eyes so i have to be careful with what i say. suffice to say there are folks here who have nothing better to do other than a) bash PD,b)bash GT5, sony etc Literally everything PD and kaz were putting all their hard work for all these months are either mocked, pissed on, disregarded and put down

Now there is nothing wrong with voicing one's opinion on these forums. We all have the right. But after 18 months of saying how much you're disappointed in PD/GT5 and glorifying the 'other' game people will eventually get tired of it. Personally i think there is alot of insecurity and desperation involved. The constant negativity and the hailing of the 'other' game as best thing since sliced bread. Really really reeks of insecurity

There is a famous arab saying. 'No one beats a dead horse'

I think if they could truly deliver a fantastic GT6 by 2013 I'd vote that way. But with the creation of GT5 they got too caught up in silly stuff and distractions. At least with DLC I would know what I am getting.

Agreed there is a difference between stating your opinion in a general discussion and being aggressive in putting your point across.

That's all that's asked of people who keep complaining in strong ways, for lack of stronger words. They haven't been able to change their tone since I've joined GTP a year ago.

GT5 really is just the foundation of the next GT.

GT4 was so different from GT3, plus it had a ton more content.

GT5 features
It isn't exactly painless to have Time Change in a racing game, especially when considering the outdated current-gen systems and the detail PD goes for.

Sorry to inform you, but you aren't me. And no, GT5 isn't the only game I play. If you're wondering, I also play many PC sims, including RaceRoom and rFactor. I even play Forza 4. Hell, I got an Xbox 360 just for it.

If I purchase something that I don't like, I would at least give out some sort of constructive criticism to trying and help the creator fix whatever problem there is, rather than just mindlessly attacking them. Yes, GT5 is full of flaws and I expected more from it, but you don't see me running around like the Sans Culottes ranting about how life isn't fair.

Because we all know 100% what the item is going to be like before we even purchase, or even lay a finger on it.

Nope, baseless assumptions are not fact, so don't present it as such.

So you're expecting PD to deliver GT6 in under two years, yet you want everything to be new. Make up your mind. It's either, GT6 in several years, not two, and possibly a much improved game, or GT6 in two years, and a rushed game, just like GT5 was, and you obviously don't like GT5.

+1 1241Penguin. I don't think IRONBULL likes GT5 either, and won't bother to like GT6. Little though he knows he'll regret everything he ever said about Kaz and PD when they release something great, or at least GT6 will change his mind completely.

If PD starts focusing entirely on GT6 they might be able to finish it by mid-2013.

Not going to happen. Even if they devote full attention to GT6, I don't expect it by the end of 2013. Even if they just build off of the GT5 engine, it just takes PD way too long to do anything. By the middle of next year they'll still be deciding what to do with GT6, like maybe expanding the oil changes to also include transmission service and refilling the jug of windshield washer fluid, making the car wash into a full minigame, or making it so that collectable paint chips are also level-locked (must be at least level 35 to use the Periwinkle Blossom paint chip). They won't have an alternative to Autovista, but instead will consider expanding upon the drive-two-inches-from-the-shadow animation such that the car stays in total darkness but the player shines a flashlight around its surface by moving the left analog stick.

Honestly it means alot to you. So much so you'd rather get ready to spend money on a game that doesn't even exist versus one that does.

Honestly, while I'm obviously very critical of PD and GT5, at the end of the day I still generally liked it. Forza still beats it, but it's still a good game, and when they do release GT6 I'll still buy it right away. Granted, I'll be just as critical of the points where GT6 falls short, but I'll still buy it, play it, and generally enjoy it.

In short PD has the best skills available, but t10 beats them big time in production, prioritization, and managing resources.
E.g car sounds in Forza are not amazing, GT just sucks in this department. Games like driv3r San Francisco have much better sounds even as they are not even trying to be realistic.
