I'll let mine download over night.

Funny coincidence, I've been watching anime the whole day (I'm on holidays, leave me be:dopey:) then next thing I know the Driveclub Japan update comes out. Real funny indeed!
Sony are watching you...

Finally some Touge tracks / roads in a fantastic game! Just a shame that its missing some Japanese cars still to make it more fun, i got the game since friday and it just gets better and better playing it! Is the season pass worth buying tho?

I really feel like this is the best racing game I have ever played now. I have never been so immersed in a racing game like this one ever before.

The experience is truly incredible with the new sound effects this patch, the crowds and other things disabled, weather and no UI.

It's hard to say until we know exactly what cars will be included over the span of the season. So far, I think the first pack was amazing, where as the second falls a little flat. Overall, it's cheaper than usual. Most season passes today seems to cost the same as a full priced game, where as the one for Driveclub is half that. Ultimately, I think it's worth it.

On another note. Taken from the official Facebook page.

"On the PS4 "Update History" for DRIVECLUB it lists one change that has not actually changed - yet.

* "Adds the option to choose from a collection of factory Paint Jobs (by pressing square) during vehicle selection prior to an Event."

This is almost ready, so will be added to the game in February. Sorry everyone!
"

Me like.

I have no problem with buying the season pass as I like the extra events each month too. It also supports Evolution, which can't be a bad thing considering how much fun we all seem to have got out of this so far.

It's worth it in the sense of you're getting good solid extra content at a good price. It's not just cars but also events as well so you can use those cars. Plus, for 25 Euro, It's good bang for the buck.

@MeanElf Sony, if you're watching me.... Please make PS4 Online Multiplayer free like on the PS3 :D

Or you could just buy that pack separately if they add it?

Basically for the same reason that @MeanElf bought a season pass, I haven't seen a car yet that really tickles my fancy(I've never really liked super cars that much) but a Trueno would be a perfect car for the game's Japan circuits.

I m actually struggling a bit with the handling after a break of like 2 weeks or so. The C7 is kind of a horrible turd where the front tires goes instapoo even on the race tracks and the engine is the slowest revving engine in the game..?! The Alpine is dangerously lively too, for a track weapon with slicks thats not very believable (kinda fun to hoon though). The only car that felt great today is the F1 LM. Maybe it is cause I tried playing with 540° since 900° was just too slow for the Japan tracks.

A propos... Good heavens, are those phenomenal! Not only astonishingly pretty landscapes and sceneries, also the track design itself is spectacular. Takanagi (the one with the CX-75 preview video) feels like a prettier Bathurst on speed, just insanely great to drive!

Watch another 1,000 hours of Anime and they'll probably listen ;)

I loved slinging the Spyker around Touge style earlier on the switchback track, and tomorrow after work, I'll be looking at the rest of the tracks.

I've drivent 1031 miles but still haven't got the 'Lifer' trophy? Anybody know what that is about?

I'm part of a club.

EDIT: Silly question, I presume that the 1k needs to come AFTER being in a club?

Yes.

Strange thing, btw. Yesterday after driving them for about 2 hours, the snazzy new stats at the bottom of the track images still said that I ve driven 0,0 km on the Japanese tracks.

Same for me, then they updated suddenly, so maybe it's like Father Christmas, you'll get updated a bit later on ;)

Hi guys, (sorry for my bad English)

I noticed a little problem that disturbs me about the Japanese maps.
The head cam has a sort of white filter on the screen, it's like the gamma level is really high. But I noticed this only on Japan, the others country are all ok, it's curious.

Here two screenshots I went to do to illustrate (sorry for the bad quality) :

Scotland :

I precise that I play on a PC screen and I have these PS4 video parameters :
RGB - Full
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr - Full
Deep Colour - Automatic

I don't have a Twitter account so if one or many of you has this problem, can someone talks about this to Paul Rustchynsky ? :embarrassed:

I saw a post about this on FaceBook, which the team also reads - can't hurt to let them know via Twitter too though.

Evo are already aware of this and it will be fixed in the next game update. 👍

Where can I find the heat haze?
Good question, I haven't gone looking yet - I'm guessing it will only manifest at the hottest part of the day, using a long-range shot up the road so that you are looking along the tarmac. Going to have to experiment.

I've tried chile but no dice, will it be like GT3's Laguna seca's infamous heat haze?

The heat haze is there. It's easiest to see during the pre-race footage (track is loaded, but you haven't started the race), where you're overlooking the track and the environment. I haven't seen it during a race yet, but I haven't played much and haven't looked that closely.

The effect is a lot more subtle than what was in GT5 replays.

Yeah, Chile wouldn't have done it for you, as the tracks there may look like it's hot...but it's a lot cooler up at that elevation. And I think you're right, it's very likely been added for the replays. I wonder if that means we'll have more range of movement from the vehicle?

Made this thanks to them having the HUD removable and camera still moveable. It's only 720p cause I only have the PS4 to use for capture, and the editing software only allows 720p export.
Lovely job there! 👍
