Within the context of an Arcade racer I deem the 488GTB unnecessary. Of course it isn't the same car, if it was in GT or something similar I'd love it but in Driveclub it literally doesn't make me feel anything positive.

I tend to agree that Evo have gone a bit overboard with Ferraris lately. We have the 599xx Evo, FXX Evoluzione, FXX-K, Enzo, 458, 458 Speciale,.F40, F50....I would love to see a few more hot hatches or sports models rather than super and hyper constantly. However, it is free after all so I can't complain too much.

I am really surprised by the amount of negativity around the upcoming Ferrari 488 GTB. I assumed people would be delighted at receiving the latest Ferrari as DLC.

Same here. Most of the ferraris except for the 599 gto did good around Oliver's landing. I expect the 488 gto to beat the 650s or the 675lt. If it could beat the p1, then it would be OverPowered.

The LaFerrari has a hard job keeping up with the P1 and with the 488 being in super I don't think they'll make it over powered

Blimey you must be getting alot more out the P1 than me. I find LaFerrari much faster. Maybe I don't use the DRS and KRS properly! The P1 GTR on the other hand is a different story, LaFerrari definitely struggles to get near that!!

Even the Hennessy venom have issue getting near the p1 gtr so I can see a lot of cars having that same issue.

The P1 is so fast and so planted around the corner, its mind-boggling.
But, the FXXK sounds nicer

I am still waiting for the LF-A, DC. A car with that much of noise + the game's witchcraft ability to capture car sounds = PROFIT!

Considering its free, its predictable that DC would give a similar car to its list.
Although similar is a subjective word here, as the 488 might look the same, but has a different powertrain.

(Unlike the BMW M5 2013 and 2011, which there's no difference whatsoever, sigh)

The main difference is the near-unnoticeable facelift and a small power bump with the addition of the Competition Pack.

The Competition Pack boosted power from 552hp to 567.

I think one of driveclubs major strengths is all the cars sound and feel different, much more so than any other racer I've played.

As much as that sounds nice to us hardcore Driveclub fans, I don't think Evolution would surprise everyone with someone they'd have to pay for if they wanted it (but I'd not mind that one bit)

At 18:00 BST he added that there are still six hours of the day left, so it looks like he intends to keep to the promise, even though technically it was seven hours left until midnight GMT.

EDIT: looks like it'll be closer to midnight anyway judging by another comment on a tweet he made.

If the Sprint Mode is the surprise then that is about as big an anti-climax as I could imagine. New cars look great though!

Yes they are I think this isn't the surprise, it just mentioned on the video these were from the sprint mode..So could be more?
