Something that might help is using cockpit view so you can see the wheel at the same time.:)

Cheers. I always use cockpit view, but the dash version is my fav in DC. Tried the motion steering but didn't like it, I'm more accurate with the stick. Just not very good with pad as I've been using Logitech wheels since 2002.

I was also more accurate with the stick. It takes hours and hours of practice to become as accurate as with the stick but once you hit that point it's plain sailing from there. I gave up many times before I finally got to the point where using motion sterring is easier than using the analogue stick. Hang in there. :D

Just a heads-up for Monday folks:
Evolution Studios on FB
On Monday 1st June at 10am UK time there will be a significant server upgrade and Game Update 1.16 will be available at the same time. Full details follow...

The servers that provide Challenges in DRIVECLUB are being replaced and upgraded. This will bring bigger, better challenges and improve server performance across the game as we continue to work to make the PlayStation Plus Edition of DRIVECLUB possible.

After the update and new servers go live, your Challenges and Event ...History will start afresh, so please schedule your challenges to end before 10am UK time on Monday 1st June. You can continue to play and create Challenges before the update but please understand that any events that are still active during the update will not continue on the new servers.

Full details for Game Update 1.16 (coming Monday 1st June):

* Challenges will be expanded to support an unlimited number of participants.
* Challenge notifications will be integrated into the Social Hub activity feed for easy access.
* The Challenge Menu will have a new interface to make it easier to join Challenges.
* Evolution Studios Challenges will be added to the Challenge Menu for direct and easy access.
* Invitation options will be optimised to focus on active players and reduce challenge notification spam.
* More of our favourite ‪#‎PS4share‬ pictures created by the community will be added to the Menus.
* Significant technical improvements will be made to enhance server connectivity and prepare for the PlayStation Plus Edition.

Just a heads-up for Monday folks:
Better challenges is a good change but I would stay away from the online until they release a "Official Private Lobby" because the drivers online is starting to make me mad. The drivers in online are gods compare to the drivers in this game.

I've actually had quite a few clean races online over the past month - not that I frequent online that much, but it's definitely getting better.

I take it you are having problems with the AI?

The AI is a bit worst then GTs because both drive at the same style but, the one in GT is more cautious. The time trials isn't that big of a deal for me in mutiplayer, it just that try to race with 8 or 10 people in a race is what I am struggling with.

True, the AI model is quite similar - like with GT6 (and 5) I found watching replays from the far chase cam helped with understanding the AI's logic, and so how to avoid those moments when they are likely to get rough.

Same applies with DC too, I always thought they were unnecessarily rough, and some are. The replays though can tell a different, more complete story and I learned the danger spots and moves that would cause problems. Curious situation is that the game seems to favour taking the inside line for corners, the complete opposite to GT. In replay, you can see how they will yield if you have the line and how they will attempts to swerve to avoid you under braking - hope that helps.

Online though, that's almost the opposite - with the rough players it's a game of fooling them by not being where they expect you to be when they try to ram or use you as a cornering aid. It'll be lots better when the private lobbies are added, eventually.

Looks like we're getting this bad boy.

I really don't understand the fixation of having slightly different/better variants of cars in the game, We have more than enough Ferraris to last a lifetime, give us some new stuff! Private lobbies would be awesome, GTP tournaments would be great.

We have the golf-How about the long awaited hot hatches :D-There are now too many powerful cars imo..I like to throw around the smaller cars round the tight tracks especially in the wet and would love these or more including the new RS focus/Civic Type R/Leon Cupra/ Golf R/ Alfa cloverleaf/ Peugeot gti/Fiesta ST/Fiat 500 abarth? 👍

Sign me up for one Focus RS please!

Has anyone else had the game freeze on the PS4. I have had it in a few races and photomode recently and the only way is to restart PS4 and remove disc..Has anyone else had this or any suggestions to why it is doing this (no other game is)..I have installed all the latest updates etc. I just wondered if anyone else was getting it or just me.:boggled:

@torque99 I've had photomode become unresponsive on me a few times within the past month, where I can't switch to the next setting slider in the sub-menu - but I can always get out of the picture and try a different spot. There have been no game freezes on DC or even console freezes at all though. I trust that your PS4 is fluff free and well ventilated? I say that because it is getting warmer now and I've had the PS4 freeze on other games (but I have two massively fluffy cats roaming around.) I use a fan on low settings when it's warm like this, that usually stops any freeze ups.

I haven't seen anything on FB or Twitter either.

I notice they made the challenges harder in this update but the servers is still messed up because I tried to join two lobby's and I got kicked out of both of them.

Just in case any of you guys haven't noticed - there's a livery which can be unlocked for completing the Startline tour. I haven't even bothered with the tour considering it's essentially a 'best of' collection of events, so I had no idea.

Do we have much interest here for some weekly time trial events here? Should be real easy to do with the in-game 'tools' and long overdue, considering the GT Weekly Racing Series is a large part of the GTPlanet community.
Maybe people were just waiting for someone to suggest and then organise it? :) I think it's a good idea, especially like you say with the screenshot captures and replay saving options to weed out any 'creativity with corners' (not saying that that would necessarily happen...)

I would definitely be interested! Sounds like a lot of fun :D

Count me in

Would be a good idea to make sure it's non DLC cars being used so that everyone can put a time in.
