I have the PS+ Edition upgrade pre-ordered and am very much looking forward to it. My PS4 really needs another racing game.

Those that think Driveclub doesn't look great graphically need to get their eyes tested.

Im really confused at what you expected this game to be. I thought it was pretty obvious from the beginning it was going to be 75% arcade and 25% sim

There are some here trying to tell me it will be the next driving sim. I am expecting it to be just another NFS arcade game with some pretty graphics.

Moot point really, nearly all of us will be playing on hand controllers as only two wheels are currently supported :-(

Really? I got the impression that most people here accept that it'll be somewhere inbetween sim and arcade - the devs themselves have said it often enough.

Thanks for the photomode mention there @Ddrizle - so do I dare hope photomode will be in at release? It certainly looks comprehensive enough and has that very important feature of a slow advance.

DC Gives GT7 a run for it's money, PD will have to work hard to pass Driveclub's level of detail graphically.

I don't think GT7 will look better than DC. The car models might come close, but the environments no way. DC is a tech demo though so it's expected. Even on PS3 I feel Ridge Racer 7 has better graphics than GT. GT tries to have the best graphics that they can, but they also a lot more cars and tracks to make and the PS4 will have to do a more complex physics simulation (including for the AI as well).

What GT does amazingly is the lighting model. Environments are pretty bare, there's a lot of aliasing, unstable frame rates, but despite that I can spend hours just watching replays with the GT lighting model because it really looks great, replay angles are great, and the different replay camera angles per lap is a great touch.

In comparison, Forza, pCARS, AC, iRacing and Codemasters games all have more interesting/exciting environments but nothing quite achieves the realistic lighting and colours of GT, and none of them approach GT's attention to replay angles and variation. I get bored much quicker watching replays in any of them because the lighting never quite does it for me, each game looks slightly off.

One of the draws of DC for me is that in many videos their lighting model seems to approach that of GT, but with vastly more awesome environments, draw distances, etc... But obviously replays are needed to really appreciate the lighting :)

So , finally , Rushy confirms that replays are coming to DC :)

Now , I'm gonna buy a brand new Sony HDTV , the PS4 , DC , and the seaosn pass !.

I don't know your budget, but if you aren't going for the most expensive ones, I can really recommend you the Sony KDL50W828 (or 829, depending on region). Absolutely amazing TV, and claimed best TV in it's price range (upper middle range) by quite a few.

I have it myself, and the picture quality is superb. And it has one of the best response times for gaming of any LED/LCD TV's out there.

What GT does amazingly is the lighting model.

What? GT's lighting model is utter garbage. On several tracks you can't see a thing in the dark, and on several others, the lighting completely craps out during dusk/dawn.

And yet despite those issues (I'd call them outliers) GT still offers by far the most realistic looking lighting I have found in a race sim. If you don't agree, tell me which race sim you think offers more realistic looking lighting?

Not sure if been discussed but the full game upgrade is only £34.99 BARGAIN !

Think the season pass in gonna be £19.99 so everything for the price of a normal game.

I can't wait !
