Since we have currently the Frankfurt Motorshow, what are the chances we will get some stuff of that?

Unlikely. But, given the speed at which the Mclaren 570S and Ferrari 488 GTB were added to the game after their real world launch, I wouldn't totally write off something like the new R8 V10 Plus or something.

So we get new visual upgrades, new cars, maybe a second season pass and soon on Sony's part we are able to save pictures as PNG. Early christmas this year :)

Looks all very promising 👍

I wonder what "new visual upgrades" means?

The only thing that needs work is jaggies. The rest of the game is beautiful.

But what I'm really looking forward to is private lobbies. Finally races longer than 4 laps.. (I know there are endurance races but they only appear every 6 weeks for 3 days).

The other thing is that we can choose our cars instead of having a limited section.

I don't know about you guys, but I hate time trials. I guess I would do challenges if you could only have 10 attempts and couldn't restart. (Maybe this could be a new mode; 1 attempt, 3 attempts, 5 attempts or 10 attempts without the ability to restart?). Then things would get interesting.

My only compliant visually about the game is that in external replays the cars themselves don't always scale well as they move towards or away from the camera. If they can work on getting better LOD or aliasing settings for the cars that would make replays much more fun to watch.

Hmmm, never noticed this myself. I have on PCars though, you haven't wandered into the wrong forum by any chance?

Never would have guessed with the LaFerrari avatar. ;) Drove a Gallardo when I was 15 on a runway. Drove so quickly but never checked how quick because I didn't want my first time being in a Lamborghini being the first time I crash a car... Ever driven one?
Yep, 5 laps on Adria Circuit in a LP560 (4 years ago) and one hour on the roads of Maranello in a LP570 Superleggera (last year). The next one is going to be either the 458 Speciale or the Aventador.

Me driving a new Gallardo is a completely different experience to Silverstone in a Ferrari 360 driven by someone that really knows what they're doing! Are supercars immune to flipping over when going 70 round a corner or something?

You'll have to PM me some pictures of your driving if you have any, sounds great!

I wonder what sort of visual upgrades they have in mind. The first time they updated the visuals they added heat haze, wonder what could be coming next. This is now really trying to take advantage of the PS4's hardware, which is one of the reasons why I chose Sony's console this generation.

On a side note: What's with the Double Fame on Ferraris? I know it's an opportunity to score more, but what is Evo trying to gain by shoving Ferrari down our throats?

Visual Improvements huh,

" So guys, we managed to get the game to run at 60fps locked without making the PS4 sound as if there's a tornado inside of it"

Sounds likely I think.

Don't hate me if I say (IF THAT HAPPENS) I want an option to have 30fps and 60fps. I just think the lowered frame rate helps the sense of speed and intensity. Don't get me wrong though, I also want REALLY want 60fps.

In essence, we already have a no-restart TT event in Multiplayer. The Team and normal TT runs for ten minutes, which is anything between six and twelve laps. Shorter and intermediary would be handy additions, certainly the shorter, to really separate the seasoned from new players.

You should give them a go.

They would have to cut back on a lot of eye candy to double the fps, they are way past the point of no return on that front.

Not to mention the boatloads of input lag if they don't recalibrate the entire physics system for 60fps.

I was going to get the platinum but I just noticed all accolades have been adjusted and now require a ton more effort to complete. It was already enough of a grind before.

I know it ain't gonna happen but jeez, I'd love some full on proper rally stages. Evo would do a fantastic job I'm sure, but I guess it's the old sentimental fool in me still remembering losing hours, weeks and months on the original Colin McRae game :bowdown:

The accolades related to trophies probably haven't changed though - there have been more added, but they shouldn't be an issue with relation to what you're after.

I find that the stages in Driveclub already show a lot of resemblance with the tarmaq stages of Evo's WRC era. I think they got some inspiration from them.

When it's related to completing an accolade in each category and they go from being halfway through level 4 or being completed and suddenly they're all down around level 2...

We don't know how many fps they can reach now. All we know is that it is locked at 30 at the moment. When the game was launched, they could have chosen to be on the conservative side with 30fps, because they didn't know yet what the impact of the e.g. weather update would be. Better knowledge of the PS4's ins and outs can make a huge difference, and with better algorithms, for all kinds of aspects, significant gains can be made also. At this moment I will not rule out 60fps, with still better graphics, more features and more cars on the grid. It is what I expect from GT7, so why not DC also....

That sounds like a glitch then as the accolade levels haven't increased. There were connection issues across PSN yesterday which could have affected that. I say this as I had fluctuating mileage stats for a car some time ago; they corrected themselves later.

It's a nice dream, but to me it simply sounds too far fetched on consoles with the level of graphical fidelity you see in DriveClub. Games like Project Cars and Forza 6 (even if the latter is exclusive to a console with a weaker GPU) have to make numerous graphical trade-off in order to hit or come close to their 60 fps targets.
Both are good looking games when I've seen them in videos on their own (or in the case of Project Cars, played it), but put them up in a side-by-side comparison with DriveClub and they almost look a generation old.

They might have some rendering overhead now with DriveClub, but I sincerely doubt it's even close enough to double the frame rate. Improved visual effects or more cars on the tracks would be great though, though I also have my doubts about the latter since it might need to go hand in hand with some substantial AI and event adjustments.

Well it ain't much but being a rather average driver I'm quite proud of getting into a TT top ten 👍 using the Ferrari FXX K on Glenmorgan, no doubt you will all have smashed that time but hey ho, it's fun while it lasts :lol:
