Does anyone else feel like the star roulette tickets are rigged?

I’m just gonna collect four star tickets as I get them and try five times once daily, or per game session closing the app until I get a what I want. Whether that’s an ultra high turbo or a 26B. I’m ready to move on from thinking about tickets.

My 2 cents:
PD needs to do away with the roulett tickets altogeather. 90% of the time, despite what star level ticket you get, you will ALWAYS get the lowest possible payout. Example, I just opened a 4 star ticker that had 3 parts 1 car and 2 credit bundles. As per usual I got the lowest credit bundle which only gave me a measly 5000 credits.

Why not just move the parts from the tickets into the tuning store under the tab called Extreme? (Off tangent here but what's so EXTREME about it?) I am willing to pay up to 2 million credits for an engine swap under the extreme tab if that what it takes to move it off the horrid gatcha system. Especially with all the credit farms we have now. It doesn't add up to lock performance parts behind a loot wheel, This is not Destiny 2 where you could get away with that.

Again move the parts under the extreme tab with a cost rangingfrom 1/2 million to 2 million credits (depending on the parts). And if you really want to be protecitive of that, make it unlockable at collecter level 50 (max level btw). I cannot see anyone defending PD for locking parts behind the ticket wheel.

I hope the playerbase rise up the same way they did lst time PD was caught red-handed.

After this short time span all have given up hope of winning anything other than the lowest item shown, be it 2k coins, or unwanted invitations.

The painful part is landing 1 item away from "wanted item".

Its pre determined, not rank or skill based.

At this point its like your better off starting thru menus over to see if you score a "engine swap" .

Goes stale after menus anyways.

The only thing more insulting would be
TRY AGAIN! stamp from license a-10 gold- 👎🥱

This isnt gta casino wheel lol-

You will get the same 5 prizes every time.
Even if 4 of 5 items shown are different after reset, guess what?

That little stack of coins is still yours- 😒

The roulette tickets are a straight up insult. If I didn't find it so funny, I'd be legitimately angry and never open another one again because all they do is humiliate you and waste your time.

What bothers me really, is that I haven't gotten an engine swap yet.
Same as me, and a lot of other people.

For me engine swaps isn't a feature in this game. I have no way to access them no matter what I do. If completing the game to 100% (ok, not 100% as I've yet to get 7 cars to have all 427) still doesn't give you a single engine swap, then it's not a feature of this game.

Yep, considering that car is 3 million, it's one of the best prizes a roulette ticket can give you.

The only cars more expensive are the P1 GTR, FXX K, Vulcan and the Veneno. With the Red Bull X2014/2019 and the Audi R18 2011 at the same price.

The absolute highest value prize a ticket can give you is 3.640.000 in the form of the Lambo Veneno (which is also an invitation only car).

My last 3 ( a 1, 3 and 4 star) have given me suspension and two cars (a GT3 and gt4 car). I used to always get 2k or 5k credits so to me it seems a bit better recently

Regardless of what star the roulette is, I almost always end up getting the one with the least amount of credits, so I stop caring for it a while back and just try to get the gift as quickly as I can and move on. However, I finally got something much better yesterday, which was a 2023 Nissan Z Performance (can't remember what star it was though, probably a 4-star)

I am so dissapointed with this game i have to say. After paying almost 100€ for The game they still dont give you an engine swap. That was The part i was most excited about on GT7... Im writing this after 10 days of saving your precious lotto tickets and receiving The lowest amount of coins on every ticket.. For The maker of Gran Turismo. I expected More of you. Maybe your players will come Back if you just fixed a simple thing and stop holding parts you have promised to people that payed real money for your game. Its getting really annoying

Absolutely correct - I'm working on the balance of probabilities.

It is exactly what PD did for GT5's Used Car Dealer: 4.6-billion day long preset list of used cars, player start point determined by unknown process involving console and player ID (always identical on one account on one console, different on any other account or on the same account on a different console), player advances down the list each time requirements are met, hitting the same cars every time.

It is also very probably what PD did for GT Sport's Wheel of Misfortune: unknown-length massive preset list of rewards, player start point determined by unknown process involving console and player ID (always identical on one account on one console, different on any other account or on the same account on a different console), player advances down the list each time requirements are met, hitting the same cars every time. This one also changed with each update as new cars were inserted to create new valid CarIDs.

What we're seeing with GT7 is each ticket pull being determined before you pull the ticket. That leads me to suspect - and I did say that I suspected, not that this was definitely how it works - that PD is using the exact same mechanism as GTS, only "piss-poor amount of credits" fills in almost all of the invalid CarIDs, with "less bad quantity credits", "car invitations", and "otherwise unattainable car parts" filling in the small number of remaining points.

PD absolutely could have created something entirely new to determine ticket prizes, but it doesn't make any sense to do that when the exact same code filling the exact same purpose is already there.
All tickets are rigged! No point in the roulette, I've got the worst possible prize EVERYTIME!

Depends what you mean by rigged. Here is how it works:

When the ticket is generated, the prize is already determined. The roulette spin is just for show. This has been proven repeatedly, it’s not in question.

You have about a 80% chance of getting the lowest reward, regardless of the Star level of the ticket.

Beyond that, sure, the prizes are “random” within the parameters of the predetermined odds (although the prize is picked when you receive the ticket, not when you spin the wheel).

At the very least, the graphical representation is deeply misleading and makes it FEEL rigged.

Bad design IMO.

Maybe completely anecdotal, but I let the tickets "age" now.

They were so bad before the update, I got out of the habit of checking them. That habit continues after the update. I have noticed the tickets that have aged a couple weeks pay out better.

Again, maybe only anecdotal.

PD did something, have not seen anything lower than 3 star in the last two months from memory. 6 star engine tickets are more random for daily mileage.

Yeah, could be anecdotal

The tickets have been updated, I think it was in 1:17 or 1.18, that after level 20, you have more or less these odds:

1 star ticket: 1%
2 star ticket: 1%
3 star ticket: 30%
4 star ticket: 60%
5 star ticket: 5%
6 star ticket: 3%

So, for those people who are level 20 or higher, which should be most of you by this point, its normal that it looks like the tickets have been better... And they have. I myself have yet to get a single 1 or 2 star ticket in the 50 or so days I've played since then.

But the payouts are still dog crap, with most of the prizes still being the 10k/30k for the 4 star and 5k/10k for the 3 star.

PD hasn't realized yet how dramatic the odds have to be increased for the prizes to be reasonable, or, the best option of them all, should've just scrapped this roulette that isn't a roulette (just for show and time wasting) and find better ways to reward their playerbase.
Like... I dunno... single player events that can reward you those things?

You can also get 6 star tickets that give you engines or special car parts, but again, there's still a few problems with that. They are still incredibly rare, and, the odds of you getting a different engine or car part every time, or just the ones YOU WANT, are extremely small. To the point you will need to spend the next few years playing this game every day to get a ticket and hope the RNG gods deliver you what you want...

I am extremely disappointed that this game's user metacritic has risen to above 2.0. It was extremely fitting when it was 1.5 .

Sometimes the tickets add insult to injury like today where I received a beautiful Nero Ferrari F8 Tributto from a 4 stars ticket except that just 3 days ago I finally decided to buy one from Brand central based on the fact that I did not have tried this car yet.
I run the marathon almost everyday since launch so 🤷‍♂️

Since 1.20 ive only recieved 3 star tickets, nothing higher and no engines from them either.Hoping at some point to get the audi engine for the Mk1 golf gti.🤞Ever the optomist me.

What collector level are you? I’ve mainly got 4 star with the odd 5 or 6 star, but not had anything lower ever since I reached level 50
