I believe that the audi needs about 3-5 more horsepower as its slightly short to the pesco and a few other LMPs at the moment.

The audi can run up to the pescos time with a good driver in seat but the pesco seems to be slightly faster.

Just my 2 cents on the BoP, wondering if maybe other teams can pitch in just an average of where they are sitting at to help level out the field slightly.

Just a thought :)

Thanks

I agree. I dont know what the target time was, but i'm about a sec faster a lap in the pesco. The Audi need a bit more power to compeed at all.

I kinda want to ask what the cut-off times for LMP are but if you're all anything like me you'd like to keep them hush hush; coz competitiveness! ;)

I feel as though my original estimates for LMP were either a little too optimistic, or I'm just a damn sight slower than I probably should be under the actual BoP.

The ACO spent all of the 2000s trying to keep LMP at 3:30 and above.
And just like the ACO, I've completely failed at this attempt. Not to the same extent as the ACO did, but we're at 3:30 and under in QP spec, probably bang on 3:30 in race trim. Of course that's all a bit different on the 05 layout so its a bit of a mystery for pace in the 6 hours.
However come Le Mans 24 with some proper setup and testing time with guys taking every last inch out of the car, we'll probably see 3:30s broken in race trim.

Well, you kinda have to give some credit to the technology of the cars at the time, but if that's the case then ACO reeeeally underestimated the rate of development.

I have a bit of time to find in terms of pace around the 2005 layout, but I've solely been basing all my GTS and LMP times on the 2005 layout and not the 2013 one. Perhaps the amount of time I need to find on the 2005 layout isn't as much as I feared if testing was on the 2013 track...

Its 21,00 GMT right?

UTC and GMT are essentially the same thing. I know there's some reason for calling it UTC now rather than GMT, but I don't follow too deeply into the details. :)

I use UTC because then the Brits don't get confused when GMT ISN'T always their timezone due to going to +1 in summer.

Holy mother of...I never thought it was that bad when you told me about it
Luckily it doesnt go like that unless I manipulate it slightly, but when I was telling you it juts over to the left and gets stuck, if I didn't actively wiggle the analogue a little it would stay like that. That's nothing... You've seen the next picture..
