Dan
For the more experienced players, what would you say is the most rewarding car to master? The Koenigsegg One:1 is a brute, but it can definitely be tamed with practice.

It depends on what exactly u want to do
If u want to do some hotlaps then i would recommend the koenigsegg one:1, mclaren P1 GTR, Ferrari FXX K or the henessey venom gt

Just wondering and a few questions

1 - Are the engine sounds compressed in this game?

2 - why is there no US location

3 - why is there no long tracks?

I remember in PGR 4 there being a ultimate last track to every location, my favorite was the new york track call 'The Bridge Tour' :)

And last officially DC has become my 2nd favorite racing game ever :gtpflag::cheers: only behind PGR4

priceless

Engine sounds I have found are pretty solid, but there again I listen through an amplifier with full Dolby surround sound settings - if you are listening through the TV speakers, it will probably sound somewhat compressed, unless you have an extremely good top-end TV that is.

Countries were chosen that haven't had any, or much representation in driving games. I know Japan appeared in two rally titles, but that's all as far as I am aware.

I can only guess that the lack of longer tracks would be down to the amount of extra work needed to model the environment (they mentioned that some stages in Canada have a million trees modelled on them.) True, they could combine two or more existing stages but judging by the amount of complaints Codemasters got every time one of their DiRT titles did that, my guess is also that Evolution didn't want to go there. Who knows though, maybe they might have intended to build a super-track for each location, but got cut short by Sony in the end.

Ariel Atom? That one is a 🤬!

I 100% agree with you there! For me the Atom is the toughest challenge in DC(even more so after going from pad to wheel).
As for which is the most rewarding car to master, that's a tough one.Personally I gravitate towards to the Super and Performance classes with my 2 favorites being the F40 and the Mazzanti Evantra. The Mazzanti in particular was a car I avoided early on in my Driveclub playtime, but once I'd grown a pair and put some time into learning it's handling I found it to be a grin inducing beast.

Question if possible (and thanks for any replies). My son had downloaded the PS+ version so I gave it a go and enjoyed it. Should I buy the $19.99 package which includes the Season pass or the one for $7.49? Also, what car DLC's are not included in the season pass? Thanks again for any replies!!

A similar question (maybe @Brend has the answer): I've finally renewed my PS+. I've got the vanilla physical copy of Driveclub, with as many of the free DLC's as I could find. When I'm in-game, I head to the Add Ons section and see the Season Pass on offer. Clicking on that takes me to a $25 option on the Store, while clicking on Driveclub Store itself lets me browse all of them, where I find a Season Pass for $13.

...is there a difference? I don't want to get the cheaper one and find out it's somehow missing something (it's dated 08.25.15, versus a '14 release for the other). On the other hand, I don't want to buy the more expensive one and find out it offers exactly the same stuff.

The cheaper variant and the expensive one are the same, you'll get all content that was added up until the final few packs which were excluded. As far as I'm aware they haven't made a version of the Season Pass which includes every single tour pack. You'll get all content up until the Season Pass end date with the cheaper option. 👍 Sony really have made a muddle of Driveclub's season pass and buying options with the PS+ version.

If I was to take an educated guess, the $25 one includes the Base game and the season pass. 👍

So.......

Another quote from @Rushy33
@VG_Dave There is a collection of brand new tracks. Not sure I can comment on development yet - I'll get back to you.

Driveclub not dead afterall :D Hope those tracks will come to the standard version as well!

I can't imagine they would be exclusive to the VR edition. I'd be surprised if they weren't released for the base game via a free update.

If they were to introduce tour stars that require driving with Hardcore mode I'd stop playing all together. I have all the stars, and don't need arbitrary incentives to do them again. Even less so considering they never bothered to fix the god awful penalties for the hardcore mode.

Agreed. I love this game so much, and Hardcore really changes things and forces you to react differently, but the penalties were so annoying. I can't tell you how many times the rear of my car barely scraped the outside corner of a turn and I got penalized for it. Just for scratching a wooden fence.

I still wouldn't buy PSVR for 1 game as I believe VR gaming as a whole will fail.

Great news @doblocruiser 👍

So who is buying PSVR this year> ? DC, Pcars & GTSport pretty much confirmed now (not sure yet about ACorsa & DRally)..Very tempted to pre-order this now. :mischievous:

I was planning to, but the existence of the Neo makes me think that PS VR won't work well on the standard PS4, and makes me very worried that PS VR will fail completely.

Besides, Driveclub will likely remain the only racer worth anything on PS4, as far as I am concerned. Only thin missing is split screen... :irked:

Nope, don't gonna buy PSVR... To much money for it.

On PC games like iracing, Dirt, project or assetto get their compatibility with the VR for free and makes the hole game in VR..
Why they don't do the same with driveclub?

And on PlayStation... Pcars isn't sure if it would come to PSVR.. Depends how much they got to trim the game.(said be Ian Bell in the Q&A tread on the official forum)
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?43313-Questions-and-answers-in-here

Assetto Corsa don't gonna be compatible with PSVR caused by the limitations of PS4 hardware, but can be made possible on the PlayStation 4 NEO (said in the interview with the kunos guys in red bull)
http://www.redbull.com/en/games/stories/1331796496220/assetto-corsa-on-ps4-and-xbox-one-interview

Paul Coleman from Dirt Rally on his twitter account only said the are looking and working on it, but it isn't confirmed.

And for last, the games has to work at minimum of stable 60Fps but sony recommended aim for 90Fps.... And that with big game on the actual hardware of the PS4...

1e1p.jpg

So resumed.... 400€ for PSVR + 60€ for the camera (needed for head tracking) + 45€ for driveclub VR + maybe +400€ for PlayStation 4 NEO to get better games compatible with PSVR... No Thanks.

Hopefully they make a DLC with the new tracks for the original driveclub.

No VR for me. GT Sport will come first and for VR I want to wait on how it'll turn out. Also to expensive and with all the stuff needed I'll skip for now. Maybe when PS5 arrives with VR out of the box/included I'll bite ;)

Here is a quote from Rushy(Evolution Studios)
Great to see all the excitement and thanks for all the questions, but just be aware that I can't really answer much more right now. Hopefully in the not too distant future more details can be discussed

Hope that's good news for the new tracks getting release for the normal driveclub as dlc

mmm...not as positive from you guys as I thought.:indiff:.I did read in the EU the pre-orders have been much slower than in other countries US/Japan etc I think I still have more research on it yet then, it looks like I need to see what Neo is doing first, I guess you could get VR then always upgrade to Neo in the future but as doblo says they might bring the 2 out in a package. If it was all bit cheaper I would be ordering now but it all adds up. Difficult one as I really wanted to get the VR.👍

I'm still going to have to wait until the VR can be tried out - I share the console with my lady wife who has vertigo problems, so you can imagine, we'd need to test it out first. VR isn't that drastically important to me anyway - though I'd like to try it one day to see.

Personally though, I don't think VR will fail at all - people seem to be equating the VR thing with the 3D effort and it's really a completely different thing in terms of consumer interest.
