Driver: San Francisco

Leon and I do that, the game modes get boring after a while so we make our own. If you don't score in tag you get about 10 mins free time :).

Me too... it's so easy, I have to laff sometimes.

I started boasting then ended up getting confusing hate mail lol.
I got called an offensive term for someone from outside europe (I obviously wont state exactly what) now im british my family is british and we have a british voice. If anything Im cosidered posh.

lol. Everyone at my school says I'm posh.

Anyone from the US got this yet?

Is the free roam vaguely accurate to the real city?
There have been few re-incarnations of San Francisco that are accurate:grumpy:

The only exception is RaceDriver:Grid's SF track, but that's off topic...

No, it's not out for another week here. And from what I can tell, a lot are going to wait until it's cheaper. There'll be Day 1 buyers, but not a ton.

I still thought it was released yesterday in the US. My copy should (hopefully) be coming today.

Oh my, it looks like they've pulled a GTA4 on us, you can only access a few of the cars online. Are you serious. 🤬.

I also don't see where you can use your cars that you own offline, online. It was a said feature of the full game.

Im enjoying the game so far! Very fun! Really harks back to the original Drivers, I dont mind the slightly outlandish "shift" power as the game is genuninely very good.

Btw, tip for the UK people (in case you were wondering how I got the game yesterday) check your local CEX store, I got mine in there as they have it in stock at £38.

I preordered it and I haven't got it yet!

Nope. It isn't even remotely close to looking anything like the real SF. Marin and the East Bay are completely off also.

That's why I never bother with pre-ordering and delivery. Oh and by the way, I've already finished story mode.

I hired it at blockbuster last nite after being out a family get together.

Came home and put MW2 on, cos my friends were all playing, started Driver at about 11pm.

Realised it was 4:40am when I hit the PS button to read a message.... went to bed.

It's cool, I like it, I won't buy it, as I've almost finished it, and I have only been playing for 5 hours.

You unlock more and more of the environment as you work through the story, and as each area unlox, you find different cars available on the street.
I have enjoyed the Ruf's and the Jag E-type I bumped into, as the passenger was a whiny 🤬 and she did not like it when we went for a donut.

I'd have thought that would have kept most american women happy....

IMO the cutscenes are awesome, though somewhat repetitive, and I thoroughly enjoyed what I got upto so far, though it feels short, as I can see how fast the story is progressing.
Having said that, I am aware I have hired it, and I am on a mission (pardon the pun) to get it done before it goes back, though it would appear I can go around and do the side missions along with the story mode at the same pace, as I will still have it 100% done before it needs to go back to blockbuster..... bit short this game... but; some highlights.....

Lapping a pre-determined course in the Lamborghini Countach is the fastest I've been so far, and unfortunately, the GT-R sux at turning; unless you drift.

I heard somewhere in a vid that all 120 cars are in the game for some reason, and indeed, I am now able to buy all kinds of buses and big trux from a certain garage in the game, but why on earth I would ever want to drive an open-top beetle from 1850 up some of those hills I do not know.

My advice: rent it if you are scared of spending money on stuff you may not like, buy it if you aren't.

:irked:👍

Have you given online a try yet? The gameplay is mostly found online rather than offline, which is, way too short.

I'll make sure to do so, I'm not going down the same route I did when I purchased GT5 SE for £140, that really hit my small bank, and to think I could've bought DIRT 3 and this if I payed the regular price.

I would love to give online a try (I hired out the game, you see) but I can't because I don't have a STUPID UPLAY PASSPORT! $18.90? GRRRRRR!!!:banghead:🤬

you sir obviously dont know American women

Being English, living in England and only having English TV to go on, I would have to agree.

The only ones I've met have been students who are hipster types.

None of them have been overweight, or had a penchant for donuts.

So if you're saying that most American women do not like to go for a donut, which is contrary to every 80's American film I've been subjected to, then you sir, are damn right, I know sod all.

Actually, you only need to spend a few minutes in my company to work that out, but I spose it could take anyone slightly longer on a forum......

Anyway, I am enjoying finding all the tokens to do the challenges by using a LP670-4 and the boost button.....

:irked:👍

This game is awesome. I bought the collector's pack on 2th day and completed the story and every activity, dare and challenge yesterday. I liked the story very much. The last mission was great.
The online feels pretty good too, played it to lvl 4 yesterday. One of the best games of this year for me!
