Dan
I do have the season pass and I try to complete one tour each day. I just finished the Evolution tour. Holy crap, those racing lines on A-Class Buggy are something else. You would've fooled me if you said Rockstar Games developers were driving.

Since you have the season pass and you're trying to complete the extra tours, then you'll get all the trophies eventually.

Even the grindin' ones. (A million drift points, lv 50, and the one for the accolades)

Just enjoy the ride, the game is so sweet.

It's true @Dan

I remember the first race with the Ferrari's. Was unable to compete and I wondered how does everyone do it. You'll notice you'll get faster and faster even to the point that legendary difficulty is where you find your thrills for offline play.

I played the Starter Tour and the general careermode before I did all the other tours. For me that was the way to go and the tours after were less frustrating or hard (Exceptions to the rule Atom and Pacesetter).

I have just done the elite level 15 challenge (Gumpert Apollo at Kinloch ) and I was wondering did anyone else find it hard? I did all the previous events after a few trys but this one took multiple attempts over a few days (not that bothered since hyper cars are on double xp)

Well I thought so... by the time I cracked it I only had about 9 miles left to go to complete the Gumpert accolade!

Apart from the number of tries, a familiar pattern for me though - got close (1:16.034 !!), couldn't improve the lap for ages (even though often one or two green sectors), then jumped up to a 1:15.5xx :)

Getting straight and getting power down cleanly after slow corners is key, even for the shorter straights after the first two (proper) corners. Then a good line through the right/left combo to maximize speed out onto the windy section. Easier said than done, I know!

Hello guys, got some quick questions about driveclub.
I planning to buy a ps4 just for drivelclub, but i wont get ps plus, because my main console is the xone, so i wont use the ps4 that much, so it doesnt really pay off to buy ps plus.Anyway, is possible to buy the dlc for the game without psp ? Does this game need permenant online connection ? And can i unlock the club cars for myself ? i read that you need to have a club with atleast two people. Does the club work without psp and can just make an second acc and invite it to the club, so i can unlock the cars ?
Would be nice if someone could help me with these questions :gtpflag:

Let me see if I understood your questions.

By psp...you mean Playstation Plus (ps+)?

So, you CAN buy the season pass without Ps+. But you gonna have to create a PSN ID anyways to acess playstation store and buy it.

The ps+ subscription will be only necessary if you wanna enjoy the multiplayer portion of the game. Keep in mind that ps+ subscribers have acess to discounts on playstation store, and if I'm not mistaken Driveclub has a special price for subscribers.

No, the game doesn't require permanent online connection. However, club fame points are taken in account WHEN you get online.

There're plenty of mates here in GTP with clubs with spots left. If you are not thaaaaat social you can start a club, create a secondary psn id and add this "friend" to your club. From there, keep playing and racking points untill you unlock the cars.

Sounds just like me I had a 1.16.1xx then like you ended up with a 15.5xx. My problem was getting a good lap together I had done a good time in all sectors just not on same lap lol.

To add to / clarify skydragon49's answers...

DLC - need PSN, but not PS+. BUT, take the 14 day free trial of PS+ and buy "DRIVECLUB™ Full Game for PlayStation®Plus & Season Pass Bundle" at the discount price (£15.99 in the UK, dunno where you are). You don't need to stay subscribed to PS+ for it to continue working.

It does like to be online. For leaderboards, mainly, but I think also for double fame bonus (each week something different; this week 'Hyper' cars). It puts up annoying messages when it fails to connect.

Club without PS+ works fine. Second account works fine.

Hah, yes, theoretically I could get a 1:15.2 with my best sectors, I reckon. On my fastest lap the last sector wasn't smooth and on the grass after the kink, and I don't think the 2nd sector was green either. It was all in the first sector.

Could any of you guys help me out designing a livery? I want to make a tribute to the Lockheed Have Blue stealth demonstrator using the Lamborghini Veneno as the base car. I can handle the colors on my own, but I'm having trouble seeing which livery suits it the best.

Here is a list of candidates:
Graphic #19
Elements #2
RPM #2 and #3
Level 50 #22

To help you, here are photos of the Have Blue itself. Unfortunately, they have variations in their camouflage designs, but the last two are of the same model.

I know we're in the middle of hype but I hate to break in some criticism for the harcore handling.

It's just as of now a gimmick for a more challenging drive and unusable when played competitively whether it be races against offline and online opponents, or time attack. It works wonders on drift events (except on FF cars, strangely the normal handling gives out more points despite slowing down more quicker than hardcore mode), but that's about it. I usually believe a driving model with no aids is the best to drive like a racing simulator, but hardcore handling only makes it purposely harder just to mess with some people. It reminds me of Forza's simulated handling option, which is even harder to drive on a city car, but at least Driveclub makes theirs easy to get into. Next update should address these problems by hopefully introducing segregation of leaderboards based on handling mode, and an AI that also uses hardcore handling when the player chooses.

Bring on the next update. Hopefully they'll return to focusing on the main game. I have a feeling the No Limits expansion was just fanservice as the post-game development focuses on Bikes.

Moar hot hatches!

Drift events are such a pain in the ass. I made a status last night saying how I beat one event (Camaro on Nakasendo) by only seven points. 👎

Oh boy... That event... It gave me a huge pain! I remember I once got 1 point short to beat it. I felt like giving up gaming forever. Lol eventually I beat it. Gotta do it again now I restarted DC career.

Edit: found the print of how much hell this gave to me.

I'm at level 78 and already wondering where I'll find the fame to reach 95, 25 more will need many millions more fame

Take advantange of double fame weeks. I'm on lv 49 after restarting DC 2 weeks ago. Playing a lot with double fame cars.

Oh, I do already :) Hyper has been great because the high-speed bonuses really add up. But I've only got a couple of DLC tours left to do, making it harder to pick an event that gets the 2x bonus while also progressing me... otherwise it's just grinding :( Also thinking about only having a couple of high-scoring accolades left to complete - when they dry up .. levels ... will .... seem ..... very ...... far ....... apart
