Hmm, sub-accounts can't purchase DLC via credit card. Heck, they can't even do Facebook updates! Sony won't even let a 21 year old living on his own change his Sub to a Master!

Xbox DLC's are not region locked to game's disc region, big difference. If DLC's were region free we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

DLC PS3 or PSP are same, but this time, GT5 used a method doesn't like other game developer. GT5 is selling the "service".

Some developer may like GT5 included a "DLC" in Game disc or patch which couldn't access them in legal way.

They will sell a "Unlock file" to install on console, due the activation is done, all other user on same console could access the DLC.

That such as Xbox but not required the owner user Log in at same time.

I think Sony is still struggling to find their identity. Why else would they gravitate toward the 'screwing of gamers' that M$ thrives upon. At the same time, Apple has loosened its stranglehold on consumers by allowing us to "share" content amongst family. Looks like Apple went the way of PlayStstion just as Sony went stupid.

Despite what people may think, especially Signature Edition owners, I guess your DLC and my Collector's Edition DLC was ACTUALLY FREE!!!! That's what the evidence says.

I bought it for the hard goods, not the cars.

I think , best way for sony to improve something is to make another one month UNsheduled maintenance and than gift for free everything we are comlaining about.

I don't agree with that. Sony should fix the problem. Simply restore things to where they were. My LBP daughter is still fuming because of the avatars ate locked to my account. I downloaded them for her. Then PD should make all of the paints, DLC & original, unlimited. If I want to have several of the same DLC car in different colors, that's MY CHOICE.

I don't know how M$ supporters put up with this nonsense all of this time. M$ really likes the color green for their logos and whatnot. Of course, it's the color of money.

Those rules have been set in stone as a requirement for GTP races since GT5:P, so I have no idea what you are trying to imply.

That maybe, just maybe, the world doesn't revolve around the rules of an internet forum racing series so why are they in place?

I'm just hating myself right now, I'll need to setup a new one right? this is just plain ridiculous! s**t..... start it all again, just for some crappy cars....

Can't you just change the country? As in.. go into the PS Settings menu and change to US?

Just a suggestion. :)

yeah, I would buy lots of avatars if they were free to use on any of my accounts (have bought only one avatar )

That will not change the country setting of your PSN account. AFAIK, you can't change that (though Sony customer support may be able to, so he will have to call them in order to find out).

It's funny that you would go out of your way to argue that point... The prime reason the DLC locking is BS is because they know how to lock cars to specific PS3's, and make them untradable.

But you'll ignore all the obvious points that have no argument whatsoever, to try to make it seem as though the only reason for wanting to not be limited is for a GTP account?

There's no reason to not allow the cars in the NCD to be purchased as many times as the owner wants.
There's no reason to limit the paint use of any colors in the game, especially the ones that cost extra money.
There's no reason to not implement them the same as the stealth/chromeline cars, as they've proven undupeable, and untradable.

Understand? There's no logic in this whatsoever, other then erroneous programming, and/or greed. That's it.

So maybe, just maybe, the GTP WRS has nothing to do with why this is an ignorant move by them, rather an additional reason it hinders usability for people. 💡

I'm still using the orange cone from 2007 :(. Been waiting all if this time for GT avatars. I really don't understand these people sometimes, treating GT and its fans like we're bastard step children.

I'll type a small feedback text for the "complete pack":

Tracks:

- Spa and Kart court awesome. (no timechange available on both tracks)

Paints:

- well all the speacial ones

Suits:

- White, black and matte black simpson helmets, unique complete racingsuits (Jeff Gordon etc). Alpine white and black suit. The rest of the itmes included can also be obtained via seasonals

Touringcars:

- all pretty nice to drive, but no unique carsounds (but definatly suited ones). The R32 and R33 sound like the toyota minolta, R34 got the same sound like a R34 premium with race exhaust. Rx7 and Mx5 got a nice screaming exhaust note. Impreza and Lancer, imo got a touch from rallycars

Overall a nice pack 👍

Spa really is fun and you get addicted to it :sly:

The content of the pack is fine, it's the implimentation that's not...

