Double XP if you use the 15 cars that comes with the PS+ edition of DC!
Although I'm not sure if this is only for online events.

@Rushy33: To be clear the Double Fame is for every #DRIVECLUB owner, in any mode.

EDIT
Just been doing lots of drifts with the RUF on that Indian circuit. You get double XP offline too, lots of it.

I saw a post on Facebook about double fame with playstation plus edition vehicles and I use the zonda r and I drove around until I reached 100,000 fame and did a couple races online and one sprint lap. I was able to level up to 49 from doing all of that. I used the zonda r because I get a lot of fame in every lap in that car.

Having run a few TTs since yesterday to cash in on the double-XP I have been enjoying watching the ghosts of the players near my time doing daft stuff on the tricky corners - it's quite heart warming :)

Further to @GameOver77 and @Nato_777 comments on another thread, I was a bit baffled by another ghost that went roaring off ahead of me right after the start line - now bearing in mind that I'd already done a lap and this was Sknø with it's long straight, so in theory that other driver shouldn't have that much more accrued speed than me at that point. I think I'll do the event again and turn on IDs to see who it was...

If that's the Norweigen track you do have to get several corners perfect to have the fastest straight line speed

The last section before the straight is very tricky, if you go too fast or too slow in one single turn you basically screw up the rest and lose a lot of potential speed and time.

@MeanElf something to check for just in case, is your controller, i had to replace mine a while back, i first noticed a problem on Battlefield 4, i couldnt fire the sniper rifle's despite every other weapon working just fine, then i started to notice i was struggling to keep up on long straights on DC, i was pulling out the draft, getting along side and falling back behind and having to pull back into the draft, was baffling me, then i couldnt keep up even in the draft lol, i could rev up and change gear just fine (automatic gears at the time), but something didnt feel right, bought a new pad and problem solved, back to winning races. R2 has a multi faze trigger and the final faze of the trigger had failed on my controller, set up a 2 player race with identical cars with a long straight from the standing start, dont draft the AI car just stay side by side and make sure you have equal speed. worth checking just in case if its an old pad mate 👍

That's the one. Thing is, I'm usually pretty good with those corners and manage to gain time as a rule, though to be honest, I wasn't aware that going too fast might be detrimental.

Anyway, I realised that I was using my dodgy controller last night with its spongy accelerator, so my previous post is invalid.

EDIT: tree'd  been planning to @GameOver77 - thanks for the heads up.

you can defo be going 'too' fast into a corner aswell, just because you stay on the track doesnt make it correct, slower corner entry speed, quicker corner exit speed, and smooth, take F1 cars for example, insane power to weight ratio, but you never see the best driver's wheel spinning or drifting / power sliding out of corners, your aiming for no tyre screech, no wheel spins, no power slides, and yet being quick on the track. smooth is fast - if DC used tyre wear in the game, 95% of DC drivers would be screwed on endurance races

Yeah I've heard of the DS4s triggers failing for people who play a lot of racing games, using the triggers lots. That's a real shame, I really thought they felt good quality when I first used one. I guess it's just another reason to get a wheel :D

...Or in my case, another reason to hope Evo adds Fanatec support :nervous:

@torque99 I know how you feel man. I'm only level 56. That's 10 levels away, ugh!... -_-'

I'm nearly level 58 now with these double points I'm racing through but had it since launch!!!..You had it what... 1 month?..turbo:gtpflag:

I would like to get to lvl 60 by Tuesday when the double points stop. 👍 (my own fault, spent too much time on the great photomode & on new wheel/pcars when it came out)

I've forgotten how gorgeous this game looks.
Well, you would go off, getting lured back by GT6 :D

Fault is such a big word - you were focused on those pretty pictures and a new toy, just waiting to be explored. Toko is also the embodiment of enthusiasm squared by an unstoppable force and that's where his focus lies - still, a damn good achievement in such a short time

That sounds hilarious, I will give it a go, bet people have still posted ridiculously goid times!!

Yeah I'm not the type to spend hours on a single challenge trying to get the top time. I usually give it a few goes, and when I feel happy enough with my time I'll leave it at that. I don't get enough time for games to really be a contender in these leaderboards (some of them must spend hours on each challenge). But I reckon I must have tried that one 10 times, just because I couldn't see a thing, and kept turning at the wrong times. You pretty much have to do a few runs to memorise the corners, and then drive using the 0.2% vision you've got, and the force, lol. I think, despite there only being about 150 people who'd attempted it, I was still 2 seconds off the fastest time haha.

They found who it was. Someone who follows them replied and said he would send it on to them. They searched through a huge number of Flickr images but couldn't find it.

That is insane, the only time you can see is in the tunnels or when you crash! If you got within 2 seconds of the leader I applaud you, I never even completed a run after about 10 attempts!!!

Well, someone has claimed that it's theirs, so it probably is and they'd got to that far along by the time I posted it here.

So, no one recognise it?
Do they not know? or is some weird game?
A bit of both, I think :)

Cheers mate, but by now the top time is probably another 2 seconds faster knowing my luck haha. At the time I did it, there was only about 150 or 160 times on the leaderboard.

I think I set the 12th fastest time, and that was with a small crash into the barrier on the outside of the last turn. I reckon if I had a bunch more attempts I'd be able to knock another second off my time, but it's really blind luck finding a decent line around those turns, when you can't see a thing lol. Especially that long right hander that tightens at the end, then switches back to a tight, double-apex left.

I'll be happy to finish up in the top 50 when it's all said and done to be honest lol.
