Thanks for the pictures JT. I am sorry I can't join tonight, having friends over who like to play on the PS, but they are not racers. Hope to catch some miles before next week, I am not familiar on the ring.

The NA race at Monza went well, nothing really to report. This is a dull track for action shots but I still took a few...Mostly of cmbeals newly painted SLS. 
Anyways, here we go!
We had 9 drivers and everyone kept it clean and there was some close racing for 1-4th places.

Start of the race!
First turn
Not much else to report really... After 5 laps the field started spreading out and for the first time during the DTM Series we had multiple drivers run out of gas! I had to pit for gas, this was the first race I had to worry about my fuel levels.
Positions as follows,

Just noticed a mistake. It will be a 6 Lap race, not 10 laps. Each lap takes about 10 mins. I'll fix the graphic when i get a chance tomorrow.
But 10 laps would be soooo fun!!

I did 1 out lap plus about 5 corners of a fast lap (crashed and burned) and that was about 12 minutes. Wasn't really pushing it in the out lap but wasn't that slow either. When i did push it in the first timed lap i lost control really quickly.
I wont be running on Friday, i have my own 600mile monster to conquer myself, but i will be running practice sessions most nights this week.
I'll change it to 8 laps if that is the ideal distance. If i was racing on Friday i would be aiming to do 9 to 10 minute laps without damage and wait for everyone else to hit some walls (or run out of fuel, lol)

Im not racing this weekend, off to see some friends around the country before my exams. Sub 7min laps are possible, i run a 7.10 lap whilst going off a few times. Top tip; dont push 100% only push 90-95% over wise the ring will bite you in the a$$

Sub 7 mins on the 24hr course?? You sure? My best is about a 8:30.xxx

Maybe we'll have to vote on the amount of laps by the people who really gonna race this green hell Friday. You all have driven this thing with tyre wear for more than 2 laps and damage set on heavy?

Got a practice room open. Nurburgring 24hr Change weather/time. Racing this circuit in the dark really does sharpen the mind...
Doing about 9min laps but straingly feel more comfortable than during daylight...

Think i might be able to race the NA series race on Sunday morning. 4:30am alarm, 5am GMT race start followed by Australian F1 Grand Prix at 7am GMT. Sounds like a plan.

Im just running some night practice right at the moment. We could have a time progression that mimics a 24 hour race though. If the track settings are set to start at 1pm, TP of 22, sunny, fixed then our 8 lap, 1:10 hour race will be over the whole 24hour cycle. Just a thought. That do you think?

Would only be for 1/3rd of the race. So about 3 laps. Plus you would have had 3 laps to get to know the green monster...

Hey, don't get me wrong! I love The Green Hell! I. Live on that track, it's my happy place! But those freaking headlights are no good!!
