Takes a while to get the hang of the cockpit view on bikes. 5.5 seconds slower on a ~3 minute p2p track in helmet cam than in close external.
In cars there's barely any measurable time difference for me between the different views.

Shame not to use the thrilling cockpit cams on the bikes.

Playing with a Driveclub Bikes replay, I notice something about the textures that I don't remember seeing with the cars (or maybe is introduced with the new v1.23 update, don't know).
It seems that the textures are of visible lower quality in replay (gameplay?) that are in photo mode.

I took this little video (watch for the Brembo text fuzziness and the disk brakes roundness):

I think it's always been like that, photo mode definition and image refinement happens as the progress bar loads. I think there is more depth, or richness since 1.23 arrived - but that could just be my imagination :)

Don't know what to say about that. I've been messing around photo mode since April, also taking pictures of the rim, brake caliper and brake disk (similar to the one in the clip) and did not see something to that extent on cars.
Now, with Driveclub Bikes, after the first session of photo mode it "jumped" at me immediately. Something's fishy.

It may well be a tweak to assist the move to more stable FPS speeds.

The new intro is pretty god like. Even if it is a slap in the face of anyone who don't own any of the DLC.
Will probably buy the bike DLC, even though it's disappointing that we can't have both cars and bikes on track at the same time.

VR Driveclub sounds awesome. Still hoping for new locations and tracks.

What makes them so good? Maybe you can let me know, and then @Rushy33!
We talked about this on the WMD forums back during pCARS beta.

The key for me at least is:
1. GT cameras don't simply follow the car robotically keeping it dead center of the image, I.e. behaving like a human is behind the camera, feels more real.
2. Each lap is a different set of cameras.
3. Not afraid to zoom in heavily on the car from some viewpoints.
4. Not afraid to have objects in the way on the panning shots (again, deliberately gives a more real feel)
5. Never feels contrived or artificial in placement or zoom

Driveclub's lighting model is very good, and close ups or scenery shots are great, but trackside replays leave a lot to be desired because they feel so static and isolated.

I agree with the above points about replays.

DC could be so much more with replays. Even within the replay sound department.

I took the FXX for a spin earlier and expected to hear the car echo in the distance with that brutal downshift but I was met with disappointment.

I have to say when the update came with replays I found them underwhelming. I guess I had the Gran Turismo replays lingering in my mind...

God damn you Rushy!

Just one of those moments where you spend the finish straight bumper to bumper, fighting the urge to ram your opponent. Can it really be a coincidence that the name of the AI who beat me is Rushy, though? :D

Certain races have been populated by the Evolution development team and all of the Evolution Tour races are them too, where you'll be going up against their ghosts. Look at the number of his car, it's 33 :)

Private lobbies next week, BOOYAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Source? Also, I'd hope they have something more in store for us? I mean, I've been pushing for private lobbies since I got the game, but we've known that they were coming for quite some time.

Private lobbies? Neat. Anyone interested in messing around with the bikes, just add me on PSN (hint: username).

Had my first go on DC Bikes and after coming from cars, it feels like a completely different game and I have to unlearn every track I knew from the cars. Only unlocked a couple of bikes at the moment but they are a lot of fun and are a welcome break from the status quo.

Has anyone had to delete the disc version of Driveclub so they can install the bike version?
If so what were the ramifications.

I have the disc version of DC and installed the bikes as an add on and it was fine and just linked to the disc version. Did you mean you are purchasing the whole lot as digital and not using the disc? or just the expansion? It sounds like you need to go in to settings and restore licences if this is the case or a quick call to the helpdesk or someone else may be able to help on here soon as you shouldn't have to delete the disc version 👍
