TBH, I agree...

An early morning start (sun coming up in the 1st lap) would be VERY nice as it would give a feeling of natural progression on a very long track. Plus it would make for some GREAT pictures...

Mercedes Benz is really dominating the manufacturers standings! We need to do something for next season to give the other manufacturers a fair shot. Maybe set a minimum weight of 1200kg?

Real time = 20:15 - Room Open - Race Time = 21:30 (Dark)
Real time = 20:30 - Qualifying starts - Race time = 00:00 (Dark)
Real time = 21:00 - Race Starts - Race time = 05:00 (sun rises at 05:00, Dawn)
Real time = 21:09 - End of 1st Lap - Race time = 06:30 (car lights go off at 06:35, Light)
Real time = 22:12 - End of race (8x9min laps) - Race time = 17:00 (light)

so, qualifying in dark, 1st lap at dawn, rest of race during daylight.

Was thinking 1100kg.
Also maybe a points penalty scheme for using certain cars (-3 for CLK, -2 For TT-R etc.)
Or
A point gaining scheme for using other cars (+3 for Alfa, +2 for MB 190 evo, +1 for A4 etc.)

Qualifying in dark??? I really don't know about that...
And another thing, with 30min qualifying time we only be able to do 1 good lap, if you don't have any problem....
When you set the beginning time for a room, it runs continuously or when the race begins it reset to the first time?
We could set the time so we start race before dawn lets say 4:30 and set progression so we end it at dusk 19:00, 20:00(i don't know what time sunset in Germany) that way we have a sense of all day racing.
what you guys think about that?

Me and symp were just thinking the same thing.
The game sun rises at 05:00.
The game sun sets at 21:00.
The game does not go back to the original start time when you start the race.
If you want a dawn start then you have to have a night qualifying. Unless you restart after qualifying. But then you need someone to be using the watch race feature to get everyones times etc.

That reminds me of another thing that is still not clear for me. When qualifying in a public lobby, if you leave the track you loose your time?

I don't mind btw if we quali in the dark and I aldo don't mind if I start at the back because of that. I think the Nordschleife has plenty of place to overtake so the fast ones will be at the front before the 1st lap is finished. How many points again for pole position? We have to avoid spending half a race at qualifying...
