:gtpflag:New to GT Forums but been racing maaaaannnnnny racing games since Commodore 64 days. A question...Not sure if anyone has asked but in Driveclub I was up to 600 in personal ranking then recently overnight dropped 400 places and now 600 places without any change in my daily time spent racing, many others I know experienced the same... anyone know about this? Ta!

Hi Eaglefeathers. There have been fluctuations in the past and later on more than one correction has happened. Unfortunately, I didn't pay too much attention to my global ranking position during the first year - so can't give a comprehensive comparison - and with the people now running the game being the silent types, there is no info from their side to confirm either way.

My guess though is that some players have found an exploit/hack and have begun to climb rapidly up the leaderboard. I'm floating around position 1900 currently and that hasn't changed much in the past few weeks. Like I say, something similar happened around May and then it got corrected, so I can only assume the people in charge do keep an eye on things.

Sorry I can't offer anything more definite or specific - maybe someone else here will have something for you.

I hope the Wombat Typhoon will be available. Driving this buggy in first-person will be super fun! The front wheels so close to you.

Also, want to know about the riding mode. They said that you can ride in a passenger seat? I wonder if one player can control the car and look at the TV screen, while the other player will be sitting in the passenger seat and enjoying the ride in VR.

Still no definitive date for the DC update:

Well, it probably won't be long now - outside of conspiracy theory, I can't see there being much reason to delay the patch.

The Driveclub Photo Thread is one of my favorite threads on this site, but it takes forever to load because of so many images on each page. If you guys could find out an alternative way, such as posting links to Imgur.com albums, that would be perfect. Pages would load faster, and everyone can still enjoy the photos.

It'd be nice if we got some news as to when these new tracks will appear in the main game, why couldn't they be released same time as the VR release?
Maybe they will, I have no idea and the suspense is really getting to me :grumpy: Hopefully it's just a matter of testing the patch and releasing when done, but with so many games launching tomorrow, maybe the PSN testers are backed up with work.

Personally, I'd hoped that we might have got it sooner than the DCVR launch.

I agree, it has become a problem on all the phototopics. I watch less and less because the images simply won't load and I need to refresh the page several times before I can see them.

Those images from the new tracks in the video above look attractive, very attractive :)

Even for my reasonable connection, they can load slowly. I can't help feeling though that this site needs a serious upgrade, it often won't go to the next unread post when I return to a thread, even after two or three attempts.

Driveclub VR getting reviews mimicking my thoughts then. Some places a bit more harsh but at least we got some new circuits!

No Kidding at the harsh reviews

Metacritic - 65

Digital Spy – 1/5
Hobby Consolas [Spanish] – 80/100
IBTimes UK – 3.5/5
IGN Spain - 7.3/10
La PS4 - 60/100
Push Square – 6

:indiff:

Must admit the new tracks look as uninspiring as the Scotland city tracks, just couldn't get into them..I've hardly raced them apart from the first few days. Nothing will ever beat the original tracks in my opinion; Munnar, Trotternish, Luiten, Glenmorgan, Cayoosh Point, Putre, Tapaca et al are all pretty much perfect and still love driving them after all this time, still I guess the new tracks when they do arrive will be fun for a while

I wouldn't pay too much attention to reviews @Chikane - it's what the tracks and game mean to you that's the important bit.

I'm glad a few of the tracks have shown up - I was cursing the first one though for being night-time.

I've read some off the reviews..

All of them saying that the graphics downgrade is quite a bit.

The guys of digital spy get sickness playing.
The guy off the Spanish review feld a bit sick and said that it isn't for long time game periods.

And no dinamic climate, AI cars from 12 to 8.

And savedata from the original driveclub don't work for driveclub VR...

So i would say that the average score of 66/100 is OK for what the game offers.

Hopefully they launch soon the Update with the new tracks for the original driveclub!
And enjoy them with good quality graphics and dinamic climate

Other than the sickness issue @Donnced all of those changes were known about months in advance, so they shouldn't be a surprise to reviewers.

Like I said though, I didn't read what they had to say.
