Sadly I'm the only official about and I lack the required hardware to run a stream.
Also it appears we only have 1 car for the session so might be a bit dull.

The spirit of Le Mans is strong with this one....

Sucks I'm at work, but sucks even more that I can't provide anything for you just yet regarding streamed content... the way plans are going it won't be until after Daytona. :(

Le Mans 2005 6 Hours Supplementary Regulations
1.
If a driver misses the chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight, drivers are to continue straight through and slalom through the barriers.
2. On the Mulsanne Straight, LMP-class cars are only allowed to pass on the shoulder of the road (in the red paint) if the road is completely blocked by two GT-class cars.

Reminder about track limits:
While the track limits are two tires on track, the white and blue striped curbing does not count as track. The track limits extend only to the inside of the curbing. Especially watch yourself at Tertre Rouge's exit as well as the Ford Chicanes for this. Mulsanne corner also does not have any curbing to the left on entry, therefore that painted white line is the boundary still.

So who isn't starting the race that we can borrow to stream timing/the race while Peelster is unable to?
I'm setting up timing ahead of time. A backup person would be nice just in case something goes wrong with the steam, as I will be unable to reset it.

I may be missing it, but where is the Parc Ferme going to be? I'm clearly not going to be the leader being in the GT class, so I won't be the first one there, but inquiring minds would still like to know.

While we do not have a working track moment, the Parc Ferme will be at the entrance to the Bugatti Circuit after the Dunlop Bridge.

Thanks for the efforts getting this race together; much appreciated as it has been a long time since we have participated in a race on gt6.

I hope whatever connection issues i experienced at the start of my stint didnt cause any issues with other drivers. I know there was one LMP not visible to me and hopefully me not to him. If i caused any issues with said car, i sincerely apologize.
Peace Everyone

Thanks to those who put the race together. I thoroughly enjoyed myself despite not really having another competitor to race. Just got passed by LMP's all night. Speaking of which, apologies to Stigs to first time you went by me. I was trying to keep to the right and stay out of your way as we slowed down into the second Mulsanne chicane. I think I ended up getting in your way instead. Glad you didn't rear end me! :scared:

Thanks to everyone who took part and to the stewards who continue to work hard in these sessions. MWM proving yet again that staying out of trouble with the stewards wins races, and their pace today was respectable to say the least!

Unfortunately CWM are slipping in terms of preparation and the luck we're having in terms of connection is really spoiling our races. That said, all our issues are coming from the lead up rather than the races themselves, but I'd like to thank @Antares26 and @DeltaJuliet for joining me for the event.

Fortunately, we weren't able to see each other, so there wasn't any risk of accidental contact on track. That said, it's not ideal as we had to rely on the stewards directions for blue flag situations, which may have delayed you by a few seconds more than intended.

AS A STATEMENT: If any team has questions or concerns about this series, please, PLEASE, leave us feedback and talk to the officials. We want all of this to be a team effort, and make this series as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

We realized we have made this series more serious than we had set it out to be, and have quickly taken away a lot of the fun from just racing each other. We set out to change it back while still having a certain level of seriousness and fun!

I'll be honest here; its really only let down by the other teams that you've invited that either don't reply or don't wish to attend, and probably isn't enjoyable to the teams that tend to get flagged for a LOT of penalties during races... either way, I think most of the lack of fun is self-inflicted. If invited teams turned up and drivers/teams kept to the rules a bit more, more drivers per lobby and more cleanliness would make for closer, more enjoyable racing.

A media platform would also be a great addition and I always loved the commentary of AJs series, and I have every intention of bringing the stream element to you but sadly not as soon as I would have liked.

First off! Happy New Year's Eve everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying their holidays so far and had a fantastic Christmas.

So! To get this out there and in the open, our next event is going to go back a few notches in terms of seriousness, and we're going to have some fun!

The next event, which in two weeks time, is a Mazda Cup race, featuring the 1989 Mazda Roadster Cup Car (Mazda Roadster TC), at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca! The event will be split up into two parts of 2h events featuring one driver for each heat, with a short 20 minute QP session prior. All vehicles will be under stock power and weight, with no body modifications allowed.

While we did mention this event once before as an idea, due to the support it had the first time, and the fact we need to enjoy the series again, we're going in full swing with a few occasional fun events from now on.

If you or your team would like to race and enjoy some fun time on the track, remember to sign up by messaging either this post, or any of the stewards directly (or all of us at the same time, if it helps!).

With time almost nigh for another year's end,
It is with great hope in mind that I wish to send,
A message of well-being in the coming New Year,
A conveyance of gratitude for all to hear.
May you all find fun, and peace and love,
And moment of silence for those gone above.
To those I call friends in a place such as this,
Let the year cometh bearing prosperity and bliss.
I am honoured to know you, this much is for sure,
And I hope 2017 gives us plenty in store.
Excitement, entertainment, and plenty of cheer...
May all at GTPlanet have a Happy New Year!