Realistically, the only games I've seen using an "unlock" system like this are MMOs on PS3... where you buy the subscription and it goes against your account so you can use the content at any time...

To use it in a racing game, I'm sorry, it's arse backwards. If it was just unlock keys for the content, like the Stealth/Chrome cars, it would be perfectly fine and EXACTLY the same as every other game and work perfectly.... instead they have opted for a system that is just not used for this reason.

You have no idea what power windows are?

Speaking in a dopey voice "duh ok".

I'm done with the DLC argument but don't act like I'm stupid please. I'm from The Netherlands. So yes I don't know what power windows are. I had an idea that it were electric windows but I thought it also could be windows made of strengthened glass or something like that. I do know it now thanks to google. I could name thousands of dutch words you wouldn't know. Like ''ramen''

Definately won't be buying this pack. I thought we would see new and unique cars, not simply RMs, a few karts and one extra track. Wow, after a year, this really is disappointing. It's obvious PD didn't bother to find new cars and photograph the interiors etc but instead gave us 15 fantasy cars :grumpy:

It's surprising how little some people know about there system and also how many are willing to put up with this.

I really wanted to get the full pack even if I always thought its way too expensive for one track and a few RM cars that you can't even rebuy at the dealership.
But no. Sony has to decide to go with this business model with my favorite game on my favorite console.
It looks like I would end up spend way more than the game itself costed, just for dlc, which, like Spa, should have been in since release.
So anyways, no dlc for me and not going to get another Sony product either. Thanks Sony and PD, well done. 👍

PS: I even have the cash on my account since like 3 years only for GT dlc, which I knew would come some time, I just didnt expect such a greedy move late in the product cycle. Well, but no thanks I rather buy a game or something, no $ from me PD!

You already have the money in the wallet so the people who came up with the business plan, Sony, already have your money.

Just give it time. No one knows exactly what is going on behind closed doors at PD. Just because these were released first, doesn't mean its the only thing they have.

We already know that the FT86 II is complete, the MiTo is in production as well as the HSV. I also doubt that Spa and Kart Space were the only two tracks being worked on.

My guess is they thought that Kart Space and these RM'ed cars were the weakest offering they had for payable DLC. Would make total sense to me to package them with the track that was the most requested.

If nothing else shows up for 6 months, then bitch away (I will join you) for now, lets just wait a month and see what happens

I'm sorry, if somewhere in this thread the following question has allready be answered, but I didn't find anyone explaining the following.

I get, that you get only Gift-Tickets for the new cars. But does someone know if you "reget" those tickets if you decide to start a new career (but with the correct PSN Account) replacing your old saved career, or are those cars then gone and you would have to buy the DLC again?

I think PD simply did some bad work, in terms that their program code seems very difficult to adapt. First we had to wait until it was even possible to restart a race without being sent back to the menu, then it took them almost a year until it was possible to save during a race (a ****g year for a save option!!!). Now the DLC was included in the last update, so they were not able to adapt to the psn system neither. Additionally I guess Sony wanted them to include some kind of security to prevent misusage of the DLC and PD couldn't find another way to implement those security messures in their completly screwed up code. Embarrassing

The DLC will be made available again in the GT5 'DLC'-enabler, if/when you start over on a new career on same PSN-account.
At least, that is what is stated by Sony/PD.

What I'd like to know is why did the DLC bundle option get removed from the store?

I actually purchased the bundle and I don't know what to think. Am I lucky to have gotten all the DLC "cheap" before they pulled the bundle, or did I get a bit of content that has something wrong with it?

Has there been any comment as to why it was pulled?

I just looked a moment ago, and the option to purchase the bundle is still there.

I should add, that I have not already purchased the bundle, (and to be honest I won't be as I think the way they have gone about this stinks) so maybe that is why the option to purchase it was still there for me.

I've just looked again, but the bundle was not there anymore (German store).
When I tried to get to the bundle through the 'What's new' section in the store, it provided me with an error message - which I can't quite remember, but along the lines of 'it is not available for you'.

Given that I've already bought the complete package, the availability of the bundle might be dependent on the 'buy status' of the DLC; i.e. you bought it, you won't see it any more.
