Is there a Timer for the amount of hours played for DC?

I checked my profile but maybe I missed it? I'm curious to see how much of this game I've played.

I haven't seen one. It keeps a track of mileage driven for each car though which is a really nice stat to see.

Hey congrats mate, I see on twitter you get a mention by Evo as they are using one of your lambo pics!!  
 
Did my first 3 races and my god does it look beautiful :crazy:

Handling comes very natural with the controller and I find it satisfying.

2 small questions though....

I just wonder where do I disable the aids or are there none? In the settings I can't find them :confused:

How do I make a caracter for myself?

There are no driver aids. To break traction for drifting, you'll need to just force it with vigorous handbrake use.

For customising your character, go to "My Profile", select the "More" option on the bottom right, there should be a menu option saying "Customise your character" or something similar to that.

30GB in 16 hours (does that PS4 download much quicker than that good old PS3?)

Put the PS4 into rest mode, for whatever reason it downloads things much faster.
 
Few questions to those of you who play regularly, does this game have much replay value or does it get boring quite quickly? Also if you play games at 60fps does this game look slow/choppy in comparison? Obviously this game looks stunning from what I have seen but it doesn't seem to offer much in terms of depth and also the 30fps thing is bugging me as I'm a bit of a 60fps snob :P

Does this game have much replay value? Erm, I put the disc in when I purchased it last December and since then it's barely been out. And that's almost entirely doing time trial mode so I've barely scratched the surface on what's available. It's as addictive as anything I've ever played, amount of times I find myself playing into the early hours when I intended to stop mid evening!! Then there is tge photo mode which is almost a game in its own right. The quality of pictures you can take is amazing and so easy to do. That's when you really see how stunning it is. In terms of the 30 fps I booted up GT5 on my ps3 the other day, that's 60 fps and it looked prehistoric compared to driveclub, especially the backgrounds. Oh did I mention the weather effects, the individual differences in every car, the sense of speed, the unbelievable sound of each car. If you get bored you haven't delved deep enough. Have fun just be prepared to forget you had any other games.

The combination of some use of blur and controls which are crisp and lag free does a lot. Yes, you do notice compared to a nice sim running far above 60fps on the PC, but at least for me it doesn't pose any problems.
 
Thanks for the replies, I'm trying to decide if I want an xbox or a ps4 so I can play the new NFS game in November while I wait for the PC version so it's Driveclub vs Forza 6 :)

I've been a big racing game fan since Project Gotham Racing on the Xbox,and without a doubt Driveclub is my favorite by far.I've had it since christmas and i still play it every day while Witcher3,GTA5,Bloodborne+MGS5 sit gathering dust.It was a bit of a slow burn tho,the first week or two i thought it was ok,but the more you play it,the more the game seems to get under your skin.If you like chasing times down,the time trial section of Driveclub is videogame crack cocaine,and there's always a new experience (good or bad) waiting in multiplayer!
As for the 30fps thing,i much prefer the locked,never drop a frame,30fps of DC to the variable framerate of Pcars.Also if you go into settings and turn down/off camera shake it looks smoother still ( although i like me some camera shake,it adds to the immersion i think).
 
Even when you are using one of the prettiest cars ever(Lamborghinis). Did you know that Lamborghini was my favorite car company when I was young.

Never would have guessed with the LaFerrari avatar. ;) Drove a Gallardo when I was 15 on a runway. Drove so quickly but never checked how quick because I didn't want my first time being in a Lamborghini being the first time I crash a car... Ever driven one?

Since we have currently the Frankfurt Motorshow, what are the chances we will get some stuff of that?

Cars are fresh in people's mind, so what better way to enhance the expérience with making some of those cars available within DC!
