Had a go in the 488, haven't tried the 458 so can't compare but I like it.

Also loving, oddly, the Bentley and the Motorstorm buggy.
How can you have not tried the 458 yet, it's in the game just sitting there :)

As for the Wombat, there's nothing 'oddly' about liking that, you'd need to be seriously grumpy not to enjoy flinging that beastie about the place and taking it where other cars aren't allowed to go :D

Only just turned level 20. Getting there though!

Ahhhhhh should have been specific, the Bentley was the odd one, the Wombat wasn't any type of oddness. I bet it was hoping for a quiet retirement too

@LaBounti I'm really enjoying the 488 GTB too, probably one of my favourite Road Ferrari's to drive so far along with the engine note sound and it is also very fast in gear /powerband..Great fun:D..Good choice by Evo Studios to put it in the game 👍

@TokoTurismo Yes it is that last corner I am losing the second on it is such a sharp brake>tight bend. I will keep trying..:)

Seems on the Driveclub PSN store you can buy Double Fame to last for a set amount of events. R36 so about maybe US$2.50 to double your fame points for the next 50 events you'll do.

I'm tempted, especially since I want to hit Level 66 soon.

Yeah, should be there in your garage @Maxrevv just needing you to unlock via the store. the update last week installed it as far as I know.

Will check in a couple of hours, but the last time I checked, it was not available to download in the Store, nor was it available in the garage (props to DC for the option sort the cars by manufacturer).

This was not the first time, the Lamborghini DLC, I think, was delayed for a week for the Asia PS Store. Miscommunication maybe, or problems at their end, not DC's. Sent a tweet to DC to see what's going on.

Ahh, PS Asia has been a problem in the past. I hope it has been sorted by the time you look again.

Only had a quick half hour blast in the 488 late last night..and promptly stuffed it into the wall at the first corner, not realising it has a wee bit of understeer..but after a few laps was really getting into it...throwing it around corners may not be the quickest way but it sure is fun :cheers:.....still prefer the 458 though for looks and handling, although that may be down to my kamikaze driving style !!

Just tried the 458, have to say that I liked it.

A nice balance, maybe a touch too much understeer (as with many others though)

Also tried the Peugeot EXP1... never again :yuck:

I know where you're coming from. Also, now that stupid contraption is showing up in every Performance class race where no restrictions apply. I wish Evo could give us more Al filtering options.

I thought that'd be an easy win seeing as they can't do high speed turns for toffee.

It's more of an aesthetic issue. When I'm fighting with a Nissan GT-R, Mercedes AMG GT and Corvette C7, it just doesn't look like a serious race when you've got a car with a rear axle that's shorter than the front. It reminds me of those Hot Wheels 'Hardnoze' cars.

That's not nearly as disturbing to my eye as when I'm driving a McLaren or a Ferrari and see a hatchback almost holding its own in front. I'm obviously talking about the Renault Twin'Run Concept.
As far as the EX1 goes, I think it's fun to drive - for time trials at least. And it sounds cool too.

Those twin run are quick little car. I drove against A.I. supercars and I drove pass all of them in the renault.

I was in two minds last night whether to invest a lot of time (read: sleep) into reaching level 66 or just buying the RS01. Since Evo delivered way more for the season pass money than I expected and its not exactly expensive at 1.49€, I decided to just buy the damn thing to support them with a tiny bit of extra moola. Gonna try it this afternoon, but since I absolutely adore any Renault in this game, I have a hunch that I ll love it quite a bit... :D

I did the same. I've been too busy to invest a lot of time into it lately, and as you said, the season pass was such great value for money, that I bought the RS01 to support them, as well as to get my grubby hands on it early :)

I had a bit of a play around in time trial with it, you won't be disappointed

I think I am going to give in too and support evo as I don't think I will get to level 66 very soon with those tough challenges etc and for such great value it will be brought later tonight as it is too tempting sitting there on the dc store :D

Been really busy lately so I was only able to give the 488 GTB a few introductory laps on Sinclair Pass. At first I thought that the slightly larger steering deadzone feels like compensation for players who, like me, play with a DS4. However, the second event I entered it in was a 10-car race on Taapaca reverse. (I like to keep the grid for road courses at 10 cars, and 12 cars for racetracks.) Anyway, I was about to take the lead from the leading GTA Spano at about 87% into the race, when we reached that right-left chicane with the rocks jutting out of it. I hadn't given myself much room to manoeuvre myself around it on the outside line, and when I reached the chicane, I tried to concede the corner and drop back in behind. I couldn't do it in time, and the Spano sent me almost head first into that rock formation, costing me the race. I could almost feel the driver smugly saying ' Welcome to Driveclub' as he powered away.
